24 Gold Oud Edition

For whatever reason, the opening of this reminds me strongly of Ultra Male - it only lasts a few minutes, but something about the combo of cinnamon and vanilla gives me Ultra Mal deja vu. Something about the amber (any maybe oud?) smells pearish as well. No idea why, and its only for a brief few moments, but the similarity is definitely there for whatever reason (note: ultra male is one of my all time favorite fragrances) Besides that, i second what most others say here. Good performance, unfortunately i dont get "nuclear" performance as some have mentioned, but i can consistently count on 7-8+ hours. Sweet, vanilla, amber, and a touch of cinnamon and oud. 9/10 for me. I may have to spring for the 100ml once i run through my 50 EDIT (1/?): Earlier on i stated that i do not get beast mode performance from this, which is still true. 7-8+ hours is what i get somewhat consistently. But i wanted to provide another example for comparison: I also have Mancera's aoud vanille, which in some ways is similar to this scent. At the very least, I would use them in similar situations. Now this one truly is beast mode on me - 11-12+ hours on the low end with strong projection through the first 3-4. Maybe i got a sub-par batch of 24 Gold Oud, or maybe my skin chemistry just doesnt work as well with it, who knows, ill probably have to try a handful of bottles to figure out. In either case, i wanted to briefly talk about the mancera as a point of reference, which performs MUCH better on my skin compared to this stuff.

#765 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Arabian Oud has a fabulous scent called "Kalemat." I paid $99 for the last bottle I purchased. As many on here have recognized, this ScentStory fragrance is similar for around $32. All day longevity. Projects like a lighthouse. Probably date wear, not business wear. Very potent. I wouldn't inflict it on others in a tight space. When I first encountered these scents, named and logoed to evoke the television show "24", the series was still on the air. I am very skeptical of "novelty" fragrances named for fictional characters, actors, dead people, sports figures, rap stars. But I'm Glad I took the chance on these as I think they're great scents. However, the novelty is clearly wearing off since "24" went off the air. Certain scents in this line are getting harder and harder to find. Fortunately this one is still relatively easy to come by. But I'm considering stocking up on the Neroli Elixir, Elixir Gold and this scent in anticipation of the line being discontinued. This is a nice, very Oriental, very masculine scent. In the same category as Lattafa "Raghba Wood Intense" and Lattafa "Khalis" also sold and labeled as "Pure Oudi." However, this scent makes a brighter, fresher impression thanks to the tangerine and neroli, so I prefer it to those scents, though I like them both very much, recommend them to everyone, as I would this scent.

I've had this for a week now and being the proud owner of the entire 24 line I was eagerly anticipating the launch of this one. Blind bought from the back room of the store because they hadn't even put them on the shelves yet and had no testers. Frankly, I thought how much better can this be than the original(?) a fragrance which was right up my street, sweet, fruity, gourmand but resinous, woody and creamy with vanilla. Well Scent story have managed to nail it again! This is quite simply 24 Gold with an amped up Oud note which is prominent and obvious from the very beginning. It's woodier, spicy in a darker way with more pink pepper in the opening for sure but with that sweetness lingering underneath. This lasts for several hours and then it dry's down to a very familiar vanilla 24 Gold accord. This is stunning juice and a perfectly welcome addition to my collection despite owning the original. Although I love it 24 Gold can become a little cloying after a while just due to it's sweetness and massive longevity and projection. This oud addition is a remedy to this issue because of the definite transition between the opening few hours and more recognizable sweetness later. By the time it does arrive, it's softer and welcome to my nose. Huge projection and longevity as expected...just get it!

This is a nice blend of oud with warm amber and a hint of vanilla. A pleasant gourmand fragrance. The scent opens with a burst of spicy cinnamon and nutmeg, settling into a pleasing heart of oud and jasmine. The citrus notes are not that noticeable to my nose. Its longevity and sillage are impressive. It lasts 12 hours on my skin and projects strongly for at least half that time. It lasts much longer on clothes. The oud can smell a bit barnyardy at times on the final skin phase. It’s not offensive, but has a sort of hay note, bordering on animalic smell to it, which can be covered up with an additional spray. I tend to be a heavy sprayer with my fragrances, but this is one I keep to about 3 sprays as it’s quite strong. Great for evening wear or special occasions. The skin scent that lingers is oud, sandalwood and the amber notes. Overall, 24 Gold Oud Edition is a sophisticated and opulent choice for those who appreciate deep and strong middle eastern fragrances. A nice one for winter. There’s a sweetness that lasts throughout the scent phases. Its more masculine than feminine in my view. More for a mature 30-year-plus consumer. Not a safe blind buy. Some people might find it too strong or a bit cloying.

My take on a flanker from the powerhouse of the 24 GOLD... I will iterate... "You got your 1 Million in my 24 Gold"! "You got your 24 Gold in my 1 Million"! Yes, 24 Gold OUD edition is what alot of reviewers have said below... a woodier spicier more masculant scent with just a tad more oudier vibe. I really think it is bottle worthy even if you own the original as long as your impressed with 1 Millians DNA... 24 Gold OUD still has that Amber Bomb background just toned down a bit leaving room for the added spices and woods. With that said... I feel 24 Gold OUD is offering what I felt was missing in 1 Million. I get a slight bubblegum in the opening. Which leads you into an effervescent spiced powder donut and cinnabon vibe conbined with the spiced vanillac amber coming in and lasting through the drydown. More like the original in this stage with a bit more sweetened oud as a backbone. I really was impressed the the origional 24 Golds take on Amber... Wow, it has proven to be a timeless masterpiece! As the flanker 24 Gold OUD is not quite as beastly, I am still very impressed with how Scent Story didn't ruin its DNA, but tweeking and adding to its ambience...

As someone who considers the original 24 Gold to be a masterpiece I had high expectations for this one and was not disappointed. This has the 24 Gold DNA with cinnamon and toned-down sweetness, making this a little more masculine than the original. Strangely, I detect more oud in the original than I do Oud Edition but this smells a little more similar to some mainstream designers (One Million, Spicebomb) than it does to 24 Gold. Don't get me wrong though, this is its own scent and is not a clone of any of the aforementioned scents, it just shares a similar vibe. Performance is great, if not quite the beast that 24 Gold is. If you enjoy the original 24 Gold, then 24 Oud Edition is different enough not to be a redundant purchase and should fit nicely alongside its cousin. Performance: 8.5/10 - Not the beast that 24 Gold is, but solidly above-average to excellent performance. Overall Scent: 8.5/10 - This isn't as beautiful or groundbreaking as its cousin, but is a solid Fall/Winter scent that outdoes many in its price range. Different enough to warrant a spot in your wardrobe for 24 Gold lovers out there.

This just came in the mail recently and MAN it is amazing!!! I was lucky enough to get a 3.4oz for around $40 online. First off. Unbelievable smell. It does in fact, remind me a lot of Paco Rabanne 1 Million which I have always been 50/50 with. On one hand, I like Paco Rabanne 1 Million, on the other, it has something that I just can't get past and bring myself to actually purchase it. To me, 24 Gold Oud Edition is what I would describe as the FIX to what I didn't like in Paco Rabanne 1 Million. I hope that's not too perplexing but that is the best way I can describe it in my experience. With 24 Gold Oud Edition, the smell, performance, and longevity are all TOP TIER through and through with that uniqueness and zeal that you find in a lot of middle eastern fragrances. It comes across as gourmandish, rosey and the oud is present. Very strong, frag grenade of a fragrance. This is 100% unisex and does not lean feminine or masculine in my opinion. It is smack dab in the middle. One of my top favorites. 10/10 fragrance Nuff said.

24 Gold Oud Edition DNA is similar to Thierry's A*Men Pure Havane . When I first sprayed it on my skin it has that sweet creamy vib coming from vanilla and amber. Afterwards the cinnamon note comes giving it a slight spicy blend with the sweet scent becomes less pronounced. I like a strong masculine aroma I personally would referred the a guaiac wood be more prominent in the makeup of this juice. Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting over 8hrs Finally thoughts, Being a blind purchase, I'm very pleased with this juice. The woodsy notes is what makes this juice a dark, mysterious with a sex appeal. I also agree with review below, there not close at all in aroma. In my book both 24 Gold and Oud Edition are made very well. 7.5/10

Having bought & loved the 24 Gold, I order a sample of this. IT IS AMAZING! it is a mix between 24 gold+Spice Bomb+1 million. I say this not in a bad way, it is not a clone or something like that, just that if you like those perfumes you would love this one. the 25 Gold DNA is present and it intensifies in the dry down. doing a side by side comparison between 24 gold and the 24 Oud, I find the Oud version more masculine. Recommendation: buy both!

This fragrance smells extremely similar to Xerjoff Alexandria II layered with Issey Miyake Noir Ambré. I only know this because I own all three and I accidentally layered Noir Ambré with Alexandria II today and realized that it smelled extremely similar to something I own and that was literally 24 Gold Oud Edition. This is the best fragrance in the 24 line in my opinion. So sad that it's almost impossible to find now.

This is safe as a blind buy (if you are ok with oud and sweet scents). For me it smells like 1 million paco rabanne mixed with oud, except that it projects waayy more and lasts waayy longer than 1 million.. I don't think I will ever buy 1 million again with this around ! As others have mentioned 1-2 sprays max are enough, and better for cooler weather. Just buy it! :D

This is become my staple for days when i dont want to carry an atomizer but i want to make sure that i smell good even after 18hrs . As the name suggests, it has oud which makes it different and better than the original GOLD, less sweet in the intial few hours and more on the creamy and woody side. A must have.

Having smelled both 24 Gold and Gold Oud, the natural starting point is to compare Gold Oud to Gold, and I did this by trying one on each wrist. Gold is obviously a sweet gourmand and seems be by far the most popular fragrance in the 24 line. I'd argue that Gold Oud's deviation from its predecessor is pretty limited--say, 25%--so they're very similar in terms of their smell and generally vibe. However, while Gold is a breakfasty, syrupy gourmand in a more purely sweet sense, Gold Oud is understandably much spicier and is more of a mixed bag. I don't detect very much oud itself in Gold Oud, but just a noticeably longer spiciness--the pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg in the top notes listing could certainly account for this. Gold Oud isn't just spicier in its opening, though, but also throughout its lifespan. Most of the heart and base notes are pretty neutral (it has a similar amber-based dry down to Gold) but it definitely retains some of the spiciness that distingiushes it from Gold, and that respect, it must be the oud that I'm smelling that separates it from Gold. So it's understandable that Gold's simplicity as a gourmand have made it more of winner and that Gold Oud may be found by many as overwhelming, because it gives the strength, spiciness, and sweetness. I prefer the original slightly but Gold Oud is fantastic in its own right. And both are powerhouses, strong in both projection and longevity. Great value for the money (each ring in at $65 for 100ml on FragranceX, though I was able to buy Gold Oud for a third less on BeautySpin), as well. These are mainly useful in the colder weather and should be sprayed sparingly. I regard both as versatile between formal and informal, night and day, but I'm assuming preferences on this could vary. 7 out of 10

Well, I just got this and the regular edition in the mail. I honestly never pay attention to what people say in terms of me making my purchase be my nose is my nose. I did however for some reason think this was just going to be a amped up version of of the original, which is in my top 10 so I got them both since fragrancex just notified me they are back in stock. Tooooooo strong. If this was toned down I may feel different about it. I am not one to make myself like a frag. My nose changes from time to time but that's different. Perhaps I will feel different in the cold weather as I soundly would not dare to wear this in the high heat. It's would knock everyone down. Scent 7/10 Projection 10/10 Longevity 10/10 I do see the similarities from one million, although I think one million is done better. I'll probably end up selling this by the 5ml on eBay to get my money back not very impressed unlike the original .....

I had to warm up to this one initially. I knew that I liked the mix of sweet and spiciness, especially with the cinnamon and vanilla at the front, but the underlying oud and musk made this one challenging for me. Today I decided to give it another go before the weather got too warm and sprayed conservatively with some distance. Incredible. Everything blends very well. It smells like a luxurious trip to the Middle East even though this was a very inexpensive purchase. It's marketed as unisex but I think the musk and woods make this a very masculine leaning fragrance. Very strong with nuclear performance, so it probably works best in cold weather.

My opinion falls along the lines of most others: This is essentially the original 24 Gold with a tweak. Without question, the original 24 Gold DNA is evident, however the Oud edition isn't quite as "bright" in its scent. I smell cinnamon but it doesn't seem they've added more to the formula. The most evident change (although only slight) is that it's tempered with more woods, making it far more similar to Halston Amber Man. This is a good fragrance but personally, I see no need to own the original 24 Gold and this one, due to the similarity between them. If I had to choose one, I'd stick with the original.

Similar to the original with more emphasis on the oud. Still pretty sweet but the more woody tone makes it more masculine. Still unisex though. A good starter oud. Gives a good feel for the note without spending a fortune. Sillage and lasting power as good as the original.

This one is a much more feminine version of 24 gold. Some might say it is more spicy but I would say that this is even sweeter than the original one. It smells really nice though, perhaps even better than the original one but on girls. Very feminine!

The oriental Oud vanilla mix. Sweet but not overly sweet. Cinnamon adds the spicy touch to it. In the same vein as Arabian Oud Sehr Al Kalemat. Great performance. Longevity 9/10 Projection 8/10 Silage 8/10 Price 10/10

This was so strong it had me scrubbing it off on my fist wearing. Since then I wore the fragrance bit and then ended up trading it for Oud Aswad which is a better oud fragrance.

This was a blind buy that didn't turn out a succes. Everywhere I read these 24 fragrances are unisex, but this is soooo masculin, I can't really see any woman wearing this. The longevity is .... endless! When sprayed on clothes you will need to wash them twice to get the perfume out. When applied on skin it last 12+ hours. I don't know if it is the oud but there is definately something that makes this smell like a turbo version of One Million Intense on speed! Nostril burning stuff....

While filling my shopping cart with fragrances, I needed to meet minimum purchase for free shipping and this is how 24 Oud Edition ended up in my hands. It seemed interesting enough, but I have learned once again to be more skeptical of synthetic Oud. Glad I didn't pay much for it. First slapped in the face with a scratchy, acrid appeal and then later embittered by alcoholic base notes.

Super feminine. Not my cup of tea - smells similar to one of the Britney spears perfumes. Synthetic sweetness. Just not a fan at all. Don't understand the hype for this. More power to those who enjoy it. 3/10

Beat out the other ouds when shopping at a perfume counter. Unfortunately, I quickly became sick of it. Even now, in winter, I avoid it. I've noticed this only happens to me with synthetics.

Smells potent, sweet and cheap

Right, I'm about to ace this review: Take the original, give it a more reserved, more mature character without losing any of its ridiculous Chernobyl performance. All the sweetness included, the synthetic oud note is more dry than the OG's chocolatey take. You can absolutely feel the influence of cinnamon and nutmeg. You can absolutely feel what the tangerine is doing without necessarily detecting it as a note. Even almond-esque vibes with minimal metallic nuance. Undeniably masculine. Undeniably loud in performance even with its more mature character. Undeniably a sweet, honey'd, woody amber-oud with spices and a slightly addictive skank. It dries down into an oddly soapy designer scent. But, BUT, just like the original... I'd be sick of it if I wore it two days in a row. This is occasional cold weather vibes, interested to wear both when it starts to snow.

First impressions. Sticky sweet and strong spicy blast in the vein of Spicebomb and One Million. Gourmandish and abstract at the same time, like an edible shower gel. Not unpleasant, but not something I'd ever wear, since I'm not a sweet tooth. I don't get the oud, though. There is some general woodiness combined with the amber accord. And I do get the birch plus pink pepper accord that seems to be very similar to Givenchy Gentlemen Only. But there is no depth or darkness to the woody facet. It's all about the sweet and spicy ambery glow that in itself is quite unisex. From the outset, seems to be very potent.

Used this after trying 24 gold at a friends, oud edition is an amplified and strong version of 24 gold, it makes a statement and has manliness in it while 24 gold would easily be characterised under womens fragrance. Now coming to the notes it opens sweet and i can even smell roses and oud in the background with gourmand notes. It does last more than 10hrs. I was on the bed with my gf and when she put her head on my chest she said ohh u smell soo great feel like biting u, and she repeated the same thing few hrs later as well.

I must've written the review and rewrote it twice now... I really don't know how else to say this, but this is really not good, smells cheap and awkward, reminds me of the synthetic burnt sugar of Leather Krem; not a good buy even if it was half the [already low] price, and if the original 24 Gold resembles this then that one must've been hyped up for nothing too... Definitely not one of those "niche quality for lower than commercial price" case -.-

This is arguable my strongest cologne. 2 sprays and you can smell this from everywhere. Be careful with application. It smells a lot of synthetic oud but in these days it’s difficult to see a cologne that doesn’t have the synthetic appeal. This is actually more masculine than the original 24. I think it’s more potent and more noticeable that 24 too. This is a must buy as I can say I don’t regret buying it and I don’t think anyone would

Imagine you're in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. It's getting dark out so you decide to start a fire in the fireplace. You try, and you try, and you try, but nothing.....no fire, just smoke. You rest for a while and decide to give it one more try before you turn in for the night. Success! A warm fire to fall asleep in front of. That's what this smells like. Enjoy.

You got your 1 Million in my 24 Gold! You got your 24 Gold in my 1 Million! Good stuff but the initial blast gives me the above impression. Dry down seems to project less than the original 24 Gold and is spicier and richer. The oud component seems as subtle here as it does in the original composition and is not detectable after the first hour or so.

My short review: The original 1 million rendered with the Arabic richness of D&G The One Luminous Night. I much prefer Gold Oud to 1 million due to this richness, and it manages to avoid the (imo, I know I'm the minority on this one) cloying sweetness of Luminous Night so prefer it over that, too. Wonderful stuff, glad to have multiple bottles.

ScentStory happens to take the fan-favorite Original 24, and amps it up to 5-o-clock by incorporating oud. With the new addition of oud, the scent gradually envelops to something far more gritty and masculine, but at the same time creating something ideally unique. Full review soon. Do not underestimate this stuff; NUCLEAR performance!

Where you can buy it for a cheap price??? Why reviewers says it's dirt cheap (the same with all other 24 frag) I've just see this frag sell at 100$ All over the web, and I don't consider it cheap! Cheap for me is 50$ and under! Can you guys send me a link or a store with a real cheap price please! I live in Canada!

Just tried a sample of this. Really nice. I have not tired the original, but Oud edition is really nice. For the price this is one of the best deals on a fragrance I have seen. Could easily be worn by a man or a woman.

It's a mixture between 1 Million Absolutely Gold and 24 Gold. I have them both at home. Mix the two together and out comes the Oud Edition. Strong and long lasting. But the original 24 Gold smells much better.

Amber and Vanila at the begining. Sweetness covered up with Oud brings the manliness to this legend. Its tangy, strong and complement generator. A close peer to Kalemat Black. Must owned by a Oud lover.

Middle eastern style SPL,massive Sillage&Projection. The scent is not too Arabic,yes it has Oud but in "paris" style. If you own a Mancera and you want more Beastmode,24 Gold oud is the perfect choice

The cheapest in my collection but the juice in 24 Gold Oud is beast mode. 12+ hours on my skin and more on my clothes. Love the vanilla and cinnamon notes

Just tested this on skin. A slightly toned down version of Arabian Oud Kalemat Black. Still a solid fragrance on it's own.

I really like it, it lasts ages, adds a sweet oud note around me.
