Velour

My final sampling of the original trio of 27.9 Fragrance is Velour, a sweet and rich blend featuring prominent notes of cinnamon, almond, and cognac, with contributors of vanilla, woods, and rose, a mostly-gourmand, dense, sweet, spicy mix that’s quite pleasant and indulgent while not feeling overly intense or complex. It’s my favorite of the three releases from the house, unsurprising given that I’m a fan of gourmands, boozy scents, vanilla, and rose, so it really hits on a lot of marks and I’d quite enjoy wearing it in colder weather, especially, though it’s not too intense for wearing on a summer evening, I’d argue. It has a mildly citric syrupy smoothness that is oddly more present in the opening then fades a bit into a sharper dry down with more almond and cinnamon, the cognac sort of being the throughline between the two phases. Overall, I find it to be pretty outstanding, one of the best such scents that plays in this sort of boozy almond/cinnamon sandbox that’s so fun and explored, and it has a smoothness that makes it a bit unlike others that I’ve come across. As with the other fragrances in the line, concentration is EDP and pricing is $170 for 50ml, and is sold in the US via the house website, the boutique Refinery Fragrances, and a couple of other points of sale, I believe. It performs very well. 8 out of 10

This perfume stopped me in my tracks and made my eyes roll back. When they say perfumery is art, they were talking about this. The almond is sweet and powdery and then the Cognac and cinnamon give presence. The rose is subtle. The ambroxan keeps it light and feathery. So while it is a gourmand, it's neither heavy nor food-like. When I tell you this is beautifully made? I only got a handful of perfumes that made me feel like this. Elegant, elevated, but sheer and effortless. Just WOW. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ive had this for a few weeks and its so beautiful. Absolutely warm and spicy and sweet. Its truly a perfect blend and youll get whiffs of it as the day/night goes. I've personally been wearing this at night and gotten compliments from my own friends. In fact one friend complimented twice in the same week! It has great projection, even in a crowd. skin is different for everyone, but it lasts on clothes for houurssss. Beautiful beautiful scent!

This is so damn good. It’s rich without feeling thick or heavy, and the Ambrox Super keeps everything lifted. It’s fairly linear on me, but I can still pick out each of the notes: warm spice, creamy vanilla, smooth sandalwood, cognac, and that dark touch of rose. It’s sweet and spicy, incredibly smooth, and genuinely velvety. The name could not be more perfect. Completely addictive. I cannot stop smelling the back of my hand.

Velour is one of the sexiest fragrances I smelled this far, and I been deep in this game for not even a year yet, but I smelled more than enough fragrances. Anybody new or old in this fragrance lifestyle will enjoy this. It’s reminiscent, sexy, long lasting, and a confidence booster. It has similarities to on the rocks by killian, but this is much better, smoother, and not as expensive.

Velour feels like slipping into something soft, warm, and undeniably luxe. It’s not just a fragrance—it’s a texture. Smooth, comforting, and quietly captivating. It sits close to the skin but draws people in, which I love. There’s an understated richness that makes it feel expensive without trying too hard. This was an instant yes for me—one of those purchases you don’t second-guess.

I was at my friend's house and we were testing, sharing Parfums....i was about to leave and she said you need to smell 27.9 Velour, it was love at first sniff. It's so warm, smooth, makes you happy and smile scent. Unfortunately at the moment they don't ship to Canada, but at least I got a 10ml sample!

This is a ridiculously good fragrance.

slightly gentler version of langston, gives a more professional feel. good stuff!!!
