Miami Blue

Probably my most successful blind buy til date. Started off with a good ozonic vibe from the calone, very blue but in a more subtle way. The blue note linger in the lower part of my nose instead of in the upper part like othe oceanic blue note. None of the notes is stronger than another. Everything is in the right amount to balance and adding body for eachother. I can tell there is lemon/citrus, ginger, rose and aldehyde but I get everything at once. Lemon is not essential oil, not peel, not juicy, rather powdery, can't even say if it's more natural or more artificial but I liked it. Ginger is not herbal, not spicy, not candy, just a bit of warm leftover after you smelled a heavy dose of ginger, again have a powdery feel to it like the lemon. Rose is also faint, not sweet, not real roses, not fake neither, it's like a room full of expensive rose lotion / soap, and you stepping in smelling the air of the room. Aldehyde covered everything giving you a clean feeling hence why everything feels powdery and unreal. But the star of the show is this cocain note, it has that distinct slight pungent, slight piercing smell, like it hits the inside of your nose, burn it a bit and open your nostril up, but in a different way unlike mint/menthol, aldehyde open your nose and automatically close it right after, making your nose suddenly seems clearer then suddenly seems muted. I believe this is the feeling of cocaine they depicted, you have to tried the stuff to understand I guess, to me this is quite close to the feeling of snorting the real stuff. They nailed the powdery feeling and the whole physical feel of doing the actual stuff. If I have to sum it up, I'd say this feel like you just got out of the cold water of the pool of a 5-stars hotel, took a warm shower in this clean white marble bathroom area, stepping out to where's warm steam leftover, the smell of luxury soaps and lotions lingering in the air, you then started snorting a fat line of coke right in that bathroom and ready to head out.

it's a warm day in south beach miami 1988. your lounging in your silk versace swimsuit by the shimmering swimming pool of your wealthy lover's villa. you sprinkle some cocaine from his endless stash onto his beautiful sunshine glistened chest and cut yourself up a line. you go to snort it and you catch a whiff of his cologne as the yayo rushes into your body. that is what this fragrance smells like. i really love this fragrance for all the wrong reasons. while yes in it's nature it is quite "generic", the taboo aspect is what really sells it for me while it might be what turns people off to this. i don't find it gimmicky at all considering that 19-69 as a brand is based on a nostalgic concept of past times with a modern interpretation. it's fresh and ozonic with a faint saltiness. it's an aldehydic rose with aquatic elements. i find the rose to not be very floral but more musky and briney. the amber is not sweet or heavy but rather dry and adds to the powdery aspect of the fragrance. i find that most of the notes are really just the supporting role to the coke note. the cocaine note in here is that sort of sharp synthetic chemical chalkiness that blow has, but with the dry rosie citrus starchiness to give it a pleasant aroma. but with that said, you can spray this fragrance all over your body and your going to smell good, nobody is going to tell you that you smell like cocaine. but if you were to point it out to someone that has dipped their nose into the more indulgent aspects of life, they might get a giggle out of it. overall it's a pretty safe and easy going scent. it is very reminiscent of those sort of old school fresh aquatic soapy scents from the 90’s but with a modern feel. it's super light and doesn’t stay very long. perfect for a hot summer day in mid july.

I got a sample of Miami Blue today, and I can say it wasn’t what I was expecting but I like it. It’s sharp and a little piercing, with notes of lemon aldehyde and ginger at the top, it’s a bit citrusy and definitely fresh. My girlfriend described it as a weird mix of MontBlanc Explorer and Versace Pour Homme with a bit of Eros, and while I don’t get the Eros I can see the other two. In the mid it has rose oxide, calone, and a cocaine accord. I assume the calone is working with the aldehydes to give it the airy and slightly aquatic or beachy feel. I’m not sure where the sharpness of the fragrance comes from possibly the cocaine, as I’m not sure what it’s supposed to smell like. Maybe that is also the calone and aldehydes mixing with the cocaine. All I know is this fragrance is SHARP I seriously pictured a sword with a blade made of wind, water, and electricity when I first smelled it. I will continue to test but based on first wearing I’d say it’s full bottle worthy. It lasts decently at about 6 to 7 hours currently and it’s fading into a skin scent. The fragrance projects moderately for the first two-ish hours. I like it! It’s definitely a bit weird, while still being mass appealing, fun, and intriguing! Can’t wait to test out more from the house!

The more I wear it, the more I like it. Now, this is an artistic scent so I would not recommend this to someone that doesn't enjoy avant garde fragrances. The opening reminds me of Acca Kappa Muscio Bianco EDP but where that smells astringent and sterile, this does not. Lots of lemon, lots of aldeydes, and a bit of ginger up top. Then you get the "shock value" cocaine note 🌀. I'll admit, know what cocaine smells and tastes like, and here it is pretty realistic. However, it's not reinventing the wheel as Tom Ford Tuscan Leather unintentionally smells like booger sugar. Anyway, then rose oxide, which has has a metallic vibe, and followed by the smell of a ozonic swimming pool. There's also a salty seabreeze. Projection isn't strong, and I've found my sweet spot is around 7-8 sprays. Really interesting headspace perfume. Overall, a fun scent to wear in a gorgeous bottle. 💙 Scent 8/10 Performance 4/10

I don't reach for this too often, but I absolutely love this. It's a Summer freshie that somehow is also dark and mysterious at the same time?? I bought a decant of this last year and knew I wanted a full bottle somehow. Wearing this gives me those 80's Miami vibes, but also it reminds me of like Pulp Fiction which is funny because it does that more than their Burning Palm fragrance which was inspired by the film. Probably the Coca-Cola note lol. If you can find this discounted like I did (purchased for $120 of a 100ml)... RUN and get it otherwise I think it's a touch too expensive. Amazing longevity for the type of DNA this is.

brings me back to being 7 yrs old sniffing the pages of my mom’s fashion magazines for the perfume samples - the amber, but also the glossy paper and the adhesive. the shock value coke note is only really present for about a minute or two on my skin, with the aldehydes and amber being the real stars of the fragrance. beautiful and mature but wearable - there’s the vaguest chlorine scent to it that i think makes it the perfect pool day perfume.

The scent equivalent of cirrus clouds and scientific diagrams. Ice water body shots. A party at Mount Everest and asking all the right questions. An AC on full blast. Leaving, not knowing it’s for the last time. Summer jobs, fake flowers. Winter flings, dead silence. The feeling of an airport at 4am. Getting promoted. A spherical mirror, a pond of white koi fish.

I love this fragrance. The sweet, lemony opening followed by a powdery musk as a result of middle notes. It’s a bright synthesis fresh notes that dries down to amber, leaving a clean and pleasant skin smell. I only get around 4 hours on skin but I have no problem reapplying. Great for summer and spring.

For enthusiasts of la coca this will definitely ring a bell. Fun and summery blue fragrance that finishes with a recognizable but not overpowering medicinal smell and (if you breathe deep) it can even feel a little numbing. Definitely special and an amazing party fragrance!!

this is a beautifully done blue scent. unfortunately it leans VERY masculine on me after the initial spray but dries down to unisex. because of that, i can’t see myself getting a full bottle but it is a very nice scent.

This perfume changed my mind about blue fragrances. It’s not a realistic aquatic scent, it’s more like looking at a neon teal ocean through the lens of a VHS camcorder. Artificial, staticky, sharp, and fresh

I am not super into amber. Something about it can be super headache inducing to me; but it's just perfect in Miami Blue. It's intoxicating. I would like this on a man but I also love it on myself.

This is the ultimate Blue fragrance. It is sharp and shocking at first, but fresh and exciting. A cool watermelon note slices through the rose and lemon; perfect for Summer.

So sharp. BLUE. Chemical, salt-water sea breeze. I love it.

‘Miami Blue’ is fresh in a sharp way. A light citrus with a fresh kick from the ginger. It gets greener and dryer the more it gets to settle down onto the skin, and it smells almost like there is vetiver in the base, but it isn’t? The initial drydown is still pretty fresh and spicy, but there is something really screechy here. I don’t know how to describe it, is it the chemical notes that gives that headache inducing, screechyness? Is it the cocaine? Is it the rose? But at the same time, it is an interesting take on a light blue citrus scent, and I love the cyan coloured bottle. Even though I don’t particularly like it, I still want to keep on sniffing. That has to be the cocaine, right? Nevertheless, I cannot give this anything else than an ‘Ok’. Even though the dry ginger and «vetiver» in the drydown is really making me doubt that. It is way too masculine leaning for me to personally wear it, but if you like these citrus/aquatic scent profiles (and if you’re a finance bro) you should check this one out!

A very cool breeze washes over you when you apply this perfume. It’s a scent for minimalists, that feels a little citrus, a little marine, but mainly that fresh fresh wind of aldehydes. If you’ve ever been on top of a snowy mountain with a wind blowing ice crystals into your face, it’s that dry mineral smell, exactly. The thing I really like about it is that it feels very clean without even a speck of soap appearing. It’s tempting to buy it for that reason since I think a clean perfume can be useful to have, but I dislike soap in perfumes, so I immediately started thinking about when I could wear this. It’s the kind of scent that becomes a bit addictive purely because of it’s weirdness and how different it is. (not the cocaine, lol which I don’t think anyone would recognize unless you point it out ) It only lasts a couple hours though, so that’s the problem with it. It’s completely unisex.

But you do it anyway sometimes because, fuck it, you're human living in a world of fake, bad-for-you shit that's all too easy to say "yes" to? Well, ladies, gentlemen, and all of you who identify as neither, both, either... say hello to my little friend, Miami Blue. 8/10. For me. Because I sometimes like to bask in the sadness of making the choices I make as a human living in a vapid, disconnected, horrifying time.

Miami Blue by 19-69 is sharp but not too sharp, metallic but not overly so. It has a fresh, aquatic feel, with a noticeable chemical aspect that isn’t overwhelming. There’s an uplifting quality to it—maybe from the cocaine note. It smells like Miami, like a beach and a nightclub fused into one. It captures the essence of a late afternoon on a Miami beach, where everyone’s having a great time, and the air is thick with the scent of mind-altering chemicals—especially the uplifting ones. The main drawbacks? First, the atomizer is bad. Second, the longevity isn’t the best. It shines for about ten minutes before settling into a scent bubble around you. I'd say its worth it. I like.

To me, this perfume opens up citrusy and soapy-floral from the aldehydes. After it settles, the amber finally shines through. It takes me back to summer nights at my dad’s hometown, a small fishing town in Tarragona (southern Catalonia) where we would spend time every August. It smells just like my uncle getting ready to go out at night. The cocaine note makes it extra funny since he had a severe cocaine addiction, but I feel like it’s more for shock value because I can’t really smell it on the perfume or when it’s sprayed on me. All around a summer scent in my opinion!

#638 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a unique and refreshing scent. Reminds me of the Atelier citrus colognes like Orange Sanguine, Pacific Lime, Pomelo Paradis. Perfect for casual daytime wear in warm weather. Very marine and aldehyde with a nice ginger note on top and a very subtle amber. Car pool, elevator and office safe, but I'd save it for the outdoors, the beach, lunch outside. I'd say if you like Tommy Bahama scents you'll like this too. I found this online at $85 for 30ml. I think this may be a bottle buy for me.

Probably my favorite from the aquatic shelf at ScentBar, very synthetic sharp masculine ambery aldehydic and I actually really love it for that. Very masculine, reminiscent of the aquatic fragrances put out in the early 2000’s. A bit expensive for what it is going for, but the bottle and the scent are both gorgeous and done very well. Faint citrus and florals with a dominant and synthetic ambroxan/calone type base. Never done cocaine before but I could see the sharp synthetic notes playing on that concept.

Despite the salacious conceit, I think this scent boils down to a sharp, Iso-E-heavy aldehyde blue. I don't see Iso-E in the notes at all, but that's the overwhelming note to my nose. I think that's the mineral almost tang that's supposed to be the cocaine accord. It's aldehydic, but not soapy. I don't get any rose or lemon, just super dry and clean blue. There's nothing wrong with it, and I even like it despite myself considering Iso-E isn't my favorite note. A little fun, not ground-breaking. 8/10.

The ginger and ozonic notes come through very strong on my skin. It's lovely and fresh and really is reminiscent of my aunt's house in Florida. Someone said it smells like celery and the opening note does smell green like a stalk of celery but that quickly mellows out. This would make a great scent for summer. I think it would do nicely in warm, breezy weather. If anyone picked up on the cocaine note in there, let me know because all I smelled was ginger.

Great take on a fresh blue summer perfume. Citrusy but in a soapy and chemical way (Mom, is this what cocaine smells like?). The Miami vibe is really there. I did not smell any rose but the watermelony fresh sweetness from calone at the base is really enjoyable. The citrusy vibe persists for a long time. I plan to revisit this scent in a few months, might get a bottle for the next summer.

I really enjoy this scent. I would describe it as mostly aquatic with a little bit of citrus and something medicinal in the mix. I guess that's the cocaine. I can still smell it after a couple of hours and people can definitely smell it on me. It gets compliments. It is unisex, but I would say that it leans more masculine.

Pretty sharp in the beginning. The dry down in this is fantastic about an hour in. I don’t really get the cocaine note a lot. Pure cocaine smells like nail polish remover and that’s not in here. Still, this is a good one. Good for summer.

probably the most realistic 'watery' fragrance ive smelled, but it also kind of smells like weed....

Snowfall in Miami. Cocaine note (its accurate) makes an otherwise bland aquatic more interesting, but those same aquatic notes combined with the chemical coke note round this scent out very much in cleaning product territory for me. This is the first 15 minutes... Will concede they did a great job crafting a clever initial assault that dries down into a more harmonious scent. It's worth noting I hate aquatics, but my curiosity for this ode to my hometown made it impossible to ignore. I may enjoy partying with someone in Miami Blue but good god would I hate to be their only dinner guest. Purchased spray samples of this brand on Ministry of Scent's website.

Sharp, chemical, vegetal, clean, airy and strange, interesting without being appealing, not a sexy scent and different from a lot of others, no sweetness, it's trying too hard but it's not a bad scent either, A for effort.

Smells like oud mineral by Tom ford did a bunch of cocaine... I guess it’s the amber and maybe this has a touch more sea notes than listed. It’s ok absolutely No Rose on my skin. Meh 6.4/10

I got a sample of this and it sort of has this afterscent of... Dead bugs? Some people never know what I mean when I say "dead ladybug smell" but it's like that. If you know, you know.

I'm genuinely not sure what cocaine smells like. Google seems to think, "gasoline, chemicals, and bleach" but this is your average light, average floral green scent...so...not that...

Sharp and bitter. Some kind of citrus soap. More on the masculine side, especially at the beginning. Not sure yet if I will wear it, but it's a pretty unique scent.

Fresh and super dry. A lot of aldehyde. Don’t pick up any rose. Unfortunately not for me. Way too aquatic and sharp for my nose.

Not one for citrusy scents but I am one for mostly anything Miami Vice related as I’m a major fan, (born in the wrong era, I often fantasize how cool it must have live thru that time). Anyways, the two from this brand I was interested to try were this one first, and then I saw they made a American psycho frag which is one of my fav books and movies, but have only found large bottles to buy, or samples from overseas which would cost $$$$ so hoping that will be restocked, as I ALMOST blind bought a FB of it but thankfully I didn’t... Reason why? I know blind buying is risky I get that. Lately I’ve been pretty lucky w my blind buying, esp if it’s a frag that I know is so expensive and or rare and find a good deal, money is money but some things are either impossible to find samples of or I feel like I’m spending so much sampling lately that I’ve gotten impatient and on a frag binge but that stopped as of yesterday when the sales were gone. Ok, so back to this frag. I was curious about this as it said it had cocaine I think in the note and being a former girl that did her fair share of skiing in high school and college but traded that in for a clean nose and clean living. Anyways, I sprayed myself w my sample this early afternoon, all over, both wrists, my neck, and inner elbow, despite me wearing a long sleeve sweater and coat over that. At first I thought hmm I really like this! And I did for the first 15-30 mins. Than I felt like a prisoner of myself. I had to take a Lyft to take my dog to the vet (the drivers car was clean and no smell), and the vet is clean too, someone at the vet commented how she smelled so good (she does but I think my Miami overdose rubbed on her). It’s not the worst thing I’ve smelled, but it’s also not unique. It smells like a lot of men’s aquatic frags I’ve smelled, just not as sweet. It’s fresh and leans masculine, but it’s just too much for me. It’s worth pointing out I wasn’t overly generous with my sprays as I’ve been w other frags. This has strong silage which is something I like (just not on this), and though I have only worn it for 4 + hours so far, it feels like 4 days. It’s not a scrubber, honestly I feel like it’s a clever description and name for a cologne. The notes to American psycho seem like some I’d really like and some maybe not, but I’m too nervous to buy a FB (I’d buy the travel size if it was available but it’s always sold out when I look). I recieved my Miami sample 2 days too late as I placed an order for a frag I wanted on a boutique website and saw they had the Miami candle and figured hey why not add it to my order as I love candles too, and it was part of the 30%, tho at least w the candle I can place it in a diff room, it will smell fresh, but also have the cologne smell- which is what I’m not liking at all. Mind you I do like some scents that def lean towards male but this was just too masculine and cloying for me. I’m also not a rose girl which worried me but I get no rose nor do I get any cocaine. It’s a bergamot lemony cologne with a bit of sweetness but just rubs me the wrong way and smelled like dozens of other men’s colognes out there, just not my thing. It’s strong, and def not for the faint of heart. I don’t think I’ll be using the remainder of my sample unless it’s to spray a bathroom. (Still I’m curious to try smell American Psycho but will have to remain that way until a sample is back in stock). I spent the past hour+ going in and outside taking my trash out and dozens of boxes and was hoping the cold weather would help tame it but it didn’t do anything. Hard pass.

Very cold, blue and chemically and the ozonic notes and ginger are strong on my skin. Smells like very salty sea air and chemicals. Not the biggest fan of this one and it’s a very masculine scent on me. If you love masculine ozonic scents but want something a little different try this one out

Honestly I just get alcohol from this. It just never goes away. Which sucks, because it definitely does smell good under it. I don't recommend this one if you are sensitive to that alcohol smell like I am.

I really didn't like this one. The cocaine note is honestly very strong to my nose. I'm an aldehyde junkie and assumed that this fragrance would be right up my ally and that the cocaine note was just a marketing ploy, but to me it really is hyper realistic and it makes me uncomfortable. Not a fan. I couldn't wait to scrub this off.

You can get this on LuckyScent the sample and bottle if you are in the US instead of dealing with shipping from oversees. As for the scent. Lets be honest. Most are interested for the coke note. Sure the coke note is there. The coke note is not as "loud" as Tuscan Leather. But Tuscan Leather that top coke note fades and the rest of the notes smells stale to the point you need to wash it off in 30 minutes. The note last longer with this. And the scent is so much more cleaner. The best way I can describe this is it smells like Diors Fahrenheit and Dawn linen laundry soap. Its like someone wearing Fahrenheit then put on a fresh clean shirt straight out the drier with a linen fabric softener. Its a interesting novelty scent. Get the tester don't blind buy. If your a fan of Fahrenheit and like linen you will love this. I don't think its worth the $195 a bottle.

"Day one of a three day bender" is how the lovely staff member at Lore Perfumery described Miami Blue, and yeah, that's it. Glittering seaside, top three buttons undone, white loafers, up to no good. Airy and astringent with a warm base of amber and body heat. The cocaine note is pitch perfect, sharp and a little shocking but also fairly ephemeral. A very fun and clever fragrance.

this is pretty nice. it's a quite masculine - piercing ozonic-citrus. the aldehydes almost come across as a sour-wood. It's probably not going to blow your socks off - but it does make for a fantastic summer scent with a bit of a twist. The cocaine thing is dumb - and makes me think less of the brand - but overall, the scent is pretty good. 6/10

was very intrigued by the cocaine note but all im getting from this one is mens aftershave, which is to say its skews way too masculine for me also very chemical and unnatural, it lingers way too long and settles in this very unpleasant way not for me at all but i shouldve expected that since i really dislike aldehyde scents

I was just browsing different frags and came across this... cocaine? Really? This has to be some sort of marketting scheme just to attempt to catch people's attention... why in the world would anyone use a note that smells like "cocaine"? This is so cringe.. But hey, maybe it smells good to some folks.

Anyone else get a fresher version of the style of scent of Ganymede? I like this and think it’s probably more wearable, particularly in the spring/summer. The aldehyde, citrus, and ginger give it a unique smell (with the exception for the resemblance to Ganymede).

Fresh and soapy. The cocaine note is quite accurate imo. My husband was very pleased by this one. He walked in the room and was like "I LOVE IT"
