Creamy Vanilla Crumble

A beautiful, rich, musky vanilla. It's less so a tobacco and vanilla fragrance, but more vanilla with tobacco and hay used to create the impression of a rich custard crumble. Which it achieves very realistically. It's a delicious sweet vanilla, but also heavily malty. If vanilla fragrance lovers wanting this don't like prominent musky or dry leafy notes I'd advise against getting it. The hay is quite realistic and might be offputting for some. Great longevity, lasts 24 hours and beyond easily. It's simple but effective and high quality. I thoroughly love it!

Creamy Vanilla Crumble (launched 2018) sounded delish and became my first foray into the house of 4160 Tuesdays London. A nice discovery in my ongoing quest for good vanillas, it satisfies the gourmand-lover in me with pure, slightly boozy vanilla custard, followed by a tobacco-and-hay dry-down that adds a bit of sophistication. Feminine-leaning, pretty long-lasting, with a prolonged musky ending. Versatile for all seasons and occasions.✿ Scent family: Amber Vanilla Longevity on me: moderate to long-lasting

On couch with partner snuggled in, dog at your feet, cashmere blanket draped around. The snow comes which you can see against the darkened sky and you sit back to watch 'It's a Wonderful life'. All is right in the world. Lovely, strong, sweet, coconuty vanilla with the slightly burnt edges of the crumble that bubbles at the sides, peeking through. A dream of happiness with a few sprays. Lasts on me for 12 hours or more, you will keep sniffing it over and over.

a beautifully earthy gourmand and a vanilla done different! this opens with a creamy and ultra sweet whipped custard but then you get a powdery, smoky tobacco and woody hay. The malt adds a nuttiness to the vanilla and there’s a nice balance of sweetness and darker accords. This is a sweet vanilla custard blended with earthy, green accords and smoked tobacco. Love the way juxtaposition here and I can def see why this is somewhat polarizing!

I love this one. It's a strong and creamy vanilla. I definitely get the custard accord. To me, it gives a coconut pie with graham cracker crust vibe to it. It's so good! The tobacco and malt give it a really nice depth. It's dense and lasts a good while on my skin. It's beautiful alone and layers great with other fragrances as well. This is the next fb I'll be adding to my 4160 Tuesdays collection.

This is the perfect blend of sweet vanilla and crisp hay- like walking taking a hay ride through a pumpkin patch while eating vanilla cake. I can't stop smelling my wrist. Definitely getting a full bottle!

On my skin, this smells exactly like a vanilla Yankee candle. It's delicious, and I love it, but there is a very distinct waxy quality to the scent that is a dead ringer for a vanilla candle.

Sophisticated, complex, unique vanilla. Very gourmand but not in a sickly-sweet way. Beautiful and cosy. 4160 Tuesdays should be getting much more hype!

On paper I thought I would love this: sweet vanilla confection with an edge of boozy tobacco. However, it was a like and not a love for me. I enjoyed the whiffs throughout the day but it was a quiet bubble rather than a loud shout of a scent. There’s sweet, creamy vanilla, offset with tobacco and (what feels to me like) rum. There’s an earthy tone I don’t love, which must be the hay. I have to say though: I love this brand. I ordered samples and they arrived beautifully packaged, with a handwritten note. I’d love to find a signature scent by them, as I like the thought of giving lots of money to a small business like this!

A warm, comforting, custardy vanilla. I found this very easy to wear and enjoyable to sniff. It wore gently, with the scent changing relatively little during drydown. It is a sweet, light scent that is true to the vanilla crumble name and, certainly as it smelled on me, I think it would be very hard to dislike. I don't wear sweet scents regularly enough to purchase a full bottle of this, but I'd certainly be happy if somebody gave me one...

Gourmand vanilla dessert scent. What differentiates this one is the strong malt note. I even can smell some sort of bread yeast in there. Overall a vanilla cake scent for grown up that does not smell too sweet or simple. I think 4160 Tuesdays has a twist with vanilla/gourmand perfumes.

A lovely creamy sweet vanilla. With a bit more too it, it’s hard to put your finger on what is behind it without looking at the notes, it’s just warm and a bit woody. I don’t get any coconut, try Crikey Coconut Caramel for a similar sweet sugary scent with a lot of coconut.

On opening, I wanted this to be more gourmand. I'm getting a lot of the hay and tobacco notes and they're smelling kind of woody. The drydown is a nice custardy vanilla though. It's a like, not a love.

The base notes give this a unique feel, setting it apart from other vanilla/dessert scents.

Smells like Rhubarb & Custard without the rhubarb. I prefer Rhubarb & Custard.

Can’t we all get along? Some of you may be too young to catch the reference but I mention in reference to perfume reviews. I received this perfume this morning after a delay in delivery due to Ida. I read the reviews for this juice and one in particular stuck in my head. A fellow perfume aficionado said, and I am paraphrasing ‘imagine the creamiest, yummiest vanilla custard and then dump a ashtray full of cigarettes into it...’ Like I mentioned, their review stuck with me and I get it. As a mere novice in perfume collection, I have scores to learn but this site has taught me you have got to wait for the dry down. I have also learned that walking away from a perfume and then coming back to it can be a remedy for a disappointing blind buy. However, I would be open to a trade or sale (50% of retail). Needless to say I have the box and it is only missing a few sprays. I am strictly a gourmand girl who has foolishly blind bought may $200 and up perfumes. I know now that samples can equal savings. As a novice collector, how do any of us justify having so many perfumes. At this point, I could die, be buried and exhumed and still have nearly full bottles of perfume to last, and last Is there a strategy for someone with a very decent middle class income? For example, should I deplete one bottle of a perfume before ordering another? OK my sweet smelling peers, there are things to do and perfumes to covet. PS. I love the compliments of those who say “You always smell so good”. I know how poor Rihanna feels, many celebrities say she is the best smelling person they’ve ever met. Rumor has it it’s Killian “Love Don’t Be Shy”. Cleverly, she has neither confirmed or denied it but the company has reaped the benefits.

It's a very interesting vanilla fragrance, it's a very creamy vanilla with a lot of smokiness. But the malt and hay just ain't for everyone. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it but i wouldn't call it bad either. You'd really need to try it for yourself to come to a conclusion

It's very gourmand but with a wearable base. I enjoy the tobacco and freshness from the hay but something seems off... Like a waxy note or candle accord. It's okay but I'm glad I only bought a sample. Review of sample purchased from LuckyScent.com

I like this on my skin, finally a vanilla that’s not too sweet, but it has little lasting power. Also, I don’t always enjoy the tobacco note.

Sampled from indiescents.com. I thought I would love this. I'm always open to a new vanilla scent, I love almost anything so long as it's interesting. This fragrance was one of the more dull vanilla/gourmands that I've tried. The good: it's sweet, it didn't give me a headache, it's not a loud perfume (I don't think it would be offensive to others). The rest: though sweet, there isn't much depth to the vanilla and the whip cream/custard notes don't shine through like I hoped they would. I sprayed this on my arm and it stayed on my jacket sleeve for another day. The scent that was leftover was not vanilla or gourmand of any kind. I think it must be the hay or musk notes but it was not a pleasant smell and not something I would want to be associated with me. I know there are other people out there who enjoy this and I'm glad it works for them. This one is a pass for me.

Imagine you just got a realy nice lovely vanilla custared pudding, the most dreamy, jummy goodness, its a nice summer day, this looks refreshing and lovely, and just as you want to take the first spoon full in your watery mouth, SOMEONE DUMPS A ASHTRAY FULL OF COLD WET CIGARET STUMPS ON IT... I am still hurt and sad, I am sorry... cuz it would be such a lovely fragrance and the tabacco could have been sooooo nice too... i was hoping for vanilic unlit pipe tabacco... not soggy burned old cigarette buds...

I do not like this! Had to wash it of. The opening smells like shredded coconut and then there kiks in the very bitter burning tabacco and hey nots in. The vanilla is notable and actualy very nice but that bitter smoky smell just ruins it. Not nice tabacco to me. I would say definitly test it first. The vanilla does smell like lively paisteries I agree but there is a stinky smoky fire next to it. I don't want a farmer smoking cheep tabbacco in my bakery shop thank you :-D

I really don't get it. Maybe I just have a different chemistry? But the only thing I like about this is the dry-down, and then only about an hour later. And then it's just a vaguely vanilla skin scent. But - sadly - the opening on this smells like cat pee on a hot car seat. Then the scent improves slightly by smelling like vanilla air freshener that's been poured over the patch of cat pee. I'm so sad! After reading other descriptions, I really wanted to like this one!

This is ok, in one way it smelled exactly like I thought it would, on the other hand it did have this hay-ish waxy note to it that isn't that pleasant nor is it refined or expensive smelling.. maybe a little cheap. I haven't decided if Ill keep but Ill update once I do :)

This has gourmand notes, but it’s moderately sweet. The hay note kind of gives it a slightl yeast smell. It’s one that I’m glad I tried a decant to experience it. It’s not blind buy safe.

I really wanted to like it because of the notes but to my nose, this is a nauseating plastic or play dough version of vanilla woods from the 7 virtues. not a safe vanilla blind buy

I'm not a true vanilla fan, so I'm very glad to report that this is not just a straight up vanilla! The sweetness is thick and creamy, and the malt gives a real sense of an oaty crumble topping. I love a hay note, but I wasn't expecting the hay to be so extremely strong throughout! Initially it's even a bit too strong. Funny how this note is down voted, as to my nose it dominates. Overall, it's an interesting perfume for sure, and I'll enjoy my small vial. However I doubt it will last all that long as sadly longevity is only 1-2 hours so resprays are necessary. I got this as a free sample with a purchase from the 4160 Tuesdays website, along with gorgeous packaging and a cute handwritten note, so I just have to point out how lovely their customer service is!!

This is pretty nice. On me it’s definitely pulling more of a coconut vanilla custard candle vibe than anything else.There’s almost something waxy about it, hence the candle aspect. I’m not getting any tobacco at all. I’m not sure if this is full bottle worthy though lol. I got a sample hoping for the main notes listed on Luckyscent which is just vanilla and tobacco, and this is not at all what I was expecting. It’s still nice. Just not what I was hoping for. Edit: After giving this multiple wear tests now I’ve concluded that there is something off about it on me. I can’t really pinpoint what it is other than something about it is turning me off. It’s pulling more of a weird (not sweet) cafeteria food vibe than anything else. Really strange and off-putting.

Very creamy vanilla, reminiscent of a much lighter BL without the spices + malt and hay. I rarely see malt and hay in a fragrance so this is interesting. I wasnt sure how id feel about that base but i love it! Strong initially, I applied 3 tiny sprays and have a nice lil baby bubble going. Does not go playdoughy at all! I absolutely love the vanilla in this, its buttery and rich but not too strong or cloying, beautiful imo. Really loving this one rn on a cold December Monday morning. Longevity is about 4-6 hours for me. Definitely underrated as a fragrance and brand as a whole. I love the meaning of 4160 Tuesdays too- if we all lived to be 80 years old, we will have lived thru 4,160 Tuesdays..

I really wanted to love this as hay and malt sounds sooooo cool. It is definitely interesting. I get vanilla first on, that quickly becomes fresh cracked coconut. It's the whole 9: Coconut flesh, coconut water, the whole thing, including that ozonic hint you get with a super fresh coconut. A bit of something like raisins creeps in, and as it dries down, it becomes a bit more fruity but still coconut. I'm not a huge coconut fan in scent because it becomes sunscreen too fast, but this is nice! I tried it another day, though, and it was all playdoh. Salty playdoh clay that dried to vanilla playdoh clay. So I guess test this one before committing to a full bottle.

I cannot get enough of this😍 It's soft, yet it's not close to the skin. This is a delicious creamy vanilla coconut custard fragrance. Its not sickly sweet either. I'm really surprised coconut is not listed as it smells really prominent on my skin. I was expecting the tobacco note to be strong, however I find it very subtle and smells lovely in the dry down. Imagine eating Coconut cream pie....this is what it smells like. If your a huge fan of vanilla and coconut, you will not be disappointed at all, it may even be the scent you've been looking for all along. Yum!!! 🥥🍦

I do like the vanilla / custard aspect to this perfume however there is a strong coconut buiscuitty aspect to it that is just not working with my skin. On me this turns into a stale wafer, with a bit of that bitterness that you get when you've left nuts in a container too long, acidy stale nuts. Sad, the coconut nice biscuit would go nicely with the vanilla and custard notes. This opens straight up whipped coconut custard on me. The coconut lasts maybe 10 minutes then it mellows into a creamy, sweet vanilla with a touch of tobacco. I can also smell the hay slightly in the dry down. I can’t decide if I like the hay aspect. I wish the coconut lasted longer, because if it did I’d buy a fb asap. On the fence if I want to invest in a fb, mainly because of that hay note, so I’ll continue wearing my sample to see if it grows on me. Update: I ended up buying a fb & I actually had someone compliment me the first time I wore it!

I like the creamy custard notes in this it smells delicious but for vanilla from this brand I prefer "the sexiest scent in the world" which feels better blended. I didn't get any tobacco or coconut (which other reviews claim they smell). A good quality vanilla gourmand not too sweet I think the malt dampens it well (I don't like sickly sweet fragrances and many gourmands fall into this trap).

What a lovely surprise! On my skin Creamy Vanilla Crumble smells like my favorite Raffaello sweets - a wafer, filled with a white milk cream and white blanched almonds, and surrounded by a coconut layer. It is soft, creamy and very cosy. The staying power is moderate.

It’s interesting. Spoiler alert... there’s vanilla in this. The tricky part is what’s behind it. So - if I’m being honest, I get a burnt rubber type vibe. While that may not sound great...it’s actually not bad. It’s actually kind of intriguing.

I like this! I’m sensitive to that playdough vanilla smell, and I don’t get that all. It smells like creamy vanilla and malt to me, a little earthy too which I guess is the hay. Better than your basic vanilla!

Unfortunately, on me it was a horrible, synthetic mess. I may re-try...but then again...most likely not. I was so looking forward to sampling after falling for Hammersmith Tea & Biscuits. ** sigh**

Creamy vanilla coconut cake. I don't get any tobacco, but like some other reviewrs, I do get shredded coconut. Simple straightforward gourmand. Not bad.

Chemical, synthetic, Yankee candle vanilla scent. Glade has made better vanillas than this.
