Princess Jasmine wore this perfume, and you can’t convince me otherwise. This perfume is BEAUTIFUL! However, it’s strong, so beware. It gives a similar ode to Lush fragrances. I say that to guide you in the general direction of this scent family. Smokey, green, lush, amber, incense. Smells similar to the type of fragrances Lush creates. Back to 1969. I love this perfume so much. It reminds me of Marrakesh. It smells like passing through the perfume bazaars. You get a whiff of spices, honey, incense, and deep fragrances. It smells like a princess, literally. This perfume is beautiful. It didn’t work for me, as I’m interested in gourmands, but I did gift this to my mother and she loves it. I love catching a whiff of it, too! This perfume is smokey, profound, honey, incense, anise, and spicy. Not too sure of the notes listed, but those are the notes that immediately come to mind. It’s definitely a profound fragrance. You need to sit with it for a while. You need to take the time to analyze it. It’s seriously a gorgeous scent, but it isn’t for the faint of heart. Do not recommend this to the gourmand or floral girlies. If you’re into Angel, Baccarat, or Kayali fragrances, I’d say you make like this. It smells like a woman with gorgeous, long black hair. She wears a lot of gold jewelry. She is wealthy. She has tan skin and gorgeous, captivating brown eyes. She partakes in fencing or equestrian sports. She’s a badass, but is still so feminine. Those are the vibes I get from 1969. Love her.

wow, wow, wow. I love this scent. It starts off with that pop of patchouli and orange, with that beautiful honey lingering in the background. As it wears it becomes beautifully sweet and sophisticated, with the honey and amber taking center stage, giving it a deliciously warm and sophisticated scent. Im not a sweet gourmand fan, but this has the right balance to me, to be able to pull off such a strong honey note. A great scent for day to night wear, as I think it fades in a gorgeous way and wears for an impressive amount of time. This has become my special occasion fragrance, whenever I want give off a sweeter sexier vibe. Its such a nice mix, but I will say, it smells a lot like Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. I think the orange and sandalwood punch through and it give it its own unique quality, but it's not the most groundbreaking scent. If you like Tobacco Vanille, you will love this, so buy from the niche house instead ;) This scent is the woman who walks into the jazz bar alone on a Sunday night, wearing an outfit of all vintage pieces. She sitting at the bar drinking whiskey own the rocks and reading a book you've never heard of, just enjoying the music. You want to know her, but she is just happy to sit and read her book alone. You can smell her from across the room when she gets up, puts on her brown leather trench coat, and slips out the door. And damn, she smells good.

At first sniff, I expected this was going to be too heavy and masculine on me, as often happens with intended unisex scents. The wood was most noticeable as was a little patchouli, it was overall a bit dark, before softening way up on my skin. It became fairly incense-y after a few minutes, then gaining a spicy root beer quality once it had fully dried down. What started as a "no" became a big "yes" after a little bit of a time. Typically I'm one who can tell out of a sample vial whether a scent will work for me so this was a pleasant surprise. I'm a huge fan of the honey gourmand genre but that is not how I would describe this at all. Instead it is just coexisting in the blend; what ultimately becomes a lightly spicy oriental. I find the the vanilla more noticeable as it is of the candle blown out of a birthday cake variety, with a smokiness in its own right. There's a touch of sweetness, but really it's just right, without ever getting too heavy. I do get some bar vibes from Kasbah, like this would be great to wear on a night out that is going to get just a little rowdy. Despite my appreciation for it not going too masculine, I think it's totally socially appropriate for either sex. Performance feels average and hasn't bothered me at all.

#1329 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a great scent. Well balanced, unisex, inoffensive, attractive, versatile, good quality. Don't know how you improve on this composition, so I have to say it is very underrated here. My favorite thing about this is how distinctive the lime note is and how the honey keeps it from being shrill and dry. I don't know why the marketing guys associated this with Mick Jagger and the sixties and seventies, unless they're trying to appeal to grandma and grandpa, who mostly won't pay this kind of money for a scent. Seems counter-intuitive and a real stretch to me. I was there, singing and playing guitar in roadhouse rock bands, Rolling Stone tunes in every set, and the only scents I associate with those days are the scent of spilled beer, Boone's Farm wines and cannabis. But I digress. I love this scent, as it reminds me of one I loved that I'd completely forgotten, 4160 Tuesdays "Eau My Soul." This one's definitely going on the "to be acquired list." Update: Found a bottle for $138 and ordered it.

A little weird, but I like it a lot. For the first 30 seconds it is alcoholic, anise-y, minty, like a fancy mouthwash. Then it immediately warms into sugar with a little patchouli. I get cloves too. Then, amber, wood come through on top. It is warm, sweet, very powdery and dusty, and a little herbal all the way to the dry down, where the vanilla and the wood really stand out. Some days the honey is the most noticeable note, other days it's barely there. I haven't picked up on any citrus yet. I'm kind of surprised it's unisex because it seems so feminine on me. Excellent longevity but minimal projection and sillage. Definitely recommend! Edit: a few weeks later, safe to upgrade this to a "love." I'm able to pick out the citrus now, but the honey, vanilla and amber are really the stars here. It goes great with gingerbread – I like to wear it over a scented lotion.

This is an amazing honey/woodsy scent. When you first spray this it hits you over the head with the honey, sandalwood, and vanilla. It's a very comforting scent, and super distinguished. I've worn this with a suit or nice sweater a few times this year and I have gotten many compliments on it. As it dries down the honey starts to mesh with the amber to make the who thing very creamy, it then takes on more of a leathery/woody forward scent with a nice cut of lime for a second every time you smell it. Unlike most 19-69 fragrances, this one stay on your clothes and skin a super long time. Granted, after about hour 4-6 it becomes a very intimate scent but it's an amazing truly unisex mix between gourmand and woodsy, even when I typically dislike gourmand scents. One of my go to scents during the winter/fall.

My signature scent for soo many reasons. It seems to encapsulate the perfect Mediterranean summer evening. Strolling around the streets of Santorini at dusk, sipping on a cocktail on a rooftop terrace bar in Sicily watching the sun go down. Roaming the spice markets of Marrakesh. It’s by far my most complimented fragrance. The longevity is pretty much eternal (4 to 5 days on clothing) which I don’t mind as it keeps its original warm spiced smell without turning stale or unpleasant. It’s such a well rounded scent with just enough hint of orange to stop it being cloying. it’s not a gourmand by any means even with the honey note but a sophisticated well blended gem of a fragrance.

Tested this out today and it's magnificent. I was immediately transported to what felt like what I'd imagine a vintage hookah den in Morocco would smell like while you're eating honey. Weird description I know, but this feels great to wear. The opening is amazing and the drydown is even better. It retains the high quality hookah smell and honey and gets spicy on my skin. Exotic middle eastern/North Africa vibes but not to the point where you smell like ethnic food. This gives me Amouage Jubilation XXV vibes but much less middle eastern spice market feeling. Performance was outstanding. Highly recommend. Scent 9/10 Performance 9/10

Kasbah was one of the first niche fragrances I tested last year. It was one of those where you just know you're going to love it. Other honey scents I've tried are too thick and sticky for my liking but Kasbah has the perfect touch of honeyed sweetness. The lime opening gives a bright juiciness before fading into amber woods. I don't notice much leather on my skin and the patchouli grounds the fragrance. I can absolutely see this being cloying or too heavy so go easy on the trigger. I've not tried anything else that comes close to this and I also kind of love no one really mentions this house although it's now sold at Sephora.

Reminds me of: Imperial Oppaponax by Les Nereides. The main accords listed are spot on. I get the oriental, far away Arabian Nights- vibe when trying this one. If I had to sum it up in words: sweet amber honeyed woods. Not cloying, gourmand sweet, but mellow sweet like a piece of fragrant wood that has been soaked in a spicy honey and left out to dry over soft heat. Tonka bean, guaiac and other woods show up in the drawdown. MMMM Good! Can project exponentially according to how much is applied. Long lasting.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kasbah. I'm on my 3rd bottle. It's such a delicious amber - opens with a root beer /cola ish flavor (coke smell is orange, lime, spices) sweet but not overly gourmand. More spicy to me than Tonka Cola but not dissimilar. The dry down to me is simply amazing. Woody and less sweet - I love how the honey is toned down and guiac wood just shines on with the leather. I personally don't get the geranium. Totally unisex. Leans more colder weather. 9 5/10 wish it lasted a bit longer

Heady as hell! Smells like I mixed Karma by Lush and Lauren Cayon by Thin Wild Mercury, which I’ve done. Citrusy diet cola opening with some sharp spice. Dries down beautifully on me and lasts overnight- for reference I’m a redhead and fragrances rarely last on me. It’s a little head shop-y after a few hours but that’s the intention, I feel. Smells like expensive nostalgia. Buy this if you’re looking for Karma but stronger. Your boyfriend will probably steal this from you

This smells like if Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab’s Snake Oil got a job as a digital marketer but never abandoned its roots as a cool, down to earth hippie who gives great hugs. This fragrance has the most dramatic transformation of any I’ve tried. Blast of patchouli for the first five minutes which quickly mellows down to a warm and wearable spicy sweet scent. Fades to an aromatic aura I can’t quite identify, almost like the citrus is a base note somehow.

I'm obsessed with this. I just pulled the trigger on a FB because I would go out of my way to sample it at stores. This is my white honey dream. In the dry down it is a sexy creamy forest situation. I cannot recommend this enough. I would say the realisticness of the honey makes it significantly different from those on the "voted similar" list and I've never smelt something else like it.

So so impressed with the 19-69 line as the entire line is fantastic, not a loser in the bunch...but this one may be my favorite and is so FB worthy, especially if you are a woods and resins lover like me...there's amber, and woods, and honey and a touch of fruit...mixed so well as none of the parts are overwhelming...this smells expensive (and it is) and very exotic...total love...

A delicious opening of honey and spices. Almost edible. It dries down to spicy vanillary base. Average longevity and sillage. It doesn't really develop much. Others have already mentioned other great spicy vanilla scents that it is similar to. Very nice but I have other scents that are so similar. Great on the fellas as much as us gals. My favourite genre.

I think if you task a Scandinavian person to dream up the most stereotypical (in a good way!) middle eastern scent, this is what you would get: festive, spicy, easy to love. I do not pick up any citrus notes - mostly honey, spices and amber. Nevertheless, I absolutely adore it. It has great longevity (12 hours for me).

To me, this is all about patchouli, amber, and honey. There's something slightly incensy and medicinal in the initial opening, but this quickly transforms into a resinous patchouli, sweetened by honey. Rose and tobacco are not listed as notes, but it feels like both are in here. Love this!

I didn’t know what to expect or know what this perfume is about. Just that when I sniffed it, and was instantly teleported back to a hippie store near me that closed down not too long ago, it all made sense. (also not a huge fan of honey scents but OMG i’m in love with this formulation!)

This smells like a chai tea latte with some incense. Very sweet, a bit spicy, a bit smokey. I like it, but it does get a bit too sweet and cloying for my liking after a while. I could only wear it during freezing cold, faux fur coat and knit scarf type of weather.

What an order I'm reviewing these in! 🤣 Gets better every time. Anyway, this is probably the only perfume I've sniffed with a honey note that I actually like apart from Zoologist's bee (which was overwhelming but nice in the air). I'd buy this! Yummyyy

Can we have more reviews on this beauty? It's such an intriguing fragrance! There is something fuzzy in it, kind of like menthol, I can't put my finger on. Could it be the honey? I would love to hear your opinions on it!

I was determined to step out of my comfort zone and find a scent that was completely different than anything I have ever smelled. When I stumbled across this bottle I thought...there is absolutely nothing fancy about this bottle and really thought it would just be muhhh in regard to how it may smell. Was I wrong!!! I sprayed the small white paper tab and it instantly took my breath away!! Not in a good way either. It was just so darn over powering on the initial spray. There was something about this scent though that was different than anything I ever smelled. I put the white tab next to the bottle and spent about a half an hour smelling other scents. Something kept telling me to go back to the Kasbah tab. When I picked it up closed my eyes and took a sniff I was instantly transported! I felt like I was walking through the souks at golden hour in the Medina in beautiful Marrakech. If I could choose a year I would say mid 60ies. The first thing I smell is smokey amber with wonderful companion of patchouli hanging on its shirt tail. Once it drys down a little you can really smell the sweet honey and insense covered wood notes. When it finally settles in you can smell what is insanely identical to those small Coca Cola gummy candies. This is not a bad thing. It’s almost like the candy are in the middle of all these beautiful scents surrounding it. It holds on your skin for hours and is an absolute beast! I can go 12 hours and still smell it with only 3 sprays. Two on my neck and one on my shirt. I usually get compliments on most scents I wear which certainly makes one feel good. With that being said, nothing yet with Kasbah. I really like this scent but it may not be for everyone.

A very spicy-honey-amber fragrance that just smells like a Middle Eastern spice shop or dessert store, displaying alcohol or syrup with spice or herbs. It opens with honey and dried citrus peel (the citrus's sourness neutralizes some of the honey sweetness, and the citrus itself is a little more dry and aged), and then patchouli comes in. The sweetness of the middle note is reduced to amber, with a little saffron-like floral flavor. It gets lighter here, and I can feel the transparency of amber. I won't feel breathless, even though the various flavors are still obvious. The sweetness keep decreasing, and the base notes turns into those woody notes indicated in the fragrance notes, with a bit of creamy sweetness and medicinal sensation. The retention and diffusion are very strong. ------ 非常中东的辛香蜂蜜琥珀,就是走进了一家中东香料店或甜点店的味道。有一些药酒或药用糖浆的感觉。 开头是蜂蜜和陈皮(柑橘在这里酸度算是中和了一些蜂蜜的甜,本身的风味更偏干偏陈一点),然后会出现广藿香。 中调甜度降低转变成琥珀,带一点红花的味道。有红花油和清凉油的影子。闻起来变得比较轻盈,好像感觉到了琥珀的透明感,不会觉得透不过气,但各个味道还是很明显存在的。 然后甜度逐渐降低,后调变成 fragrance notes里后调标出的这些带点奶甜味和药感的木质香。 留香和扩散都非常强。

I’m not usually big on heavier scents but this one is delicious. There is a certain medicinal quality to it, which evokes a very specific memory of being sick with lung problems during an unseasonably cold autumn, and receiving aerosol therapy when I was little. Something in this reminds me of the very particular smell of the medicine in the inhaler. Driving to the doctors office in the car of a family member who’s wearing some vaguely oriental fragrance. Wandering down the snow covered street in September, sucking on a honey flavoured lozenge. It’s an oddly specific memory and conjures up very different imagery from the rest of the comments but it’s where this takes me. This one’s very much leaning into those melancholy late autumn/early winter vibes for me, probably due to the association with my childhood illness. I really really like it though. Surprising that rose isn’t listed in the notes.

Great big golden honeyed aura with not much else to it. Perfectly fine: ochre warmth and just enough woodiness to take the edge off all the honey - not even the faintest tinge of urine in this take on the note, which is pretty skilful stuff. Vanilla and tonka clearly in there too but dry / dusty enough not to cloy. So yes - it's sweet and mainstream amber overall, but all done with a finely-controlled hand. Absolutely straight-down-the-middle unisex, and discreet enough to be wearable to most places or occasions. Yes, it's just fine. Somehow doesn't make my pulse throb faster though - maybe a tiny bit uninspired, despite its good taste.

This opens with a burst of honeyed bitter orange and lime. It has this sharpness to it that I’m usually not a fan of in perfume but I adore it in this one. Probably because my mom wears this and it reminds me of her. After a while it dries down into this beautiful ambery vanilla woody scent. It goes powdery on me which I love. When I smell it I get this image of rlly chic woman in a speakeasy wearing a worn-in leather jacket drinking cocktail with whiskey and candied oranges.

this would be worn by someones rich auntie that always greets you with tea when you come over and makes sure you're fed. she has plush rugs, cozy majlis, and incense burning in her house at all times. absolutely beautiful honeyed amber, long wearing, beautifully blended. dry down is a bit too patchouli forward for my liking, but the first couple hours are gorgeous.

Sweet, herbal, citrusy honey-amber with a leather finish. The geranium note is surprisingly potent to my nose. This just feels a little bit underbaked, like they could have refined it a little bit more, but it’s very striking and the drydown in particular is very unique. Has a similar feel to Chergui by Serge Lutens imo, if a little bit sharper and stranger

This smells witchy! Not the wood witch though, new age hippie witch in her little shop with amulets, incense and spices. It opens slightly aggressively with a lot of sharp sweetness, but dries down to a beautiful slightly sweet woody scent on me. Not a daily wear but it’s a fun perfume to own.

At first spray on card it was very much a hint of candles with an old man kind of scent I didn't enjoy. However it quickly dried down to a nice scent of a warm honey scented candle. I love it.

This is a very nice spicy amber scent with decent performance from three sprays. But Kasbah has a major flaw: there’s nothing distinctive about this blend, it smells like so many others that it would be redundant to have in my collection. Just look at the “voted similar list” above. So another easy to wear amber with vanilla, patch and woods in the base— if you don’t have a lot of ambers, this might check off all the boxes for you. Reminds me of the number one voted scent above, Les Nereides Opoponax (the reformulated version) as well as Sarah Jessica Parker’s spicy amber, Stash. But the latter can be found for less than half of Kasbah at retail and for more volume. Overall I’m underwhelmed.

This scent haunted me for years after a few dabs from a tester--so much so that I finally purchased a large decant. I hoped that my memory of the scent as lush and warm and inviting would ring true. It...didn't, not really. My main issue with this fragrance is its harshness. Whatever rich warmth it carries lies below a thick layer of sharp booziness, so powerful it projects pain straight into my temples. It shouts its presence instead of subtly alluring. I've since added Ambre Russe to my collection, a new favorite which--funnily enough--smells closer to my initial fond scent-memory of Kasbah.

This is very true to the notes - you have a honeyed leather, a root beer-y amber overdosed in vanilla and tonka, and a sharpened stick of wood punched through it all. Really worth a try. Though maybe I’m being a bit generous as I’m rather a fanboy of 19-69 at this point, as the mix is not quite to my taste - the honey a little cloying and the wood a little harsh on my skin. I think if it sits better on you, or you’re more of a honey lover, this can be something great.

Powdery Dr Pepper with added honey right away, then woodsier (sandalwood and Tonka, not the guaiac, sadly), slightly smoky. The patchouli lime geranium notes kill it for me. It’s pretty, especially the dry down, but I prefer others

Extremely spicy and ambery. Kind of overwhelming to my nose but this would be Morocco in a fragrance form. The bohemian Talitha Getty vibe is captured well. Very unisex.

This perfume was... fine. As someone who has been to the kasbah in Marrakesh, I was expecting something a bit darker, smokier, and spicier. This is too sweet and a bit too floral. It's a good scent but misnamed. Not particularly strong either.

Who's ready for a long winded story of my discovery of this gem? I was perusing my local bookstore and asked one of the women to help me find a book for my son. She led me to the young adult section and started rattling off some authors and titles, but all I could focus on was her sillage which was otherworldly. It felt part incense/head shop, part cozy blanket, part dry woods, part this-is-what-I-always-smell-like. I interrupted her mid-sentence, asking "I'm sorry, but what fragrance are you wearing?" She looked at me with her brow furrowed. "You know, I can see the name of the bottle on my dresser, but for the life of me I can't remember the name. Cabal? Caraval? Something like that." I smiled politely, secretly fuming that I would never find out her secret. She then offered a clue. "My husband bought me one of those trial sets, there were 8 of them I think, and this was the only one I ended up liking." Still not quite enough information. I sighed, breathing in once more her billowy aura. "Well, it's absolutely beautiful and you wear it well," I said. Her eyes lit up as she raised a finger in the air. "You know what" she said, starting back quickly towards the cash register, "I'm going to remind myself to take a picture of the bottle so next time you're in, I will show you." Giddy with excitement, I thanked her profusely as I proceeded to purchase a stack of books from who knows where and about who knows what. Upon returning a week later, we both laughed when she showed me the picture from her phone. "Kasbah!" And now you know how I discovered this beauty. However, there is a plot twist, as there is a medicinal quality to Kasbah that persists - either geranium or menthol - that ultimately ruined it for me. Like many loves lost, there was redemption in my story that led me to a true love found - Les Nereides Opoponax.

Not typically a big patchouli fan. Don’t hate it, but a prominent patchouli often overwhelms me with high school headshop or bores me with uninspired department store. This one, though, is a very thoughtful, rounded, and true patchouli, sophisticated, immediately reminded me of my belovedSeminalis upon first spray. Lots and lots of that on me, plus a big warm honey, amber, lighter tonka and vanilla, pretty significant guaiac in the dry down. I get absolutely no citrus and no true sandalwood. Geranium and patchouli gives me a (forgive me for the overdone turn of phrase) slight “old lady” vibe, one that I think could’ve been either lightened by a more prominent citrus or edged up with a more prominent leather, but I *like* old ladies. Probably not Marrakech, no. But certainly someone who’s been there. There is something sensual here but it’s not overt to my nose. It might be an air of self-possession, its straightforward boldness, the inherent coolness of walking into a room drenched in an unapologetic composition of such a contentious note. Not aged and faded, but vintage on purpose, heady and dramatic but clever and cheekily self-aware about it all. Not terribly complex but still exciting given the aura it creates. Fairly linear. Beastly projection and longevity for me. I wear it and imagine being someone’s very glittering, fabulous, exciting aunt coming to visit after a long time abroad taking pottery classes and younger boyfriends at discos. Big heavy turquoise squash blossom necklace. Marketplace kaftan. Paisley scarf, maybe lost on the pacific coast highway after it whiffed off out of a convertible.

I tried it for the first time at Colette in Paris, a few weeks before it sadly closed for good. I remember commenting to my husband it smelled as if a bunch of stylish French people went to Morocco to party. Turns out, it was influenced by the French party scene in the Marrakech. I am not actually much for heavier, Oriental scents, but who doesn’t want to go to a party like that? This is a very Western take on oriental fragrances. It’s definitely a statement. For the price, you do get an elegantly composed scent that doesn’t smell like your stereotypical harem scent (this is the mental classification I use for overly sweet and heavy orientalists perfumes). The notes though are typical — tonka, honey, wood, spices. It’s just very well done. Intense projection, sillage, longevity. Your pillow will smell like it if you spray it on the morning and take a nap at 4pm. Your clothes would smell like it, so don’t commit any murders while wearing it, I guess. I wouldn’t wear it to the office for fear of your colleagues complaining if they are sensitive to perfume. I wouldn’t wear it on the plane, either. I would say in the Occidental perfume tradition, this is a ‘winter’ perfume, but hey, Morocco is hot, so wear it during the summer as well (I do prefer it in cooler temperatures though). I would definitely peg it as unisex. It’s good stuff if you can get it — seems harder to get in the U.S., but worth it. Get it, you won’t regret it.

Kasbah reminds me of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and Bon Bon. It's like they had a baby and named it Kasbah. This is a very edible perfume. Smells like a sweet honey desert like baklava w/ a leather jacket in the background. If you want to smell like a honey flavored desert w/ a touch of leather. Check it out. It just isn't my thing. Edit: 11/28/22 There are better sweet leathers than this one and cheaper as well. I like some Niche fragrances and own a few but w/ Niche many times the perfumes smell overdone, like they are trying too hard to be the genre they are in. All the gourmands or any other genre I have sampled from many Niche brands have no, nuance about them. They are so direct in their execution that you forget they are supposed to be perfumes.

⁠ 19-69 is a brand that was unknown to me. The brand has a distinctive ‘70ies party-feel, due to names such as Purple Haze. ⁠ Recently I came across a part of the collection.⁠ The one that stood out most to me is Kasbah, because of it potency and smell. ⁠It is a semi-sweet spicy amber with woody notes. It is reminiscent of vintage Opium but sweeter, woodier and more up to date. I liked the smell, but probably would struggle with finding an occasion to wear it. Also it opens big, but dries down to modest sillage quite soon. ⁠

from the entire discovery set (9 of them) this is the one that spoke most to me... that said, it is a smidge derivative of scents already existing (or, scents I have already smelt PRIOR to having smelt this one) and so I will need to test it up against a few other scents which occupy the same kinda terrain. akkad/galaad, or du serail, oud maliki, along with a few select others... I like this enough to buy it, but, you know, you don't wanna buy something that inhabits the exact same territory as something else. so yeah...

This is ONE SEXY fragrance! Smelt the tester at Nordstrom rack - couldn’t decide if I loved it or hated it...... slept on it but had to go back and buy a bottle. On clearance for 50. Couldn’t believe my luck when I looked up the actual price. Mysterious, sexy, oriental, strong, heady - you feel unconquerable wearing it - or at least I do. Not for the faint hearted. I now need to hide the bottle from my husband who adores it as much as I do. Only regret is not buying another bottle or 2. Longevity 8/10, sillage 8/10.

To my nose, this smells a lot like the dry-down of Bentley for Men Intense. Honey takes the place of rum, but to a similar effect and it skips past the screechy, herbal opening of the Bentley (Bay leaf or Clary Sage I think). It's a nicely blended sweet + spicy wood scent with a good dose of patch underpinning it. It's not especially groundbreaking, but it's well done and would be an easy reach for a night out. Performance seems moderate to good in both projection and longevity.

I already have two of their bottles so was hoping to buy this one, but it's stuck on spice mode on high, the entire time. It really does seem stuck there in a cloud, not moving around freely with layers like a fragrance should, enveloping you. Have you seen those videos where a parent throws a slice of processed cheese on their baby and immediately sticks there? Yeah, that's the best visual I have for what happens with this fragrance.

I get a watered down version of Creation E by Roja, Naxos and Carlisle. At start, it comes off spicy. Too spicy (maybe it’s more red tobacco than Carlisle) but that settles in seconds and you’re reminded of the best parts of all three of the mentioned fragrances. Unfortunately that also evaporates quickly as this turns to a skin scent. If this had better projection.

The orange-citrus combo with sweet honey makes for a delicious and well-balanced opening. The patchouli is quite present and creates a beautiful dry down, which is the real highlight of this fragrance. Overall, it’s a refined and clean-smelling scent. Projection is average or slightly below, but for a niche fragrance, it remains wearable and unique. 7.5/10
