Wandervogel

This is my signature scent. I purchased this in Italy on a trip and I’m so glad I did. It’s cool, refreshing and layered. Mint is typically a hard note to carry as it can be over powering but the mint does not last throughout the dry down and wear. It’s marine and aquatic for most of is life, which is quite long for such a gentle perfume. It’s also not a scent that you lose. It slowly fades into your skin which gives it an appeal to the wearer that it’s for you. This fragrance started my journey to find and try as many mint fragrances as I can. It’s hard to retain that cool feeling in a perfume but Wandervogel captures that in the whole profile. It’s not a safe blind buy though. You have to like mint, green, garden stalks because those will be your first notes and if you can’t get over that, you’ll never like it. It’s also not something I layer. I can get away with this for hours and it’s best in the summer. I have not found this sold anywhere in the US so if you find it, and you like it, snag it quickly. I also have not been able to try any other scents from this house and that makes me sad because they have such unique fragrances. Ultimately, a fresh, mint heavy, marine scent that is perfectly unisex and worth every penny. Smell it before you buy it and if you buy it, get me an extra bottle! 😉

Fragrance with a truly 3D effect. When I apply it to my skin, it feels like I've returned to a hotel room after a hot day at the beach, taken a shower, and applied a refreshing balm to my skin. I can literally feel a contrast of warmth and coolness and the texture of a refreshing gel. Another thing its reminds me about is a gentle breeze on the first warm days of spring. If you overdo it, you might get a note of minty, but in a reasonable amount of sprays, it's a very calming, delicate, and positive scent. Despite embodying coolness, ironically, it performs best in winter, somewhere around -5 degrees Celsius, then it lasts up to 6 hours. I took it on vacation to Portugal, where it was +20, and it disappeared within an hour. Still happy that I took it to Portugal, because the perfume is like an olfactory symbol of traveling, freedom, happiness and calmness. It's for days when you don't have to wear coat, heavy boots, for days when you can see the ocean... or for days when you want to smell something which would remind you of all of this. "See the world from a different perspective, create infinite memories and get to know the unknown" is a slogan of this perfume and it does speak for itself.

Okay, after near 10 years of testing this out at every crossing, I think it's fair to say this is one of those fragrances that deserves the label "niche". It's a masterpiece of its genre. One of the best, if not the best, renditions of shiso that also lasts a long time without losing its core accord and integrity. Ultra green, apple sour-minty and slightly cuminic spicy, could as well be a mix of caraway and something sour, on a bed of human-skin like musks and cedarwood. Towards drydown the minty facet becomes almost like a Japanese onsen or spa in the midst of cypress and cedar trees, still cooling your nose but more lie eucalyptus or camphor. Drydown really reminds me of the whole of Jo Malone Hinoki & Cedarwood, another great relaxing scent if you like the profile. Wandervogel is much more innovative though, the sour apple-minty-spicy shiso note is perfected. Top fragrance IMO.

I absolutely love this fragrance, but I could not fathom spending over 200$ for a fragrance that doesn't last. I found a dupe that scratches the itch. I was going to gate keep, but I decided to post it under Wandervogals page. It is Walking in Porta Venezia by Trussardi. It won't let me post it in the reminds me of section, but they are so similar. There is no shisho in WPV but the anise with the bergamot give it that feel. Check it out.... It's so cheap on Jomashop that it's worth blind buying.

This is one of my favouritre perfumes. It is definately a summer scent for me, and the mint, fennel and white flower is a combination that in my opinion works so well. I have gotten a lot of positive comments while wearing it. The longevity is not that great though, wish it would stay on longer. But a nice fragrance, working perfectly with the summer breeze.

I'm always on the search for a fragrance that smells like walking into a greenhouse in a botanical garden. This is pretty close to that. I get mint, but in a aquatic kind of way. I enjoy it very much, especially for warmer weather.

Unusual, like all 27 87 perfumes. Mint, shiso and anis sound so great. The perfume has a slight marine aspect, not very pronounced but noticeable. Some Musk in the background. It's a great summer perfume, refreshing and soft.

Toothpaste mint poured as dressing to a green herbal salad !!! Interesting but not to wear as a perfume? Something to experiment perhaps, I like the creation itself!

Love it, just wish it lasted and projected longer. Have to apply it about every 2 hours, outside of that I give it a 4.5/5

This smells so good... In the air/ on the body, but good Lord it does not last more than 20 minutes if that!

It is a lovely discrete perfume. Unusual and fresh.

I got this sample in Esxence 2017, as I smelt so many heavy woody, oud, santal, flory fragrances before I came to 2787, I felt kinda like tired of the heavy scent. So when I smelt this one, I felt like very fresh and released and breezy and sunshine above my head. I really like this scent, there are not so many fragrance with strong scent of mint, so it is special to me. I tried Heeley Menthe Fraiche, and another mint scent by an american brand which I dont remenber its name now. Heeley Menthe Fraiche is a bitter mint scent, and Wandervogel is a very sweet mint like the chewing gum Double mint by Wrigley ́s which we eat a lot. If you like that flavour, you gonna like this scent. But It doesn ́t smell like a cheap fragrance at all. But to be honest, Wandervogel its scent of mint lasts less time than Menthe Fraiche on my skin. I tried these two at the same time. At the beginning, Wandervogel is definitely more delicious than Menthe Fraiche, it has a sweet mint as a top note, then it turnes to a sweet woody o musky o green maybe a little smoky scent, I don ́t know. It is just sweet from head to toe. Meanwhile my Menther Fraiche still has a strong scent of mint and lasts till the end and menther fraiche is more mature and maybe very good for the office It is definitely a good fragrance to me. very young, fresh and unique and fun, easy to wear and very breezy. but the price of Wandervogel is more expensive than Heeley and the scent of mint lasts much shorter time than menthe fraiche and to me this is the weakest part. So I am gonna buy one but I am still thinking when to buy it. Anyway I really love it and would like to find more articles about this brand and its fragrances

Opens with a pronounced spearmint note reminiscent of toothpaste. However, the toothpaste quickly fades and evolves into a green fennel/anise scent that is much more pleasant to my nose. A soft undercurrent of white florals adds some interest. Lovely in drydown, but I’m not sure I’m willing to put up with the toothpaste phase to get there. Edited to add: it turns out I am ok with the toothpaste phase in certain circumstances: I’ve been grabbing this a lot lately while I’ve been a bit sick. First I found it an incredibly soothing anti-nausea scent when I suffered a stomach bug. Later, when I came down with a summer cold, I also found it helpful to promote breathing and a clear head. To be clear, it does not smell medicinal at all, just fresh and soothing. It’s been so nice for my sick days that I’m purchasing a larger size to have on hand.

Man, I was so excited to see a lil 27 87 stand. Paper sample: spearmint and anise, a lil sweet, with a backing of clean but real sea water. Super fresh and nice and also marine without being stanky/seaweed-ey, really interesting and good stuff. Clean aquatic without being sterile, slightly sweet without being sugary or syrupy. My mother said it just smells like toothpaste, and while I do agree a part of it is a bit reminiscent of toothpaste, it's much more than that. The marine notes and anise-ness definetly set it apart. Her nose is sensitive to certain smells so the spearmint was probably amplified. Also wanted to add the spearmint gum comparisons aren't inaccurate.

Sweet mint, an aquatic feel, and anise. Yes, those are all there. This is a simple Mediterranean scent. The kind that makes you happy, and it’s quite gentle. Very fresh and soft. If it were a touch less sweet, it would be close to perfect for me, but I still liked it as it is. I don’t feel the need to over-explain it. It delivers exactly what its notes suggest. Mint toothpaste from a hotel. Unfortunately, it disappears almost instantly from my skin. The way I see it, it's a good option to go to the nearest store on a hot summer day and buy a bottle of mineral water.

Probably the weakest fragrance I have ever come across. From the beginning projection is almost nonexistent. No point talking about how it smells - it’s pretty good if you get really close.

Conflicted about this. On initial contact, it’s straight mint, very toiletry-coded, kind of like when you unpack your ziploc bag that went through TSA at the end of your trip and the first whiff of wet, clean scent hits you. As it mellows, it gets a spriggy sort of quality, kind of birchy and dry. At the tail end, you get a whisper of solar and ozonic notes: what I wish were the starring role of the fragrance but instead play second fiddle. Basically, clean and kind of woody. Not much else — and oh boy, so disappointing about the sillage and longevity considering the price point. It really varies for me, and I find it actually has the best longevity when mixed with another fragrance, weirdly. Edit: realizing what I don’t like about it is that it’s not moody in the way I expected. I was looking for lighthouse keeper and I got lifeguard. Oh well. There are other perfumes in the sea.

I blind buy the vial and I am not liking it at first but after several try, I am not hating it. It's fresh and masculine but can be potrayed as strong cool girl vibe. The mint and aquatic is showing on top notes and give a little bit of musk. Not bad but not my daily parfume.

Well, this is an odd scent. It opens with a mint note that makes it smell like weak toothpaste. Then it becomes a skin scent that smells like green aromatic sand with a light marine aspect. Not to my taste.

I don’t usually have strong negative opinion on scents, but this one strongly reminded me of minted flavored pod for “Juul”. Not the most pleasing smell, I would say...

The first whiff I got when I sprayed it on my wrist was a bit offensive and strong, the mix of anise and fennel, but it’s such a fresh and special scent once you get used to it. The only thing that is making me reconsider everything about it is that the two people I asked for an opinion audibly gagged after smelling my wrist. All in all I consider it a very fresh and green scents that reminds me a bit of those perfect spring field pictures on Pinterest, that are so perfect it seems a bit unsettling. It's a perfume worth buying if you enjoy freshness and photorealistic green notes that might seem harsh to the "untrained noses".

This evokes a very specific olfactory memory for me: it smells like one of those developed campgrounds, near the shower areas. Where there is mud from wet flip flops, buzzing flickering amber lights, moths and spiders, with a slight waft of mint toothpaste in the air. That might not sound appealing but it is quite nice. The shiso, fennel, and sea notes really give a lot of depth. I don't think I would wear this because I don't really like mint, but on the right person it could feel fresh and clean.

At first spray this smells like pure mint but I love the mint note after a few minutes it smells like future Society floating Forest but with anise. In the house I can't smell the anise but when I go outside and it's cold here in Michigan it smells like straight anise I love licorice so I really do like this and it smells different depending Where You Are and what the weather is so I wonder what this will smell like in the summer. It smells really strong to me. Not sure how long it lasts yet.

Toothpaste U Mint sugar free gum. It begins swinging between mint fresh toothpaste and sugar free wrigles estra gum, this remains for 2 to 3 minutes till the salty sand note begins to rise with hints of sea foam. The mint is too loud as if i'm eating a mint gum! I don't know wither it is the mint that loud and meant to be loud or the blend is unbalanced! even the shiso, i just can't detect it from the loudness of the mint!

green, aromatic, marine and bit flowery perfume, but it is very subtle. mint is not so cold, aromatic accord is calm, sea water is not so "90's", and flowers are not so opulent. I liked it on Esxence 2016 and I like it now. Maybe Hashtag is my favorite, but this one is just a fresh and tender breath when you are just tired of loud and heavy fragrances.

Dry mint, refreshing unsweetened mint tea. Airy. Fresh, subtle, quite natural, very safe, clean, minimalistic. I think it is incapable of irritating anyone or being strongly disliked. At first it seemed boring and uninteresting, but then I realized that it creates a rather pleasant, calm, meditative atmosphere.

The best shiso fragrance I have come across. This is wonderfully herbal with a water accord that brings out the realistic nature within the herbs. It’s peaceful and mineral. Nothing is out of balance yet it moves in and out of the different accords. Might soon say this is a masterpiece.

In Wandervogel, I like shizo leaves, very marine inpired, fresh mojito vibe. The mint here is soft spearmint. It has a cold watery feeling. I just realized that marines/aquatics are just not my cup of tea.

didn’t think i’d like this but it’s good! smells very green! very fresh, kind of smells like the grass just before the sand from the beach. love!

It smells like minty chewing gum to me, going to try wearing it again in warmer weather.
