Julia

Not sure how to describe it well but here’s my take on Julia.. sweet on the surface but there is an air of depth and mystery within her yet to be reveal.. like that rush of raspberry note on the surface.. but than it all comes to a halt when the dry down slowly unfolds.. than it’s violet.. powdery and aloof but beautiful and ephemeral like the sunlight bursting through the half open window in an elegant Paris apartment

The opening of raspberry is provokingly sweet, at one point I’m almost angry. Probably because the rest of the collection is solid and poetic and Julia isn’t at all. The floral notes and powderyness makes me think of this as the one scent the popular girl I would never befriend would wear - Julia’s like the Barbie Doll I never had. I tell myself I probably didn’t want all of that anyway, but then comes Julia slapping me in the face telling me that now I can have it. And what surprises me is that I want it. Every drop of it. Even more so as the jasmine and vanilla settles in. A brutal bliss.
