Lifted

It's hard not to review this and NOT use the phrase "sunshine in a bottle" 🌞 it's incredibly evocative of warm golden sun, of honey coloured amber. It starts quite differently though there's a very brief initial blast of Refreshers - the sweets we are as kids in the 70's ! Not quite as sweet as Love Hearts, more citric acid fizzy but that's the first thing that hits you - that fizzy sweet sherbet in the air, that used to sometimes made us sneeze 😆 This dissipates very quickly and more definite lemon comes through. There's a hint of linden but nowhere near the amount that's found in London Linden it's very sparsely used here, no sharpness just a little greenness. In fact that's what's unusual for a citrus forward scent it's not sure at all.. It was created for those tough days, where you need a little bit of help to get going and face the day, but it's not a sharp shower, a wake up call; it's more somebody holding you still for the moment, looking into your eyes and saying: :"chin up, you've got this" Then the warmer notes come through. I would say within the first 20 minutes the vanilla and amber takes over and the whole thing softens out and that's where you feel at that warm golden sunshine. At the hour mark it's more of a skin scent with a hint of lemon powdery musk and vanilla. It embraces you in a feeling of contentment I only have a small amount on one wrist though. I imagine if applied more liberally, particularly on a warm sunny day, it would just RADIATE sunshine ! For now here, it's JUST Spring and it's been a pleasurable glimpse of hot, sunny days to come,.. "And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind The front of your dress all shadowy lined And the droning engine throbs in time with your beating heart" ( This was a sample generously sent with a purchase of another scent.
