#115 of My Fragrance Journey - 19-69 Yes Please: Deconstructed gin under a crumbling arch. It feels like a coat swinging open mid-stride - a sudden draft of bitter botanicals that shears the air in two. I was testing it alongside something bright and fruity on my other wrist. Easy, almost playful. And then there was this. Sharp, herbal, bitter. Not unpleasant - but uncompromising. Two completely different worlds, one on each arm, not speaking to each other. The opening sits somewhere between medicinal and elemental. Juniper? Cypress? I kept changing my mind. Sometimes it smells like crushed gin botanicals scattered across cold metal. Other times, like walking through dark conifers after rain, that dry resinous bitterness trees release into silence. It's a gin and tonic - but not the refreshing kind. Decomposed. Structurally separated into raw components, each one intensified under fluorescent light. You smell the architecture of the idea more than the drink itself. And honestly, that's what makes it interesting. Even while it held me slightly at a distance. There's no juicy citrus to pull you in. No sweetness softening the edges. I kept waiting for something - a cucumber freshness a lot of people mention - but on my skin it never arrived. It stayed dry, aromatic, reserved. The rhythm is fractured and jabbing rather than fluid. It doesn't flow so much as hold its position, like a tailored silhouette with clean lines and something feral running quietly underneath. The deeper it settles, the more it earns its place. The base is genuinely beautiful - dark green conifers stretching beneath everything with a timeless elegance that feels earned rather than designed. The vinyl inspiration starts making sense the longer you wear it. Not literal plastic or records - atmosphere. Dusty club corners, black leather carrying traces of cigarette smoke and cold night air, industrial spaces that someone briefly made human. Not nostalgic in an obvious way, but capturing that tension - creativity against harshness, elegance against decay, people trying to build something beautiful inside concrete. Still. This isn't going to work for everyone, and it knows that. The opening alone will lose a lot of people - it's aggressive, bitter, deliberately aloof. It wraps its coat too tightly, stays planted in damp shadows when one breath of warmth might've broken the whole thing open. Even as someone who genuinely respects what it's doing, I appreciate it more than I crave it. There's a difference. Some fragrances flirt immediately. Yes Please! watches from across the room first. Whether that reads as intriguing or just cold probably says more about you than it does about the fragrance. Vibe: Industrial concrete, cold gin, damp pine needles. Somewhere between a club and a forest. Performance: Sharp and aggressive early, settles into a persistent woody hum that stays closer than expected. Fit: You wear this when you want to feel isolated, sharp, and completely indifferent to the crowd. can somebody explain why it smells almost exactly like amazingreen by comme des garcons... they don't seem to share notes so I'm really confused. i loved amazingreen, so I'd choose it over this one because of the price.

Am I the only one who likes this? I paired it with Labels Amber & Fig and it worked really well.

Loved the sample when smelling it in the store, but definitely dries down on the skin into a more masculine fragrance. It's a crisp, bright, fresh one, but still, not for me. Realizing I need to trust the fragrantica gender ratings when it comes to such piney, herbal scents, even though the notes always draw me in.

Nice top notes of cucumber, lemon and cardamom soon make way for a drydown of cheap, old cologne.

Found this line in Tenerife (which, is, to my surprise absolutely jam packed with perfume shops!! Niche, designer, you'll find everything especially around Costa Adeje and Las Americas.) Great line of perfumes and this one stood out - fresh green, aromatic, a little citrussy and christmassy. Very unisex green and coniferous. Having said that it's actually cheaper back in the UK but I'm starting to realize why Brits love the canaries. Warm in the winter, close, cheap (ish) and an absolute sensual paradise - huge perfume shops and amazing ice cream around every corner. Just stay away from the nightlife :D Eek.

The opening is fresh and succulent, but then it turns into a woody-herbal scent, with some permanent freshness. It smells unique and "déja-smelled" at the same time. Very late dry down smells of slightly sweet Cypress and fresh Amyris. I think it's one of those all year round scents, which is probably more suited for a man.

Slicing cucumbers in an herb garden in the middle of summer. It’s interesting but feels kind of heavy and stifling, like all these scents are hanging in heavy, sticky air.

Beautiful, fresh opening which quickly dissipates and leaves an average cologne behind. The cucumber note is amazing.

This really smells like a cloth that you store in an old cabinet/ wardrobe. Very nostalgic. But not for me
