Brackenbury

4160 Tuesdays Brackenbury is a nuanced blend described as a blend of rose, blackcurrant, raspberry, apple, tobacco, and woods. I liken it a fresher, greener, less dense cousin to Amberama, the raspberry-rich resinous blend that I also love, with Brackbenbury more so conjuring the outdoors, perhaps a spring morning, and Amberama feeling more like the nighttime. It vaguely reminds me of the fig/tobacco blend Perfumology’s beloved Grange, as well, perhaps more in concept than in actual overlap. Overall, it’s lovely: easy to wear, versatile for seasons and occasions, and crafted with care, a scent I want to smell over and over again. Brackenbury is EDP concentration and is sold via the UK-based house site as well as great US boutiques like Perfumology, where it is priced at $195/110 for 100/50ml, very reasonable. 8 out of 10

I absolutely love this perfume! Warning! The smell on paper is not so great but on skin it transforms into a beautiful sweet, creamy tobacco! On my skin the fruit combined with the tobacco just make for this gorgeous smooth scent bubble! I would say 6hrs of moderate protection then 8hrs+ of nice skin scent. I haven't had enough time with it yet to be sure on that though (only with for 1 day so far) I will be honest and say when I first sniffed this I really didn't want to put it on my skin, but luckily I persevered because it is gorgeous! Will update if anything changes!

I love it. It reminds me of some type of fruit candy from my childhood but in a grown-up way. It is not too sweet and it is very well blended. I can't pick out one not from another. I sprayed 12 sprays on my skin and got 8 hours of wear from it.

This is a lovely subtle blend of the elements used. In fact, it has two notes that spell danger for me--rose and especially black currant--I almost never enjoy a scent with that note. But I trusted Sarah because I adore some of her other works...and I'm glad I sampled. I probably won't keep reordering it like I will with rhubarb and custard, or The Orange Tree, but it is a fine scent for casual days and especially for outdoor activities.

For me the tobacco is very overwhelming. I also find that this company doesn’t seem to have many perfumes that last very long.
