Per Se

What an impressive beautiful laundry detergent scent. You will smell fresh even on the most hot sweaty day. Initial blast is a bit overwhelming, but it is well worth it. It is insane how well it last on the skin! Sillage is not massive, but perfectly noticeable. It is really one of the top scents with such fresh beautiful profile. Also, I'm not a fan of violets in perfume and I do not detect them here, so don't be afraid to try if you are like me. Much recommended ❤️ Update: we have had very hot weather recently and Per Se performed beautifully. Yes, initial blast is a bit sharp but soon passes. And then you just smell beautiful, clean for hours, no matter how sweaty you are. Event wore to an outdoors festival, with no showers, only a lake, sleeping in a hot tent, etc. And it made me feel so clean and fresh. Top notch, beats many other clean scents in lasting power and cleanliness/freshness.

The perfect clean-laundry scent. I have been looking for this perfume without knowing it existed. It is indeed similar to others perfumes in this category, but, for some reason, it just click, fits perfectly. Where others seemed fine this stands out. It is hard to describe, because those sopay-laundry clean scents have almost all the same profile, but this one has a beauty I just can find in it. It is clean, laundry like, but also has something else, something bright, elegant. It is not as sharp as others, and also stays on the category of clean perfume without adding some other nuance or note that turns it into some other profile. Blanche is sharp. Sun Bleached is sunny. Love-O-Matic is bubbly. Bubble Bath is creamy. White Crush is savoury. But this one is pure and bright cleanliness. Perfection in the kingdom of soapy clean perfumes.

I can understand the Blanche comparison, but if you’re chasing that true soapy, laundry-detergent DNA, this isn’t it. I didn’t catch that at first, but revisiting it a few weeks later and doing a side-by-side on each arm, it’s clear why so many people push back on the comparison. That said, I actually prefer this—and I think you will too if you love iris/orris. On my skin, the orris really shines, taking on a slightly papery quality with a soft, almost leathery nuance (as another reviewer noted). For those reasons, Per Se holds the top spot for me in the musky, aldehydic, airy, laundry-adjacent category.

This is a bright and soapy aldehydic woody scent. 2787 smells clean, mature, sophisticated and beautiful. For me, it leans more feminine. The house is unknown to me but I really like this! The performance is good for the scent profile but the price point is very high!

a beautifully done and crafted clean olfactive profile with hints of green elements from the bamboo, this is one of my favorite perfumes i have come across in a long time.

In love with Per sè! It’s such a clean sweet soapy perfume. I really like the dry down, similar to White Crush by Obvious.

A super-duper aldehydic opening with a chalky iris. The comparisons to BB make perfect sense, but within that laundry-detergent-vibe territory, this might be one of the softest and most balanced aldehydic profiles I’ve smelled. I think the success comes from the generous amount of airy, lightly earthy iris and the clean-musky ambrette. And since I already like this style, it inevitably turns into one of my favorites. It fits the clean-girl aesthetic perfectly. Best of all, there’s no unnecessary sweetness. Tag(s): super clean, laundry, powdery, chalky iris

Freshly laundered linen with floral conditioner. I’m not a big fan of aldehydes, but this fragrance grabbed my attention. It’s really fresh and long-lasting at the same time. And without unnecessary sweetness! A good option for a hot summer day. But! Not for a blind buy!

- Blanche, is it you? This one is definitely Blanche. 27 87 priced at 250€ for 87ml is even more expensive than Byredo's 100ml. So I would go for Blanche. I haven't compared them side by side, but it's definitely a 95% similarity.

yes, it is similar to Blanche, but better. Per Se is not as sweet or heavy. Very CLEAN and soapy, ina good way. Good projection. More of a daytime scent for me.

A bit too subtle for me, the smell disappears.

I bought a decant sample of 27 87's Per Se from a reputable source. I LOVED the opening of this fragrance, which gives similar powdery pencil shavings vibe of Diptyque's Fleur de Peau EDP. To my great disappointment, the longer it dries down, it gives industrial wood that I find really displeasing. This dry down is in many fragrances these days. So I assume lots of people love it. But it's not for me. I'll stick with my bottle of Fleur de Peau EDP. I have a bottle of Byredo's Blanche, that is another favorite of mine. I disagree with other reviewers that Per Se smells like Blanche. Yes, they both have a clean vibe from aldehydes. But to my nose Blanche is an airy floral accord, whereas Per Se is an airy wood accord. 🦋🧡🦋

I blind purchased this limited edition scent “Per Se” by 27 87 and it has been a bit of a let down. The scent is in one word, basic. This one dimensional scent reminds me of a cheapie that I used to own called Fresh Laundry by Clean Beauty and smells like, well, clean fresh laundry. Definitely not worth the price tag imho and not a scent I would care to wear out. I can see myself using this at bedtime or while lounging at home. Sillage and longevity is decent. Get this if you love the scent of dryer sheets. My 30ml bottle will stay on my nightstand 🌙 ☁️

As this perfume is performing on my skin the sharp green and very intense aldehydes are overpowering. The initial spray was a beautiful blend, and I could smell the iris. Started soft, clean, multifaceted. But my skin chemistry sends this into pink pepper, aldehydes and green bamboo into overdrive. I think this might be a few skin test to see where I actually land with this one. It has very good projection. For a fresh clean scent with some punch ....

The black/pink peper and whatever spices are there ruined the opening. You have to wait hours before it settles down to the white fragrance ADN of the clean/sopay/laundry scent. Couleurs primaires or Bublle Bath are better

Extremely similar to the mentioned "this perfume reminds me of". Not to Blanche that much, but to Marseille or Acne Studios. One of those clean, laundry detergent scents.

Old same Blanche. Was it necessary to create this one?

Not my favorite. I actually love aldehydes but the combo of this one with the violet was not it for me. It kind of smelled like Lysol mixed with pennies on my skin.
