Rainbow Bar

Rainbow Bar is one of those masculine style perfumes that works year-round. There is a fresh spicy and aromatic zip that works in hot weather and there is a Christmas kind of vibe from the cypress, the booze and the warm spices that makes it work for wintertime as well. I usually don't like sea notes in perfumes but here it is not overdone. I also get the nice woody notes here as well. Rainbow Bar is blended so perfectly that nothing overpowers and all the elements act together in perfect harmony. A woman could wear this but for me this is a masculine fragrance. There is just a touch of fruity sweetness here, but this is not a sweet perfume. Aromatic, fresh spicy, warm spicy, boozy, fresh. It is a real winner. Just upgraded this to a love. Familiar yet new at the same time. That is when Niche shines, when it does the familiar in a new way and Rainbow Bar is a shining example of that type of execution. I will love this on my husband.

This is my go to going out scent. It initially spray as a very citrusy/spicy scent, almost peppery. Then as it dries down it really starts to take place as you add a nice undercurrent of bourbon, basil, and clove. You really smell the bergamot, cedarwood, and clove. If you are a fan of a nice night scent to make you feel like a sexy mf, this is a go to. This definitely leans more male than some of the others in the 19-69 collection, but I think anyone could pull this off with confidence. It works in any situation and any season so it's great if you just work off one bottle. My only "complaint" is that is starts off really strong with the sillage but that quickly dries down to within arms reach. Also, the company is super nice and they upgraded my 50 mL purchase to 100 mL for free because they ran out of 50 mL bottles.

I have tried all the 19-69 perfumes, love/like many, and own several full bottles, including this one. It’s bright, sharp, green and herbaceous, but then doesn’t just seem like a straight up green scent. The opening is very attention grabbing, seem like a lot is going on, but it all comes together harmoniously. I wanted to, and thought I would, like Purple Haze from this brand more, but to me this is kind of a more interesting, focused, and better performing version of it. Both have a woody/green/herbal this going on, but this one is just so much more interesting and versatile.

Spicy-sweet, herbal, and woody. There’s a ton jammed in here, but the blend is smooth and harmonious. Happy to smell it all day. It might be *too* pleasant, especially for the price. The product storytelling promises a sweaty edge, like the Rainbow Bar in 1978—“I met a girl at the Rainbow Bar/She asked me if I’d beat her...”—but the result is tame enough for tourists, like the Rainbow Bar today. I don’t want to talk about it! EDIT: it’s growing on me as an aromatic wintertime potpourri bowl with a citrus twist. Warm spices can easily get too sweet. Might buy for that reason.

Omigod! Sweet fruits over whiskey for a mixed drink vibe. Some aquatic freshness, plus green and herbaceous textures give it a summer night on the Pacific coast, outdoor tiki bar in paradise kind of feeling. Redolent of a perfect summer night but I’d enjoy it any time and season, filling a similar need as Light Blue but niche-ified. Utterly attractive, sophisticated and intriguing, just perfectly balanced. Sample nearly done, I need me a bottle!

Like everyone else has said, it's very complex, somehow fresh and spicy at the same time. I think for me it's kind of like Christmas holly-- it's got a wintery evergreen note, but also a fruity berry note that becomes very prominent when it fades into clothing.

When you first spray it, it is quite unpleasant - old ash and expired grandpa cologne! But let it sit for 5 minutes, and OMG!!! Love, love, love! It's fresh, and warm, and woody, and spicy, and dries down to something slightly sweet and delicious!

Call me crazy but this is the warm weather version of TF Oud Wood.

"Rainbow Bar is evocative of the 1980s glamrock era in LA and the music scene and lifestyle of the US West Coast during the 1960s and 1970s. Elements like the sun, the blue skies and warm glow that embrace LA". I was expecting an woody aromatic based on what fragrantica says, but what I got was a an explosion of sweetness that almost made me wash it off. I'm glad I didn't, because after about 20 to 30 minutes it gets much better. This fragrance is very concentrated and dense. It looked like I poured pure perfume oil on my skin. After the intial stage of sweet 80's excess, the cypress and herbs come out in the mid, and then the woods and slightly smokey whiskey accord in the base. Not fb worthy for me, but I appreciate the art and can see why people like it. It's a roller coaster ride that nearly made me sick, but was also fun and exhilarating. 🎢 Edit. I had an epiphany about this frag and I now know what this fragrance is all about. This smells like bars used to smell in the past when you could smoke in them. Sweet mixed drinks like daiquiris that mixed with the smell of bar funk, cigarettes, whiskey, and drunk people radiating body heat and sweating booze in tight quarters.

Herbal + oriental + woody. Starts off innocently, then very pronounced sweet and winey for hours. Herbal + some citrus opening, green from artemisia reminds me of saffron, also can smell some smoky burnt rubbery (probably grapeseed) and vetiver. Then there are the herbs with amber and honey sensations and their sweetness infused in syrup or medicinal alcohol, with a cool combination of basil, artemisia, cloves and other spices like some kind of herbal ointment or syrup. And the peaceful ending in woodys. The spicy part is similar to Kasbah and La Habana, except that Kasbah is rich in spices and amber honey, and La Habana and this bottle are lighter, each going in a different direction. ------ 草本+东方香调+woody的组合,开头人畜无害,中段甜味和酒香很明显。 草本+一些柑橘开场,绿意带着蒿类植物像藏红花一样的辛香,还可以嗅到一点甚至有烟熏暴晒橡胶质感(可能是葡萄籽)和香根草。然后是有琥珀和蜂蜜感的草药及其浸泡在糖浆或药酒里的甜味,清凉的罗勒和蒿类植物、丁香等香料组合像某种草药油膏或糖浆。最后是woody。 辛香的部分和他们家Kasbah和La Habana很像,只是Kasbah是浓郁香料和琥珀蜂蜜,La Habana和这瓶清淡些,各自走向不同。

Forest on the edge of a lake. This is woodsy, green, balsamic, and refreshing at the same time. The vetiver note is quite strong, so if you don’t like vetiver this might not be for you. I also smell the marine notes, they’re crisp and refreshing, like a crystal clear stream running through the woods. I struggle with truly unisex frags sometimes, but I actually like this, so if you’re kind of a girly-girl like me about perfumes, you might like this too. It has a brightness and a hint of sweetness to it that I like. Rainbow Bar is definitely more pleasant than some of the other 19-69 fragrances I’ve tried. It’s my favorite of the four I’ve sampled (the others being Chronic, Higher Peace, and Villa Nellcote).

This is my second time smelling this- the opening had too much of * something*, I couldn't pinpoint it my nose isn't so good at identifying some notes. I was so surprised during the intial drydown because I smelled Jovoy Paris Remember Me, minus the very lactonic elements, and the tea and ginger! But something about the 'body' of both fragrances are the same. After comparing on Fragrantica, it seems they both share the same notes of: bergamot, cardamom, cedar, and woody notes. I personally am a fan of lactonic notes, so I prefer Jovoy Paris Remember Me. After 2-3 hours on paper, it bears much less resemblance to Remember Me.

A really pretty, wearable scent. It has a very familiar quality i can't put my finger on, but I would describe it as "comfortable". Dries down linearly, without a very distinct difference from the initial notes for me. Im getting vague sweetness, woodiness, and greenness, with a boozy base. Maybe a bit of a marine quality? I definitely agree with the "west coast" characterization, this would perfectly compliment a drive down the 1. Can't decide yet if it's full bottle worthy, but worth a try for sure.

This is a very calming, green scent with an initial blast of citrus and evergreen trees that quickly gives way to a spicy, woody heart. You can really start to smell the cardamom and vetiver in the dry down, which I think are the stars of the show here. Reminds me of a dark and mysterious forest. Leans a little masculine and I think it’d be a great scent for those transitional months like spring and late summer/early fall. 5.5/10

To me, this is all about vetiver. It's a citrusy, aromatic vetiver that has a hint of sweetness from fruit. Vetiver scents are hit or miss for me, and this is a hit. The citruses/fruits are prominent in the opening, along with elemi resin. As it develops, I get a bit of a salty accord from the sea notes. Is masculine IMO and could be worn anytime of year. I'd enjoy smelling this on a man, but would also wear it myself.

Have never experienced the West Coast so can't say whether I can confirm the website's stance. I can say that this is a pleasantly sweet woody aromatic fragrance. Easy on the nose and easy for me to wear. One of those close to perfect, wear-anytime/season ones for me. Being a woody-aromatic I can't recognize the sea notes and the elemis here is not acrid as it usually presents itself to me. Like this one.

It really does kinda smell like a bar on the coast to me. Like not just the booze, but the life inside, the warm salty air and neon lights, peoples' flashy clothes and the perfume they're all wearing. It is a wearable and crowd pleasing scent I think though esp for a niche frag. Starts off sharp and herbal then dries down to the booze and woody notes.

A beautiful nature scent; fresh, crisp, alive and offbeat. I don’t pick up a specific season or holiday, but I do read this as a masculine scent (and for females that like wearing them). Vetiver is forward in the opening, mellows in the base. Performance is impressive for this genre, six hours and Rainbow Bar was still lightly projecting.

At first spray I found it very summery, like a pine forest by the sea, but then it switched to a more autumnal, warm spicy fragrance, and then back and forth between these two. I like it, I think it is very versatile and could be worn during any season.

Spicy grape seeds. Quite nice! Definitely not generic though so try find a sample size to see if you like it first
