Malmaison

I got this for a summer scent since I love black currant and unisex frags, but I’m currently testing in January. Not the best temp to get a good feel for it. The reviews on this are great, I just don’t know if it’s a 100% winner with my skin I get a sharp note, almost like citrus coming through right away. It reminds me of a green mandarin. Very fresh/refreshing. Very light and transparent. I only get a couple inches of projection. I really have to get super close to smell it It smells fresh, citrusy, green and a little earthy in the background from the vetiver. Very simplistic but nice. Also very linear (which is expected with only a few notes). I’m not exactly picking up black currant, maybe I’m getting a little rose softening it up, and a little vetiver but not much. I’m also not really getting any musk. Just something that reminds me of a green citrus Longevity also seems to be very short lived. It goes from a few inches of projection to a skin scent on me in about 30 min. I will say it does smell nice, but not what I was expecting. Maybe I got a bad bottle, because all the other reviews sound amazing. I’ll keep on testing. Edit 5/7/25: This to me is very feminine and I enjoy unisex scents a lot. I only pick up citrus and earthy leafy black currant. It smells good, but not enough character for me unfortunately. Would probably smell nice on a girl
