24 Ice Gold

I just unboxed this (brand new today), and low and behold, from the sprayer I could smell a ripe apple! Well I sprayed it and definetly could smell the apple note that burns off in a minute or 2 and goes right into the Light Blue for women aroma (not that I disapprove, I love and own that fragrance). Although I love how it smells, I wished the apple note would have continued throughout the life of the fragrance to really set itself apart from LB. It comes in a nice frosted bottle with a gold cap as shown. I can't speak to performance because I just opened it and sprayed the back of my right hand, however, as of now it is jumping off my skin. I will hopefully remember to update my opinion regarding performance. So far it isn't getting points for originality, but I will keep an open minded on my LB 2.0 bottle. I just realized the similar appearance between this bottle and my bottle of LB (frosted, not clear bottles). I do like the contrast with the color of juice against the frosted bottle. Anyway, happy Sniffing folks! UPDATE: 4/28/17 This fragrance has great staying power to be a fraichie. I spritzed this at 9AM, it is now 5:49PM and it is still going. I have received a lot of compliments today on this as it projects nicely with nice sillage. I have been told that the fragrance lingers. I keep getting frequent whiffs of my scent cloud, and I like it! This is better than I thought it was. Just goes to show a squirt on the arm or wrists doesn't work all the time. Sometime you have to spritz your shirt, arms and neck. LOL. I will start spraying Light Blue (W), Versace Eau Fraiche and I love love to keep from using this up. Recommended.

#916 in my "Tour de Fragrance" It's unfortunate that the ScentStory 24 line is more and more difficult to find. But that makes sense as the show "24" ended it's run in 2014. Despite global syndication it's not on the air here, which is too bad as I probably missed the majority of the 204 episodes. Seems wild it would launch an entire line of gimmick men's scents, even wilder that they are all so good. And this scent, impossible to find now, is no exception. Though this gets compared to D&G Light Blue the patchouli in this scent actually makes it an improvement over Light Blue for me. I gave the Light Blue away. This is a keeper. Fruity, fresh, but not all sharp citrus. In that regard it resembles Versace Man Eau Fraiche which I desperately wanted Versace to release as an EDP until I found Armaf "Aura Fresh." If you've had this and wish you could find it again I would recommend the Armaf "Aura Fresh" as a substitute. But if you do luck across a bottle of this (even eBay scalpers don't have it anymore) it's car pool, elevator and small office safe, Summer day wear I think, but attractive enough for date wear.

24 Ice Gold is my go-to for hot Dallas, Texas summer days... excellent citrus fragrance which seems to stick around for hours! I get lemon citrus with this and it's definitely unisex. As a guy, I can comfortably wear this in the heat and know that I'm smelling good, definitely suitable for outdoor summer dates (day/or night). As other reviews have mentioned, this is very similar to D&G Light Blue for women (which I also happen to own). I gave the D&G away because they are so similar (and ice gold is a little more masculine and longer lasting on me). It's a compliment getter for sure and one to definitely look into if you like the 24 line.

A definition of fresh and clean. Juicy citrus opening of orange peel, apple and cooling bergamot, complimented by sweet jasmine and clean musk. The opening is simply sublime, very realistic and natural smelling, airy and cooling. Also on skin it is sweeter, while on clothes it smells very green and on clothes the scent stays for days. The scent is absolutely unisex and have similarities to Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Iced by Hugo Boss. I love it, it is my favorite from the house next to 24 Elixir Neroli. Just received the sample. Wow this is an amazing scent. Its a whole new line of 24 by scentstory. Floral sweet aromatic type of Fragrance. Not heavy on floral type but the bergamote and jasmine and apple is just right.it has rose but not strong. This can be on hermes un jardin line. Got that vibe of garden smell then walking on fruit stand. Very elegant scent. Perfect on spring. Btw their is more than 3 notes in this Fragrance. Longevity is great.

To me, this is a homerun. I haven't been a big fan of the other 24's I've tried - but this one is legit. I can see how it would be marketed as unisex - but I feel that it's totally applicable to a man. This stuff is sweet, juicy and creamy. It's good stuff and immediately goes to the top of my summer Arsenal. 7/10

Oh wow. This is just incredible and I rarely say that about a perfume. It's a gold lemon sherbet with a fruit dib-dab lolly. Very classy.

This smells just like Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue for woman on my skin. I can't believe the Sandalwood note is not part of this fragrance.

9/10.. awesome.. smells 90% like armaf tag her.. never smelt Dolce Gabbana Light Blue for her so I can't compare.

Bergamot and jasmine all the way through. a one trick pony all the way through but it does it so damn well.

24 Ice Gold = PDM Greenley. Side by side almost identical. Awesome for summer.

Finally sampling ScentStory 24 Ice Gold, a long overdue try from the now-discontinued 24 line (that is still available), and as the “ice” moniker usually goes, Ice Gold is a fresh, sharp, citrus-dominant fragrance, quite different from most of the 24 line that preceded, much closer to the original 24 than Go Dark, Platinum, or Gold. Ice Gold avoids the orange zest dominance of other “icy” fragrances, specifically, and feels more like a lemon/bergamot-dominant citrus opening, with plenty of woods, as well as unsurprisingly listed notes of ambroxan and white musk, as it has that rather clean dry down. And there is just a touch of apple in the mix to keep things a bit more interesting that a formulaic freshie. Still, this is an easy formula to like and enjoy, and it’s an easy fragrance to wear, but it just fails to dazzle beyond being good. Still, what’s not to like? This just feels like an easy winner on a hot day, especially, Ice Gold is EDT concentration and performs decently, and is sold via FragranceX at $55 for 100ml, not a bad price, though other versions like Gold and Rise of the Superb are much better values on account of their being more creative and higher-performing. 7 out of 10

A suprisingly solid summer fragrance (let down by, imo, unattractive packaging and poor brand recognition). I have to be honest, my first impression of 24 was a cheapo brand making 'inspired' knock-offs of more established designer perfume houses. Appearances aside, I find 24 Ice Gold to be quite outstanding in its own right. The bitter orange/orange peel + apple opening is wonderful and i daresay its projection is even better than my Bvlgari Aqua Amara. The difference being that Amara smells more broody and sophisticated (late noon, sunset) while Ice Gold smells a bit more playful (early morning sun). 24 Ice Gold is definitely a good pick for a hot sunny day if you want to feel fresh, joyful and just genuinely happy. Imo, it's a youthful (not young) scent for ages 20-late 30s. Unisex all the way. Wish the bottle was more visually appealing, but as far as summer fragrances go, you can't miss with this one. 8/10

At first I didn’t like the combination of juicy, fruity top notes and dry, woody base notes in this. They seemed to clash, like conflicting sharp and flat harmonies. But the way they mingle has kind of grown on me. Now, I find that slightly atonal quality is what makes the fragrance interesting and enjoyable. It’s smooth yet juicy, earthy yet fresh. It evokes both the heat of a summer day and the delicious coolness of a summer refreshment. It makes me think of a man at the beach, drinking a Sprite & strawberry slush from the concession and casually building a sand castle while his kids play in the water. It’s easygoing, it’s friendly, but it has its nuances. Very much a summer fragrance, and leans masculine, though a woman could easily wear it too.

Nice Scent lacks creativity I kindly received a sample last night.. I tested this out this morning.. It smells nice.. nothing ground breaking just your (kinda boring) blue aquatic freshie.. I was hoping the cedar note would be more prevalent but its not.. I have plenty of blue frieshies that I like more than this one.. Easy reach.. its discontinued and hard to find.. and its enjoyable for all seasons and all occasions.. I wouldnt go out of my way to seek this out.. Its a like for me.. 7.9/10

Got my samples of 24 Ice Gold in the mail today. They give you nice sized 3 ML sprayers. So I got almost 10 MLs for $9.00 shipped... As far as the scent - I definitely get the Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue DNA in the scent but there is something else, too. One of the reviews I saw mentioned that this is a gourmand but it doesn't smell that way to me at all. To my nose it's strictly a warm weather scent. A damn good one. I'll rock it next spring/summer...

No, this does not smell like Pacific Rock Moss. If you came to this page thinking you'd find a dupe, you have been lied to. My apologies. That being said, this is a very nice synthetic sweet aquatic scent that could not be more unisex if it tried. It is very 'now', very hip, very fresh, which makes it just a little too young for me personally. It really does live up to the icy fresh image - it's super cool.

Smells close to DG light blue for women. The opening is great, but then the floral takes over in the mid.

Smells like Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue intense's initial part (not the OG). The perfume is on the lighter side. you only smell Apple; cetalox didn't show up. The perfume disappeared in half hour. This was a major let down. Things like that happen and you agree cheap is cheap. I wish I would have paid those extra 10$ and bought light blue instead. Do check the profile of person and their perfume choices before taking their opinion seriously.

Another overhyped perfume. This is Feminine. Maybe Unisex.. I don`t like it. The performance and price-value proposition is good though. However, not all scents are for everyone. SOme of my known fragheads love it. But for me. its just Mehh..!! Fragrances are subjective. Try before you buy.

This is an odd one. Ice Gold more or less wears like a fragrance of two distinct layers. The top layer is very much a bright, iced fruity concoction--more specifically lime, apple and what seems like a red, fruit punch kind of note. There are some softer floral notes blended in, and the women's "Light Blue" comparison is for good reason. The top layer comes out with quite a blast, and retains its bright, icy character for some time. While it's good, this is a pretty normal way to begin the scent. However Ice Gold's strangeness exists in the second layer. While there is a pretty apparent woody/cedar musk in the base, there is also a fairly strong "butter popcorn" note, which becomes dominant during the fragrance's second half. But especially while they're both working together, this makes Iced Gold sort of bizarre--more or less iced fruit over butter popcorn with woody/musky accents. The butter popcorn aspect feels warm and, well, buttery, with a smooth, mellow finish. It's quite a contrast to the much colder top layer. I'm not sure how I feel about this one overall. I like its fruity aspect--I think they did a great job of creating an icy, frozen fruit accord, but the base catches me by surprise and throws me off every time I wear it. I don't know, maybe I'm the only one getting "buttered popcorn" from this, but it will take a few more wears for me to decide if it's something I really enjoy in the end or just a weird twist that feels out-of-place in the greater context of the scent. Until then, I can certainly say that Ice Gold is unique enough, and that its performance is excellent, with both solid projection and longevity. I'll probably update this review with a final verdict after the summer. As of now, I'd say that it's definitely worth sampling.

I agree with melzy (below) that the notes listed for Ice Gold could not be any more wrong. On to my thoughts. It took me a while (ie. about a half hour after spraying this on my arm) to remember why this is so familiar. To my nose this is a dupe of Atelier's Cedre Atlas. It has that juicy fruity top (the apricot in Atlas) and a generous dose of ISO E Super. It's a very smooth, juicy, and inoffensive scent. It's unisex but slightly leans feminine to my nose. As of this writing (Aug 2017), Ice Gold is about 40% the price of Cedre Atlas. They both smells so close to one another that I would find it difficult distinguishing the two. I see no reason to recommend purchasing Atlas when the same scent can be had for much less with Ice Gold.

Incorrect database information strikes again. Top Notes: Apple, Red Fruits, Bergamot. Middle Notes: Rose, Jasmine, Cedar Wood. Base Notes: Ambrox, Patchouli, White Musk. Group/Category: Citrus Aromatic. A sparkly, fresh summer scent. Definitely reminiscent of Light Blue, but leaning ever so slightly more masculine. My skin amplifies the Bergamot, Woods and Musk. Drydown very musky. Personally, both sillage and longevity were moderate, but your results may vary. Didn't like it enough to rush out and purchase a bottle though. All in all it's a pleasant, brighter addition to the 24 line. Am keen to try the other three 24 fragrances that were recently announced, then pulled almost immediately: Elixirs Azur, Ambrosia and Neroli.

I agree that I think there are more notes than listed. Whatever the case as for what I get, I think the name is fitting in terms of ice in that I deff get that sorta freezer burn note that some woody notes can come off of especially with the citrus and fruity notes combined. Sorta like some frozen fruits, on a frostbitten cutting board, with a slight bit of creaminess in the background. It sortaaaaaa reminds me of something like a sherbet almost as well but not quite. Performance was fine for what it was, but its not really my thing per say, but its wearable and pleasant smelling but I don't feel inclined to own it.

The female version of Dolce & Gabanna light blue is far better then the men’s version in my opinion, so when I smelled this it’s amazing. If you’re looking for a cheaper version of this try Armaf’s Tag for her. It’s near identical and you can get it for 25$. Unfortunately with this exact type of citrus flower scent longevity becomes an issue. It’s definitely a summer scent, but on my skin I only get a couple of hours. If only this lasted longer this would be one of my all time favourite scents. 8/10

24 Ice gold by Scentstory is a lovely fresh summer fragrance & is great value for money, whenever I’m wearing this fragrance both men & women sniff me & ask what I’m wearing because they love it, it’s honestly one of the most fresh, safe, cheap fragrances you can buy, couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The first time I smelled D&G light blue for women I thought Hmmmmm! This isn’t too bad. Could I, as a male pull this off? I then disregard it and moved on. Fast forward and we have 24 Ice and yes, since it’s marketed to “women and men” I think I could in fact pull it off.

Wow!! what a great scent makes me think of being in a fruit and flower orchard and getting hit with all the different scents very fresh, uplifting and clean, perfect for spring and summer. 8/10.

When wearing this lovely juice in Thailand & Cambodia I was being followed by a bunch of western (tourists) & local young ladies !!

For anyone who loves this discontinued gem, there’s an exact copy of this by Frank Olivier called Sun Java blue
