Tart's Knicker Drawer

False advertising! I was expecting something sexy and sultry, but this would be better named 'Pick and mix sweeties at the movies'. It's lovely, a light and delicate fruit and floral. It is quite sweet but its not at all sugary or sickly. I didn't get the bergamot at all, I got fresh raspberries and violets. It dries down to a gentle powdery note. Unfortunately for me, my skin drinks this up. It last less than an hour and it was more like a skin scent with no sillage at all-I had to bring my wrist right up to my nose.

Full throttle floral. I have this in extrait and have not sampled the EdP. To me this is a big blowsy floral in the manner of something like Creed's Fantasia de Fleurs. White flowers, rose and a powerful powdery base of amber and tobacco. It is quite sweet (less sweet than Fantasia de Fleurs) but there is green sharpness to the opening that makes me think of crushed stems - something like galbanum but I don't see that listed in the notes. Big thumbs up from me.

This is a very fun fragrance - it is not what you would expect from the name. It is simultaneously innocent and seductive, youthful and mature, soft-spoken and street-wise. It lasts from morning until night and I got quite a few compliments as well. One warning - it is a fragrance that you don't so much as wear as it wears you (which I like, actually), so I spritz lightly for the office. My favorite of the 4160 Tuesdays line!

If you find Boudoir a little weak these days and want a ton more sugar and a bit more tuberose, this is for you. It does have an old fasioned sweet vibe, floral gums backed by cream soda sherbert and a smudge of cough-candy in the distance, on top of the floral, but it's very sexy. To me anyway. No one has complimented me on this but I don't care, I love it.

So far this is a favourite along with "The Gin Garden"of the 4160 Tuesdays current range. I am sure some would call it "Old Lady" but I dont care. If you love Vivienne Westwoods "Boudoir" then you will love this. A sophisticated but fun fruity floral. This is not a fragrance for girls. Good sillage and easily lasts all day.

I absolutely love this ladylike retro fragrance. It's full of flowers, powdery notes, fruit and amber. It smells as if it were designed to be worn in the 1950s with gloves and a little suit. It's one of my favourites from 4160 Tuesdays and I always walk a little taller when I wear it.

I should add, mine is the extrait version. Longevity medium but I like the top notes so I would wear one spray but reapply a couple of times.

I cannot comment on the EdP as I only have the first batch of extrait. I totally get the name. Imagine it’s the 60’s in the North of England. This is the scent of a woman on the hunt wearing a full on make up, high heels, a too short skirt & perfume. She gets tuts from the married ladies off to bingo & they gossip “She’s no better than she should be, that one.” “The state of that!” When she passes the she smiles sweetly, but underneath she’s hurt. She’s a good girl underneath. Tart’s Knicker Drawer is a big, brightly coloured, trashy bouquet with a dollop of animalic sensuality. Good natured, loud, slightly sloppy, warm & lovable! Womanly & buxom yet she goes home to her own single bed at the end of the night. She’s sexy not sleazy. The knickers in this drawer are pristine white cotton, rolled away neatly & change twice a day

Knicker drawer or old makeup bag? This smells exactly like my mom's old purses. A very subtle, sweet airy scent. My guess is that either you like or you don't. No sillage to speak of. Very feminine.

This is the first time I've reviewed a scent here - I know what I like and what I dislike, but I don't really consider myself knowledgeable about perfumes. I do have a very definite opinion about this one, though. My apologies to the folks that consider this an "adult" fragrance, but this reads "little girl pretend perfume" to me. I tried, but just couldn't wear it more than a few minutes. It was far too sickly sweet & fruity for me - something like candy or bubblegum. If I hadn't known what it was, I truly would have guessed this was a "just like Mommy's" play fragrance for very young girls.

I wasn't too sure about this one while it was in the bottle, but gave it a try on my skin to see if it would morph into something I would like. It did change over time, but on my skin it was incredibly sweet. I got virtually no floral notes in the fragrance. And, it smells a bit like ice cream sprinkles.

This is such a magnificent scent, I hardly have words.... I’ve been draining Lucky Scent vials like a vampire, awaiting my full bottle for Yule. The most immaculate, high end, silky satin & French chantilly leavers lace lingerie imaginable. Effervescent, lighthearted & fun. In part, reminiscent of Putain des Palaces {Etat Libre d’Orange}, as someone noted elsewhere. To me, that is not a bad thing at all... As Putain is one of the most incredible, maddeningly addictive scents of all time. & While making comparisons, Tart’s Knicker Drawer is sweeter & a tinge tangy... A bit like the candy, 'Sweet Tarts'. I cannot wait to bathe myself in it with wild abandon. I absolutely love creations that are unabashedly feminine. Take-no-prisoners feminine. I’ve come across countless instances of women expressing the sentiment that they were EMBARRASSED about liking anything overtly feminine; Pink, anything ’too girly’... How many times I have heard women describe something as “too girly”. I die. It may be subtle, but it’s still poison. It adds up, collectively. For me, everything is connected & I can’t help but think of this when I marvel at how incredibly beautiful this perfume is. How feminine, how girly. & How that is an inherently beautiful, positive thing. & How I revel in wearing it. Divine. I adore everything from the bottle, scent name & the meaning behind '4160 Tuesdays'. . .💖

It's all rose, powder and jasmine and yes, smells like a knicker drawer sachet. There's something very British about this scent too- it's clearly not a knicker drawer filled with neon thongs and bombshell bras but more black velvet and white satin. Sadly, this scent lasts for maybe 5 minutes on me and then fades. The rose and jasmine fade to the benzoin note. To me it's a very comfortable scent. For those old enough to remember how Victoria's Secret smelled back in the 80's when they were still a lingerie store and, this is a throwback to that.

To me this does not smell like any of the listed notes. It does smell like I'm rummaging through a drawer that perhaps I should not be in. Very old-school scent. Kinda over the top. If I had to pick listed notes that I smell, I would say violets and tobacco. Powdery with a sour tang.

Powdery floral with a musky vanilla base a bit "old lady" which might put some people off. I like it but it is a skin scent with not as much silage or staying power as I like dissapears too quickly on my skin to be worth it.

Oh My ... they keep on releasing any blend they make! This one is raspberry rose cake with glade room spray.
