Absolute Mahogany Spirits

***Update one year after purchase*** So I ALWAYS give updates after some time has passed for my frag-reviews bc "Maturation" is MOST DEFINATELY a thing! When Id purchased Absolute Mahogony Spirits I LOVED the smell which truley did remind me of the sadly discontinued Hanea Mori's - HiM edp, but was ultimately dissapointed bc that gorgeous opening would fade within and hour or so and the creamy/woody base would become VEEERY close to the skin which was a total bummer! I would need to spray a bunch on so I could get any longevity out of this bc again, it would become a skin-scent within the hour once the top notes faded, but it was tricky bc the projection was quite good for that first hour or so and I didn'twanna be "That guy" who chokes ppl out. Well, it unfortunately took a pretty long time with Absolute Mahogony Spirits, but after nearly a year since introducing air into my bottle, Maturation fixed the problem 100%. The opening now lasts for the entire wear which is a solid 7 to 8 hours on skin, but DAYS on clothes with a good 2 hours of solid projection which then becomes a very nice scent bubble for another 4 to 5 hours becoming a skin-scent by the 7th hour. Id actually worn Absolute MS the other day since not having worn it for several months, did 4 spritzes that morning (2 on my neck, 2 on my shirt) at around 9 am, came back home about 4 hours later and as soon as Id walked in the door, my moms nurse/assistant complimented me on my scent. I told her "Wow, you can still smell it clearly? I was about to do a couple more spritzes." She said "Oh YES! Its quite noticable and smells great as it is right now." And yeah, I was catching faint whiffs of my scent, but I had obviously gone partially nose-blind to it. All this to say that yeah, it is true that the longevity is quite sub-par initially, but with some patience the longevity and over-all scent improves A LOT and Absolute Mahogony Spirits is totally worth the wait especially if you're a collector like me and dont wear any one fragrance very often. Absolute Mahogony Spirits is gorgeous Mild/Citrus, woody/creamy, slightly spicey signature scent worthy fragrance with good projection and with time great longevity! Finally got it today! I'm lucky to know it's finally here on Fragrantica. I got the body wash last Christmas from a coworker and didn't pay much attention to it until I finally used it a few weeks ago. Man, I fell in love with it on the first try. I thought to myself, "I wish I could find a cologne that smells like this." Out of curiosity, I learned that 18.21 is actually a brand that makes colognes, too. I visited a shop and finally snagged this hidden gem! What drove me to buy it is that specific woody note that reminds me of my childhood. On some websites, they say it's cassia; other sites say cashew bark. Well, whatever it is... I agree with cashew bark. It's not listed here on Fragrantica, but that's exactly what I was looking for. I grew up in a tropical country, and having cashew trees in our backyard back then makes this scent pure nostalgia for me. Who would have thought that the smell of cashew bark could be encapsulated in this handsome bottle... love the scent. I hope some of you will try it too.

Nice one for a summer mediterranean climate. it lacks a little bit of deepness in my opinion, and does not last long, but still an easy reach in any occasion, from very casual to work environment.
