Labdanum & Pur Patchouli

Purchased as part of the 15ml travel set from TK Maxx. I consider it the best from the three and I’m getting TF Patchouli Absolute vibe. Beautiful dry green patchouli with bitter dark chocolate. Thankfully I cannot detect any vanilla sweetness which is often a deal breaker for me when it comes to patchouli-centric fragrances. You get a solid longevity and projection, considering it is all natural. Reminds me also another 100% natural brand - Abel Grey Labdanum - I initially liked that one a lot, it lasts for ages, but there is a phase of certain harshness prior to the drydown that makes it less wearable for me (not mentioning pricetag of 120 EUR for 50ml bottle). I do not have such issue with 100bon and can happily recommend: particularly to fellow men patch lovers as it certainly comes across as sophisticated masculine scent. I own also Molinard Patchouli and they cannot really be compared. Molinard is very earthy and damp (beautiful in its own way), contains detectable fruity note of orange and has distinct vanilla drydown, which is still quite bearable for me, but transfers it more into unisex territory.

Tested in store. I LOVE this too !!! It's amazing (with the dusty patchouli). Unfortunately, it is one of the most offensive smells (compared with A*Men Mugler original and Issey Miyake Wood&Wood) according to the rest of the family. And, I think this one is the best. Oh well ...

I love this! A light, fresh, airy patchouli. I find that most contemporary scents have something grating to my nose- too sweet, sharp and/or synthetic. This one is perfect, and very reasonably priced.

Labdanum & Pur Patchouli is indeed almost pure patchouli on my skin. The patchouli here is green, camphorous with a crisp herbal spiciness, typical of how patchouli essential oil evokes to me. The labdanum along with a bit of tonka bean, brings a subtle ambery warmth in the base, but the star on my skin is without a doubt the herbal spicy patchouli. I got a moderate to soft sillage and a 7-hour longevity. I doubt Labdanum & Pur Patchouli would satisfy die-hard patchouli fans, as it's quite soft, even transparent as a patchouli fragrance. It's also mostly focused on its green camphor facet instead of its dark chocolate aspect. If you happen to be looking for an affordable introduction to patchouli-centric fragrances, Molinard Patchouli is definitely more powerful and more wholesome, but Labdanum & Pur Patchouli might be a more friendly option if you're not very sure how well you can handle patchouli solinote.

I LOVE this !!! Definitely not a pure patchouli on my skin, it has just enough other notes to tone it down so that it doesn't have that "pungent" kick that pure patchouli has. I must admit that I didn't expect to love this, but got it dirt cheap and blind bought a 10ml. Now I'm craving a bigger bottle! Don't get me wrong, this IS mostly patchouly, but I used to have a huge bottle of Florame Patchouli Intense (not in the database here on Fragrantica) and that one is more of a "pure patchouli" if that is what you crave (dirty, dry). 'Patchouli Intense' was too much for me and I ended throwing out the bottle, but I love, love, love 'Labdanum & Pur Patchouli' This has a warm edge to it that softens the usual sharpness of patchouli. I guess thats the labdanum working it's magic. On my skin I find this perfume suitable for just about any occasion The sillage and longevity is great for an all natural perfume

Tried it on at a shop and it is a very clean and earthy scent. First time I would call a patchouli scent "crisp" but it's probably the ozonic notes in it. Gives me the feeling of stepping outside a wash in a exotic waterfall! Medium silage first 4-6 hours and then skin scent for over 25 hours. It's a "like" but won't buy because I have a similar essential oil I use in my bathtub.

I was pretty dissatisfied with this house but at last, this one is nice! A simple patchouli that make me feel like I am 16 again. I highly recommend it for anybody looking for a natural patchouli that goes further than just essential oil but don't want to pay too much. Light enough to wear year round, longevity is consistent with natural perfumes.

1) starts off earthy in a soily, dank, damp way. 2) The patchouli is definitely prominent, and comes to the front and the dank, cave smell subsides after about an hour 3) vetiver is 3rd 4) a small touch of sweetness in the backround This is a first impression. if you've ever smelled Bat by Zoologist (i think its this house that makes Bat), in the 1st hour this reminds me of that dark, wet earthy cave vibe i get from that. Bat is a tad more challenging, dirty and Gothic. After an hour the 100 Bon Patch its mostly patchouli, and moderate vetiver which is fine because i love patchouli. This 100 Bon patchouli fragrance is linear, non complex, very natural smelling patchouli. you have to be a fan of earthy patchouli dominant fragrances. if so you will probably like this.

Smells identical to patchouli essential oil to my nose.

Dry dusty patchouli at its best. Has a lovely dark ozonic quality to it too. Supposedly all natural materials. This is a spot on patchouli frag that doesn't smell 'dirty' or hippie-ish. It smells quite sophisticated. Very good. Moderate sillage and longevity. Quite a light fragrance.

3 in a box from tk maxx. This one starts out like whisky on my skin. Then disappeared in minutes only to resurface as a gentle patchouli, which I rather like.

This is JOVOY Psychedelique all day , all night .. when I first tried it , couldn’t believe how identical these two are

Light, bright with a bargain blast of patchouli ... what's not to like?
