Ode for Him

While in Grasse a couple years back, stopped into the 1000 Flowers shop and bought another bottle of this gem as it now came with a regular atomizer and not the bulb atomizer (which I wasn't at all fond of). I do love this fragrance as it really is very unique and enjoyable. For some reason, this fragrance reminds me of Earl Grey &/or the color grey (meant as a compliment in the best possible way to the color grey!). The perfumeur at 1000 Flowers is obviously very talented and has impeccable taste as she has some outstanding fragrances in her collection. Thanks so very much 1000 Flowers for developing this outstanding creation -- it's one of my all-time faves for early fall or early spring.

I, too, have the same bulb atomizer that chridela is undoubtedly referring to and like him, my bottle is half empty after having been used maybe 4-5 times. A bit of a rip-off -- I totally agree with chridela. The fragrance itself is quite fantastic but it apparently evaporates into thin air at a rate unseen in any of the 200+ bottles I have in my collection. Hopefully 1000 Flowers will use a regular atomizer in future as the bulb atomizer is definitely different but sadly for a very negative reason.

I can't add anything to sweet piglet of smoke's excellent review except to say that the Rose note in this is gorgeous and I have been known to steal from my husband's bottle! ; )

My Sunday fragrance, a great blend of notes that is like nothing else I own. For me the immortelle leads the way but is underpinned very well by the coriander and vetiver. It is quite sour smelling, maybe with a touch of sweetness to balance things out I would wear it on Wednesdays as well....but that could just be crazy talk (?)

I have owned this for about a year and a half and have worn it twice. I went to wear it yesterday and there was not a drop left! I know that juice packaged with this type of atomizer is prone to quick evaporation but seriously! I will not buy again. Feel a bit ripped off. (I am referring to the bulb atomizer)
