Invisible Post

You go out on your balcony with friends for the first day of spring break. You take a seat in your chair as you look out over the ocean, the fig cocktail you have is incredibly juicy and creamy and the slush melts in your mouth. The smell of the palm trees leaves swaying in the wind and the dry cedar mulch that the condo you rented puts out as grounds keeping. The sun in the late evening because of your long drive begins to finally set. The cocktails keep flowing as the taste gets sweeter and sweeter, never anything beyond natural: like a really fresh fig cocktail. The party flowing until you don't know when. Booking it outside to the beach, up to the biggest mischief. You bring a blanket, guitar, and move the party outside. A magical night as more and more people join to dance the night away with you, and a hell of a way to start vacation. 19-69 is one of those houses for me that has so many beautiful and modern fragrances. This goes from a green sweet and slightly tart fig, slowly sweetening up but forming a cedar and androgynous florals. This creamy fig has a slow transition from the tart to the sweet and I honestly love it. Moderate Projection and Performance, arguably longer last than most fig fragrances on clothes. Completely unisex, and a compliment magnet under high heat or summer's night. On the comparison to "Debaser" by D.S. & Durga, as I own it. The only similarity here is the general theme that is a creamy fig. Debaser's fig is more of the byproduct of the major coconut note, and it also goes in a much more fresh/soap like direction than this does. This on the other hand has its cream come from sandalwood, which dries down creamy sure but with a bit more deepness or woodsy smell to it. This woodsy bit pairs really well with the dry cedar as a backbone to give this a lot of depth. I can get the relation to the opening of each but like the first 10-20 seconds opening. Try both! I like creamy fig stuff and love both, but since I own debaser I don't need this, but having smelled this again I only slightly wish I had this as 19-69 seems to be going through a weird rebrand? I have no clue, but that's my best guess as there is next to nothing about what's going on their main website. Regardless, an amazing scent to get lost in.

This is immediately green fruity when first sprayed. It transitions to slightly sweet, juicy fig as it dries down. During the stage, I get a lot more of the black currant than I would have expected. If it stayed like this, this would not be my jam. However immediately after dry down the palm and petitgrain come out and make this much greener and much fresher. At this point, it is a beautiful, almost grassy fig - in the same ballpark as Ichnusa and Noble Fig - which I adore. I would say this fragrance has more of a citrus note and is *very* slightly more sweet than Ichnusa. I love palm, as a note in general. This has a bit of the freshness of my favorite palm fragrance, Mémoires d'une Palmeraie 02. To be clear, I am not into fruity scents or sweet scents, usually. But fig scents get a pass with me 98% of the time because of their creamy nature and how well they go with fresh, green aspects. Surprisingly, I find this to be beautifully intense and lasting, better than Ichnusa or Noble Fig, which need reapplication. Ichnusa is my favorite fig, period; but it doesn't last long. This fragrance is strong for hours, and eventually fades to a warm, slightly figgy, skin scent. Sillage is medium, so not unnoticeable but also not gassing out your workplace. This is one of those big scents that I think could appeal to a wide variety of fragrance sensibilities. Folks who like fresh fruit notes would definitely get that from the fig, and folks who like a green, citrusy scent may also enjoy this. Notably, there's no coconut note in this, which is a welcome change from the plethora of fragrances that seem to follow in the steps of Philosykos. However, the sandalwood and other base notes give a bit of a creamy, woody experience that is far superior to any coconut aspect, in my opinion. I'm becoming a big fan of the 19-69 house... they truly have some amazing offerings

Invisible Post is one of those fragrances that feels effortless but still distinctive. Performance is moderate (around 3/4 hours), and it wears close to the skin, which actually fits the concept: “invisible,” but present enough to be noticed up close. Overall, it’s a great everyday fragrance, easy to wear, modern, and quietly addictive, and one of those fig fragances that I love

The minute I tried this on I felt carried away, like a soft wind was blowing in and around me. It brought back the memory of driving through laurel canyon with my mother in her convertible, listening to old folk music, the warmth of the los angeles sun on me, the santa ana winds gentle but their presence unmistakable, staring at my own face in the side view mirror and feeling like I was being taken through a trip to a sort of heaven. There is a lightness to this scent, and I think if you enjoy green notes, realistic green notes you would enjoy this. The first five minutes remain incredible but the dry down leaves a bit to be desired. Hard to capture that fleeting sensation and mantain it. This one, despite having no similar notes, reminds me a lot of creed VIW.... just the feeling they evoke I suppose. Definitely a perfume for a california girl, or someone who is at heart a california girl <3

I’ve sampled this from Ministry of Scent, and I must say I’m addicted!!! It’s very fresh, clean, and perfect for springtime, imo. The Green Fig and Tangerine really come alive here in the top notes. The middle notes, Palm Leaf, Black Currant, and in particular, the Cyclamen, are are also a nice addition while it ends with Sandalwood, Viginian Cedarwood, and Tonka Beans in the base. It is honestly SO lovely, refreshing, uplifting, and has great projection and longevity. I can see myself wearing this everyday while working from home, running errands, etc.

Just bought this after falling in love with it at a shop. Do you like plant nurseries, that wet, verdant smell of new life, punctuated by the occasional exotic fruit blossom? That's what this makes me think of. It's juicy like melon or litchi, fresh like peeling a tangerine, sweet like fig, and GREEN. Very unusual, naturalistic and gorgeous. I love it. Don't think the longevity is amazing, maybe 5 hours. Not sure about the sillage but I think this one probably needs a few extra sprays!

I don’t like fig, but I absolutely adore this. It’s very very green and a little bit sharp to start, on my skin it needs warm weather to shine (in the winter that sharpness can read a little bitter). For me it’s nothing like any of the other fig forward fragrances out there - it’s not sweet or jammy or cloying - and it’s let down only by the longevity. I tend to spray a little every couple of hours so I can enjoy the opening notes over and over again.

There is a note. Its one of those ingredients that either you do well with or its problematic. Not a blind buy because of it. Otherwise this is a beautiful perfume! Unique and interesting, green and fresh but maybe even more so for a frag head then someone that just wants the typical perfume. As the comment a couple down points out, the challenging note dosen't last but its around the opening. I like it enough to keep it.

Fresh, green, juicy fig! Top notes linger for a while, too, instead of dissipating immediately. Compared to Philosykos this is less milky, with no coconut note, with a brighter sweetness that is not at all cloying or sugary. Dries down on me to a sweet woodsy base. Nice during the summer.

This is my perfume staple. I bought this bc it was similar to Debaser, both green and figgy. This is sharper and less creamy. Leans slightly feminine but my boyfriend, and I share the bottle. I find it nice as a winter fragrance too, despite it being super “fresh.”

Used up a tester of this one recently and all I can think is "I need more". Probably my favorite fig fragrance I've tried yet. The tonka pairs so well with this, almost feels like freshly whipped vanilla cream on a fig tart. It's gorgeous.

Unbelievably fresh and green. This smells exactly like a nectarine tree. I'm not sure this is my style but I'm impressed with the realism of this. It's linear but hyper realistic.

Sweet, very approachable fig that doesn't get "sweaty" smelling. No sharpness, some juiciness, lots of sweetness. It has some very pretty, very nice elements, but performance (fading in less than 30 mins) and originality is lacking. First spray has lots of sweet, warm fig. It's realistic but not photorealistic. Think grocery store, more generic-tasting figs. Sweet, got some figginess in the skin, and generally smells *good*. Theres a slightly grainy/cereal-y, bran or barley smelling note here too. After the first spray dries down, a beautiful warm, chewy mid-tone comes through. The body of black currant, a touch of gentle citrus from cyclamen, and warmth from tonka. Gone very quickly though. The sweet, gentle tangerine persists throughout if you sniff deeply, just around the edges. I don't get too much sandalwood or cedar. This feels very light, airy and warm. Doensn't have a big body or backbone. Maybe if you were short on time and wanted to experience a flash runthrough (<1hr) of fragrance opening and drydowns, you'd enjoy this.

I adore this. I prefer scents that are green and fresh without leaning too sweet or too vegetal. This one, while fairly fruity, stays perfectly in that ideal range for me. The dominant note I get is blackcurrant, but currant supported by green leaves and grasses. It reminds me of tomato leaves, it becomes so vegetal. It almost starts to smell a little dank or sweaty, in a good way. It's intoxicating, and I keep smelling my wrists to get more of it... ...because this is a faint, short-lasting affair. Maybe it's because I'm using a sample, but I noticed very little projection, and that heady leafy-curranty smell nearly disappears after thirty minutes or so. What's left is a vague sweetness with just a hint of the earlier joyous green. I'd like to try buying a larger size of this and spraying more liberally, because if I can get the opening notes to stick around and project a bit more, it would be the perfect scent for me.

Wow that opening! JUICY fruits - fresh realistic figs, a touch of citrus and a slight green bitterness. The vegetal aspect of the palm leaf comes through quickly, transforming this from a kiddy fruity fragrance to grown up and interesting. This is quite a predominantly vegetal green and woody fragrance. The fruit persists to pull this out of a straight up green/wood classification but I do find the fig gets tiresome. When I first got into perfumes I fell head over heels for fig notes and tested everything to the point of exhaustion. My favourite being Debaser which I thought I would love forever, but got tired of it within a few uses. I feel like I might find the same with this one. Also, to be clear, this is hardly comparable to Debaser as other reviews have mentioned. The fig is the only common part.

This is the most surprising of the 24 fig fragrances I’ve tried over the last couple of years. It’s extremely fig-forward, but the profile is very vegetal (due to the palm leaf note), and very creamy (tonka bean), at the same time. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a fragrance that was simultaneously vegetal and creamy before. Mancera Pearl is similarly vegetal, but in a direct comparison, much more floral, sweet, and soapy. I also did a direct comparison with Debaser, and as other reviewers have said, the only similarity is that they’re both creamy fig fragrances. I don’t really get the upvotes in the “reminds me of” section as they smell nothing alike.

So much greener than expected! I get unripened fig, & a chopped palm frond to start. Slightly sweeter (black current/Tonka) & then a very subtle citrus/black current/floral as it fades. Only hints of cedar here & there, but I really have to sniff. Interesting, definitely not like anything else I’ve smelled recently, but I wouldn’t wear it daily. I’d say warm weather fragrance, however the heat brought out a bit of a funky, earthy musk (only lasted 10 mins or so). Not much projection, & longevity is around 4 hours on my skin

It is very green and vegetal. I don't think it smells very fruity unless we're talking about fruits that some people argue as being vegetables. I didn't like it at first but its slowly growing on me, it works well for this hot muggy weather we've been having in my city. I'm gonna have to test it further before I can come to a solid conclusion on how I feel

Smells like a clean bathroom. Something a little green and definitely a little woody. Like a feminine pine scent with a bit of fruity thrown in there. I like this for Christmas. Maybe something aquatic too? Bell peppers??? Does it...does it smell like bell peppers? Very interesting scent but I wouldn't buy it for myself.

One of my favourites (so far) from this brand. It's a clean fruity smell but spray too much (I mean around 6 sprays) and you'll smell like cleaning products so this in my opinion would last you a while

Super green & fizzy, almost grass-like to me. Not my favorite fig, but would be great for summer, and my husband loved it (he thought it smelled like citrusy-hops).

I rather smell a tomato leaf than a fig.

I initially liked Invisible Post, a fig forward, watery green scent. But then Invisible Post turned visibly soapy, and I couldn’t get that association out of my brain. The soap clean association stayed that way until a few hours later when I noticed everything about this scent vanished. Kaput. I could not pick up any remains. I’m on the fence. I have been a Fig Freak since I first smelled L'Artisan’s Premier Figuier in the late 1990s. I appreciate that 19-69 is trying to do a twist in the fig genre, but the scent behaves badly on my skin. One thing I do appreciate is that the discovery set has 2.5ml spray vials. A great size which means I can try this again. If my middle of the road review changes, I’ll report back.

I love the opening of this. Green, fig, light and bright. Fruity in a perfectly lovely way, not like girlish scents that overdose on sugary fruitiness. It's gorgeous... for the five minutes that lasts. Pretty quickly, that beautiful green, fruity opening fades and I am left with something a little white musk/fuzzy and slightly waxy. Quite dull. Like clean laundry where you can just smell the fabric softener. It's not bad, but it's nothing compared to that perfect opening. Even that fades to nothing but the closest skin scent within an hour or so. I wish there was a way to bottle that opening and keep it forever. 5.5/10.

I'm torn over Invisible Post. I don't like really green fragrances that smell like grass, and the opening of IP is just that, with a slight hint of citrus to try to take some of the edge off that greenness. That much I don't like. It's the smell of cut plant stems, like parsley. In moments, the fig and citrus come out and it smells good. I can see how Invisible Post would smell good and distinctive on the right person. But that person isn't me -- too green for me.

i purchased this by mistake meaning to get the gateless gate. i'm getting a lot of carbon and sprite in the top notes, grits in the base. almost no detectable fig despite what other reviewers say, though i am almost overpowered by the palm leaf, like i'm a hornet being smoked out of its nest with leaf. i am not being compensated for this review.

Vegetable type of green: very strong and somewhat chemical. The sweetest is present too but it’s kinda on its own, not balancing the “poison ivy” scent at all. Not horrible, but not great either.. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

like a more vegetal version of Debaser, but the vegetalness is like greens you bought and forgot about in the fridge... they look fine but smell a little "off" and you can't tell by looking that they've gone bad?? it's like the appearance of fresh leafy greens that don't smell all that fresh upon further inspection. it's like this funky hint of a thick, slightly sour staleness. or maybe like Debaser with the greenness turned up and the creaminess leaning more towards milk in the earliest stages of sourness where you have to ask someone else for a second opinion on whether they think it's gone bad. it's not awful? just ever so slightly funky. there's also something artificial about it that reminds me of the plasticky note i get from Philosykos. the funk seems to fade as it dries down, but it's hard to tell because the scent in general fades quickly. once again, Debaser reigns supreme

#1348 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I don't always mind a scent being a bit more fruity. In combination with grassy greens and florals it can be fresh and crisp, instead of sweet and cloying. And at first whiff I thought I was going to like this. But the dry down gets soapy and sour, something I've learned is common with perfumes employing synthetic cyclamen, only used in a few fragrances I've tried like Lataffa "Breeze", YSL "Kouros Cologne" and Moschino "Uomo?" They all had the same repellant soapy sourness and went in the dumpster. I have other 19-69 scents: "Capri", "Miami Blue", "Christopher Street", "June 28", "Kasbah", "La Habana." So I'm predisposed to be generous with their work, but this just isn't good. Not something I would wear or want to smell on a girlfriend.

Opens very fresh and has a mild tartness to it that I really enjoy, just a hint of sweetness. Sadly, it doesn't last too long like most citruses. The heart gave me increasingly sweet notes but the dry-down just smelled like soapy white musk. (The soapiness was there from the beginning, but it is hidden very well through the citruses and sweets) I can slightly smell some woods in it, but it's barely there for me most of the time. As much as I like the opening notes of this, the sweetness in the heart is just a bit too much for my taste and the ending soapiness can make me nauseous after a while. Very clean and unisex all around.

I was excited for this perfume because it smelled amazing on the scent card. Very fruit-forward, citrus and fig. Totally different on the skin. The fig is front and center and becomes very green. It does smell nice but it’s reminiscent of fig leaves and too green/aromatic for me. Think less fresh than Philosykos by Diptyque and also less sweet than Alluring Fig by Theodoros Kalotinis but also something all its own. Worth sampling if you like fig scents. I am very picky about figs. I think this could be an interesting choice for a guy, since the plant quality makes the fruitiness of this more muted and less feminine.

Swing and a miss from 19-69. I was looking forward to this as I'm a huge fan of their scent Kasbah. Like Kasbah, this one does not really smell much like the aesthetic they're going for, but unfortunately unlike Kasbah this one just doesn't smell great. I don't get any fruit from it, and the woody base is barely present. This is a very green scent, like if you were to crush up mountain laurel leaves in a mortar+pestle. Not an unpleasant smell, just not particularly reminiscent of hippy culture, nor is it interesting or deep (at least on my skin).

when this is first sprayed, to me , it smells like a cut bell pepper followed by an extremely overpowering sandalwood. it radiates that grassy first note but this fragrance makes me nauseous. i can see how that is actually fig but it smells extremely vegetably with a strong woody base. ill be giving this to my partner , i could not get away with this but maybe itll suit someone masculine more

I really liked this when I first sprayed it on my skin. But it quickly turned into something that reminded me of men’s deodorant on the verve of quitting time. I wish it would’ve stayed near the top notes.

All I get here is bell peppers, which is super unfortunate given that the pyramid looked promising.

there’s something very sharp about the opening, and a burst of minty menthol coolness - i didn’t realize blackcurrant had that effect! genuinely makes my nose tingle in a bad way. smells sour and almost weedy to me as it dries, just really offputting to my nose. i get a bit more of the fruity fig note on clothing but this doesn’t hold a candle to my favorite fig scents. after about an hour i got a headache and have decided blackcurrant isn’t for me because it went into full cat pee territory :(

Exactly what they wrote in the perfume pyramid. Start with: Figue with appropriately creamy and sweet, like a fresh and juicy figue you pick in a market; Petitgrain provide green and a little bitterness; Tangerine is not so obvious, but acts as a transition between the two scents mentioned above. Middle notes are another combination of fruit and leaves: palm leaves + black currant, similar to the opening but with more sweet and berry sense, a little bit more creamy on green side, and less bitterness. My friends like it when it was on me. It is noticable and not bothering. To me it is a good choice of green notes when you want some fruity and a little creamy sweetness inside the green. It will be more intimate than pure green. ------ 就像香调表里写的一样。 开初是奶味和甜度适当的无花果,新鲜饱满的感觉。苦橙叶提供绿意和一些苦味,柑橘味道不明显但起到过度两者的作用。就像甜点配茶一样是互相配合的效果。 中调是另一个水果和绿叶的组合,比起开头来说浆果甜味更明显,少了苦橙叶的苦,在绿叶那边还多了一点palm leaves的有点奶的香味(但和无花果的奶不同) 上身之后收到过好评。这是一个在身上明显存在但也不会打扰到别人的香水。 对我来说是想要一点水果的甜味和奶味的时候在绿叶调里的选择,适合想喷绿叶调但想要更容易亲近一点的时候。

I purchased a sample of this at the start of my journey with fragrance. I was NOT into this upon first application. Fig was a profile I had to smell in several iterations until it made sense. Though I don’t think BDK’s Gris Charnel is very heavy on the fig, it made me reach back to my sample of Invisible Post. The notion of a “green” fig didn't make sense to me until I tried something from Diptyque’s line but wow - what a stunning note when it’s truly green. It’s other worldly! All of this is to say - Invisible Post’s opening really delivers on the green fig. It’s so fresh, and clean. The petit grain and palm are very interesting pairs to the fig. As my mind opens and I begin to understand more profiles, I find this frag to be really wonderful. It’s only downside for me is that once the green fades, it starts to smell like a stale soap on my skin.

As the name suggests, it's more suitable for summer, and easy relaxed occasions. 7/10

I was expecting something magical and it is pretty but I had two issues with this perfume which meant sadly I had to return it. First of all, it is lovely fresh and green smelling, to my nose quite soft, except for one of the notes which struck me as rather unrefined vegetal. Not like cut grass but something I couldn’t put my finger on, like maybe parsley stocks or just something that I don’t want to smell like ;). After this faded on my skin this dried down to a very very subtle slightly headachy vanilla fragrance. I would say try it, I can see this being lovely on someone, just not me.

This is not something I would normally buy, but I got it in a discovery set, and it surprised me in such a pleasant way. Very green. It immediately reminded me of flower stems. This was one of my first encounters with a fig scent, and I was worried it would be too sweet, but it was very light and fresh. It also leans more masculine, which I personally enjoy. It's unique without being intrusive or offputting.

A super green, lush, tropical fig. Juicy, fresh, milky, a little like Vele / pearl from mancera but without the mango or florals. Not sweet, just a touch. I do get a bit of coconut but may just be the palm leaf and tropical nature. Great one for summer! Going on my best of greens / tropicals list.

This is so good! Picked up a travel seize at marshal for 13.99$(insane right?!). The opening is a very juicy and green. The notes are truly what you get. The dry down is a soft musk, kinda smell like warm dryer sheets? Very interesting, I love it.

Very green and juicy on the tester and loved how it developed. On me still green, but more mossy, woody, and soft soil. I smelled as though I'd been outside gardening. Not for me, wish it smelled more like the initial spray on paper.

I think my next purchase if there's a travel size. I think this complements me more than philosykos (which can lean kind of airy and ephemeral) but this is lasting several hours and has a greener note i really like

This is a love! The combo of Petitgrain and Fig is fresh and delicious. I wish the sillage was a little more wafty but still a fun frag. Gonna put in to my maybe FB pile!
