Cèdre & Iris Soyeux

The opening of Cèdre & Iris Soyeux is such a nice surprise: flour-y woods with a touch of camphor and red berry fruitiness which recalls quite well the nuances that I perceive in Atlas cedar and Virginia cedar essential oils. Initially, I can't really discern the iris. But as the cedar gradually mellows, the rooty woody nuance of iris becomes more apparent, but never overwhelms the whole composition. The flour-y wood of cedar eventually leaves its place to the clean iris, with just a tiny bit of slightly balsamic violet lipstick, quite subtle and elegant as a skin scent. The sillage is initially moderate, but quickly drops close to the skin. The longevity is around 7 hours on me. Although it might not be as striking as other more expensive iris or cedar fragrances, Cèdre & Iris Soyeux is very decent at this price point. Moreover, I find that it showcases certains aspects of cedar quite well. If you happen to be looking for an affordable, elegant and comfortable woody iris fragrance, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

100 Bon is an innovative, niche and ecological perfume brand from France. Their bottles are refillable and super affordable! For a 50ml lighter edp perfume they charge 33 pounds, while for the black concentrate costs 45 pounds for the same size. The refills of 200ml are under 80 pounds! The fragrances are based on two main notes but they are all interesting compositions. Cedre and Iris among the obvious, also feature sunny orange, bright neroli, adorable powdery notes, along with warming benzoin, mysterious incense and cold vetiver. The result is a distant, retrospective fragrance. A very intellectual fragrance too. It is woody, powdery and clean. A great scent to wear in the library or by the sea, on a windy day. ************* I am revising for my philosophy exam. I will make sure that this powdery, classy and cold perfume reminds me of Kant, Nietzsche and Schopenhauer.

Soft woody iris. Somehow grounded. When wearing this I usually find my self wondering where the nice smell comes from. Its something about Cèdre & Iris Soyeux that keeps fooling me and makes me think it comes from somewhere ells. I didn ́t plan to buy this, I was checking out the brand, madly sniffing everything, loving the concept. I ended up buying "Davana & Vanille Bourbon" because I found it happy, summery and unlike my usual scents. But this one sneaked up on me. I kept sniffing my arm and finally I gave in.

Ive bought this one today,wow i really love the opening and the dried down,reminds me of creed vetiver,dominant cedarwood,soft iris,, It has the niche scent,affordable price,well i had 3 bottles from this house,longevity and perfomance 8-9hours on my skin,daytime casual, Overall its really a good affordable niche,with the natural ingredients,wow!10/10

Opens up very sharp cedar and vetiver. The dry down is softer but I still don’t get much iris. A skin scent after a little while. Unisex but leaning masculine.

I wanted to like this one but just couldn't. I love both Iris and cedre but here the combination is just... really weird. I smell camphor, tons of vetiver, cedre... little iris. There's something slightly chemicals (hence the mention to crayon and lipstick, which initially I didn't get). Really not for me.

An odd scent, this one. I bought it a month ago. When I fist tried this in a shop, the scent seemed very light, soft and flowery-powdery. When I sprayed it on my clothes, it was barely noticeable within a few hours. After some days, I sprayed it on my skin. It turned horribly plasticky and stuck for a long time. I had to air the room and take out the clothes I'd sprayed by accident. Now, I'm wearing it again. It's crisp and comforting and down-to earth. It makes me think of blond wood, long walks and quiet snowy days in woods. It's my first woody scent. I'm mostly used to fresh flowery and citrusy ones. Curious to see if this makes me enjoy different types of perfumes. Layered with Brazil Nut perfume of Body Shop, it became a dark chocolate -like scent.

I don’t get much iris either. It’s a nice scent for the cost.. but it’s not your typical iris scent. I’m on the hunt for cold and clean iris scents but this isn’t it, this honestly smells like Christmas. It’s a Christmas scent... that smells like gingerbread.. or a pier 1 imports around Christmas time...cinnamon and gingerbread.

I recieved this as a gift from a dear friend of mine (Fatima). Iris is one of my favorite notes. It reminds me a bet of meharees so soft and cosy i absolutely adore it💜

It should have been named Crayon & Lipstick. I cannot smell anything else. Not a bad scent but way too simplistic.

Loving both Cedar and Iris, I had hoped for a winner. Sadly, the drydown smells like rubber gloves or tires.
