What I Did On My Holidays

This one does EXACTLY what it says on the tin - I grew up by the seaside in the UK and I miss it so much not being able to travel at the moment, but this scent really nails it - salt, mint choc chip ice cream, candyfloss and sun cream. I think it's so particularly the British seaside that it might miss the mark if you're looking for a more typical 'beachy' scent (they're one of my obsessions but others tend to smell much more of a fantasy, tropical beach than the one I know and love!) but if you've ever been to a bank holiday at Scarborough, Southend, Barry Island this will take you there. At first I was more into it as, I guess, a work of art than as a perfume as it's so far from a traditional scent structure it doesn't quite smell as if it's meant for humans, but I've come to really love wearing it. I got used to the smell of it on myself by layering it with other more 'normal' scents which it plays really nicely with - 4160 sent a sample of Mrs Gloss' Lemon Sherbet with this which worn together just takes you into pure sweetshop gourmand territory, while over a sample of Dior Joy, which is basically the safest, insipid floral musk imaginable, the extremely safe and really out-there elements balance out into something really charming and wearable. KKW Body II also works well with it, pulling it into the traditional 'beachy' stable. But after all that mixing the strange, milky minty ozonic character has really grown on me and I've started to love it on my skin in its own right! I haven't tried wearing them together because I think they're both too powerful in their own right, but in my collection it stands out alongside Mugler Aura as scents that really capture hot summer air - 'solar notes' in perfume tends to mean sweet white flowers or just straight coconut/suncream, the latter of which is obviously here but there's more to it than that - something about it captures that contrast between the heaviness of heat radiating from the ground on a summer's day with the crisp coldness of the sea, while Aura is more evocative of the thick humidity of a hot day just before a thunderstorm. Both are also very strange slightly alien beasts to wear on one's skin but very special for it!

This one intrigues me to no end. I'm purchasing a full bottle next week, to have it shipped to Australia... along with three other bottles, and the nine millilitre bottles. As I haven't tried many of Sarah's scents before, I decided to go for the ones that I could relate to most (or at least allow to paint the easily recognisable pictures). Having only tried a small sample of Sexiest Scent, I got only a brief insight to the Sarah McCartney style and the 4160T outlook. The idea that scents can trigger memories or create new ones is beyond fascinating and is really making me want to use these fragrances mindfully, and not just willy nilly. I will be purchasing the Eau My Soul scent as well, which will be a great scent for reminding me of the lovelies to be found in the fragrance community. This scent I can imagine to be exactly what a waterfront carnival would be like. Only seeing them in television shows, I can only imagine sadly. But just looking at the notes, I can hear the cheery music and the joyous screams of people on a scary ride. Truly exhilerating. I'm not usually one for sweet, sweet and more sweet scents but this just sounds innocent and playful, like a carnival would be. The mint confuses me a little, but I shouldn't judge before I try it. There's got to be a purpose for that mint, just like every other note. It seems that as a young, non- Brit I'll never truly understand this but by golly I'm going to try.

I got a sample of this in a 4160 Tuesdays London discovery set. Reading the other comments I think you need to be a Brit, and one who has experienced seaside summer holidays as a child to understand this fragrance. Candy canes at Christmas wasn’t/isn’t really a thing in the UK and ‘holidays’ means summer (6 weeks off school) to us rather than Christmas. This takes me back to my childhood but also the days of taking my kids to the seaside when they were little. They’re adults now and they had the same happy nostalgic experience as me smelling this scent. First spray is like being slapped around the face with a big fat stick of Brighton rock. It’s a bit shocking tbh and I swear the rock has the words Fu<€ ¥0u running through it. I don’t dislike it but it was a shock (still is!). But, that calms down within about 30 minutes and then I get fresh sea air, salty seaweed, candy floss, vanilla ice cream, hot toffee, and toasted nuts. Just like walking along Brighton Pier on a hot sunny day. My skin loves it and it lasts all day on me with my nose never tiring of it. Needless to say I bought a bottle.

I read the notes on the Olfacif card before I put this on and I thought that the mint note does not belong in a beach fragrance and would spoil everything. How was I wrong.The mint note is what distinguishes this from other seaside perfumes and makes it special. I've never been to the english seaside but I spent the summers of my youth on the beautiful Adriatic coast (ex-Yugoslavia). This fragrance took me back to those evenings in the camps crowded bathrooms: everybody coming in the same time, around sunset, waiting in line to take a shower, suntan lotion going down, toothbrushing and shaving (the mint note), and the salty marine air coming in from the open door and from the windows high up, under the ceiling. Anticipation is in the atmosphere 'cause we are going out and we'll have fun. Ah to be young again. Congratulations to the perfumer and to the house for being able to recreate memories like this. After several hours of wearing the dry-down is just salty air and creaminess almost same as the ones in the FM Lys Mediteranee. Mhhm, mhhm, beautiful.

Sarah McCartney strikes again with an eclectic and super fun fragrance. Yes, the dry-down does smell like ice cream. I get the chocolate chips ice cream note. On the opening you get something fresh and marine. Then it becomes more sweet and mellow but you still sense some freshness in there. The mint ? The sea notes ? lavender ?. Ok it is very bizarre but it works. You've been warned. I never smelled anything quite like this before. I cannot get enough of this one. A spray puts a smile in my face and I'm happy with that. I don't consider this one as a "vacation" only fragrance since the dry-down is gourmand and really pleasant. It might be great in Winter actually. I not from the UK so I cannot comment on the British seaside association. Longevity is great as most 4160 Tuesdays fragrances. They last for hours on my skin and most modern perfumes don't. To me it is full bottle worthy and this is actually one of my favourite scent at the moment. I'd smell like that all the time if I could.

This is a wildly unique perfume, which I wasn’t expecting to love, but actually adore. It is not linear at all and takes you on a journey. You start with mint and coconut, really aromatic, which then calms down to a herbal sweetness, before leaving you with a creamy vanilla ice cream for hours. I am not a herbal/aromatic fan but this has captured my imagination. It’s not a major projector but your little scent bubble is very pleasing indeed. It also (bear with me here) smells very British. It’s like Alien Goddess/Beach Walk are American Dream versions of a summer holiday whereas this is a summer trip to a UK seaside town as a child. It’s probably raining, your mum’s bought you a Mr Whippy and it’s gone everywhere and given you sticky fingers, you’re looking forward to spending your pocket money in the arcade later, the salty aromatic smell of the sea is everywhere, and if you play your cards right, you might convince your dad to buy you a giant £6 lollipop later. Beautiful.

I asked for more 4160 fragrances to be included on fragrantica because I wanted to review them so it's good to see them here. I believe (Sarah can correct me if I'm wrong) but not all the notes are present and should include melon, cucumber, rosewood, and bergamot. I definitely get woody notes in the drydown, and there's more to the sun lotion than coconut. The opening to me is clearly peppermint rock and lotion. As the mint fades a little I get the ozone and vanilla woods. I took a punt on this one and blind bought a bottle, my personal desire to revisit my childhood. Being with Granddad in Hunstanton, playing with my cousins at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I'm both happy and sad in equal measure. I don't know how it translates as a fragrance, but I really don't care. I feel lucky to be able to use this fragrance to evoke old memories, and I want to take my son to the beach so I can pass that feeling on.

Well, what can I say about this one? It has been a great surprise, I have to admit. The scent is intended to be the smell of British seaside holidays, almost an olfactory memory trip back to childhood holidays. I can't say my holidays ever smelled like this as I haven't grown up in UK or by the seaside but, now, that I understand what it's meant to smell of, I completely get it. What I get is the smell of a coconut sun tan lotion mixed with mint rock sticks and the smell of the lavender and candy floss somewhere in the background, wafted in by the cooling UK seaside breeze. Yep, this is what UK seaside smells of, minus the chips with salt'n'vinegar of course, but then, who would want to smell of that??? In a summary, this is UK seaside holiday in a bottle, just like Sarah describes in her brief. And this is what I will wear when going to the seaside this summer. Thanks Sarah ;-)

Chocolate chip mint ice cream. That’s what I smell in the first phase of this perfume. So apparently that’s what I did on my holiday.....eat chocolate chip mint ice cream. I can’t think of another perfume in my collection which features ice cream as a note, so this is unique in my collection, and it’s also a lot of fun. After the 20 minute opening, I pick up coconut, vanilla and mint. I also pick up a citrus note which is not listed. I get the beach connotations, and this feels like a summer carnival with my toes in the sand. A strong like from me, though I can’t think of many occasions where I would want to smell like ice cream. I do think it’s really fun and a charmer, heck it made my husband laugh. Happy with my 5ml decant. I also know to not form a concrete judgement until I can wear this in warmer weather. So maybe an update for this review will come in about 8 months.

This is MY go-to scent for this summer. On me, it’s mostly sea salt and cotton candy, with a little bit of mint. Very refreshing and comforting. Sweet, but not too sweet. Towards the end, the vanilla lingers, and is reminiscent of a waffle cone (just the cone, not the ice cream). The sunscreen also starts to come through towards the end, but it’s subtle. Beach Walk and Soleil de Blanc are both scents I really like at first sniff, but I can’t wear either because the sunscreen notes get too cloying and start to make me feel sick after the first hour. But not What I Did On My Holidays, I find it quite addicting and broke my rule of waiting for my sample to run out before purchasing a full bottle.

Its another amazing fragrance! Yes, the mint is really fresh and gorgeous on the opening. Its not harsh and overwhelming but quite delicious. It gradually eases and then the coconut and the sweetness of ice cream as evident. The freshness of the mint and the sweet notes are perfectly balanced so it is not overly sweet. There is also a faint butteriness that makes me think of popcorn. Who knew that mint, coconut and ice cream would be a heavenly combination. If there is seaweed in there then it is very low key. Moderate sillage and longevity. The perfect fragrance for warm weather and casual clothing. Unisex but perhaps leaning towards the feminine because of the sweetness.

I’m early in the journey, but I get no chocolate. It does smell very summer holiday-esque. The mint-coconut combo is there, but in a way that’s reminiscent of the sun-baked part of hotels near the pool (yeah, no idea how it’s doing that, but that’s what I get). More on the drydown, it smells exactly like the ice cream shops that line the beaches in my New England state. I’m wearing it while starting my workday and drinking morning tea at my desk. The whiffs in my scent bubble almost let me believe I’ll be stepping out for vaycay rather than the usual coffee break in a few hours. I’m kinda loving it, but we’ll see how it performs.

A very strong and fresh opening of mint and coconut... with marine notes in the distance... it is a wonderful scent that brought me back in time while I ate a little ice cream, beach, sea and sun.. All very beautiful, this perfume is happiness! Perfectly unisex, in the drydown becomes creamy like an ice cream in summer and fresh and a bit "caramelized", you feel an unforgettable wake that carries you to forgotten places, days of happiness and holidays... this is difficult to describe in words, I can Say to love him. Among my favorite perfumes 4160 Tuesdays. Lovely_▂♡ Sillage: 6.5/10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 9/10 Overall: 9./10

This is love at first sniff for me. I do tend to like beachy scents so this is right up my alley. I've never liked mint in a scent before but this opens up with a strong but beautiful mint note that I love. It mixes so well with the coconut and sea notes. It then dries down to kind of a salty vanilla. The performance isn't amazing on this but it's just so unique and fun that I just don't care. I'll be purchasing a full bottle very soon. Edit: I bought a full bottle of this recently. It actually has pretty beast mode performance on me. The sample was a dabber so maybe I just couldn't get the full effect

Got my sample of this today and well I've never smelled a perfume like this before but upon first spritz it's immediately familiar. A fairly aggressive blast of mint accompanied by a slightly plasticy coconut, salty sea airiness with subtle wafts of seaweed is what I get in the first 20 mins. Yup it's the seaside. Magical! Then the mint fades away, the coconut softens and I get the wonderful smell of warm popcorn. Lovely, salted caramel popcorn... must be the cotton candy note. Can't wait to try out more of my sample come summer.

this is SOOOOO unique and gorgeous? suntan lotion, cotton candy, seaweed, and mint ice cream. it doesn't sound like it should work together on paper but in action? it blends together so perfectly and is STUNNING. can't speak to how well it evokes the british holidays it's trying to capture, but as a perfume itself it's one of the best i've ever smelled and will be getting a full bottle immediately. an instant fav for a summer fragrance <3 overall rating: 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 5/5

Mmm mint rock and coconut! This is the most refreshing opening to any perfume I have ever smelt. Then an aquatic turn (but not a synthetic as I often find aquatic scents) before settling down to a more vanilla smell..I guess that is where the icecream comes in. There is a hint of mint throughout but that's ok I love mint! This is a fun perfume that is quirky and unusual and very very nice.

This is one of my all time favourite fragrances, although I sadly only have a few samples. It's truly incomparable to anything else. In my mind, funnily enough, it embodies the scent of the seaside town in Bob's Burgers. A seaside carnival, cotton candy, sea salt, and freshly made artisanal ice cream. I'd love to buy this, but shipping costs are crazy!

I don't really have anything to go by due to my sample being long gone but what I can say is that I remember fragrance as being divine! There is just something about the vanilla ice cream ,coconut and mint in this that had me addicted from start to finish. This puts a grand smile on my face.

Brighton seafront in a bottle. It is an uncannily accurate rendering of British seaside holidays - mint rock, suntan lotion and salty sea breeze. It's terrifically good and evokes very happy memories of my childhood by the sea.

What an adorable, happy, refreshing fragrance. It does smell like mint chip ice cream mixed with fresh ocean air. It also lasts on skin and projects. I am in love.

Fun to sample. And I definitely recommend sampling before buying. The first 20 minutes or so of this were straight confusion to me- a mix of shrill screaming synthetics interspersed with intriguing little puffs of mint, cotton candy, melony sea notes and something doughy. It smells at once familiar but also ambiguous. It honestly tangled my brain up so much trying to figure out what I was smelling that it shocked me into a peaceful feeling. This could probably be used on raging little kids to calm them down. It truly engages the brain and the senses and focuses your attention on trying to place what you are smelling. If I didn’t know the intent of this perfume I’m not sure what my nose and brain would have made of it. Anyway, once the top notes burn off I started to get lively little phases of a) a dead on interpretation of vanilla ice cream melting under a hot sun, and b) what we in the States call cotton candy- sugary, airy, and if you have synesthesia at all, pink. And then, finally, c) sunscreen. Once all this dries down it’s like someone put all the above mentioned notes into a blender and mixed them into a sugary and slightly minty slush that is sweet, a little airy, a little coconutty and a fairly light wear. The light diffusion of this and the creativity of notes despite that lightness reminds me a bit of J scent. It proves a perfume doesn’t have to be beast mode to be unique and noticeable. As far as buying this, for me this would have limited wearing potential but for the right person this could be a summer favorite. It lasts 5-6 hours on the skin.

4160 Tuesdays What I Did On My Holidays deliberately calls to mind the food aromas enjoyed while one is on holiday, or as we say in the US, vacation. As seemingly many have noted, WIDOMH gives off somewhat of a "mint chocolate chip ice cream" vibe, but without chocolate as a listed note, leading me to believe it's predominantly the mint, vanilla, and ice cream notes that I smell from opening to dry down. Other supporting fresh / sweet notes include coconut (which I definitely get whiffs of), lavender (adding some freshness), and seaweed (barely there, if at all, on my skin). I'm generally not a fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream, nor do I enjoy mint in food much, and I'm usually pretty picky about mint in fragrances, so all of that notwithstanding, I'm pretty impressed by how well the mint is integrated into WIDOMH. For me it's a like, not a love, at least for now, but I can see how this would have a lot of appeal, especially for summer wear, as it's a gourmand, but not too heavy. Performance is acceptable, maybe slightly above average, and the pricing is on the more modest side of 4160 Tuesdays, at $90 for 50ml. Certainly one I'd like to try and wear some more and of which I need to find a larger decant. 7 out of 10

This is cute! It is pure British nostalgia-'What I did on my holidays' is the standard first piece of work you do in primary school (aged 5-11) after the long summer holidays. The fragrance is basically Blackpool, or Morecombe, or Weston-Super-Mare family holidays where sand gets in your knickers, a seagull makes off with your sandwiches and you fall off the donkey ride. The mint is either mint humbugs that your granny sucked all day, or sticks of rock that you nearly broke your tooth on trying to take a bite. I don't get much coconut but I don't think my nose can pick that up anyway, but I do get the sweet icecream, vanilla, candyfloss, all with a hint of sea salt and a slight ozone smell of seaweed. This isn't foreign holidays in exotic locations, or jet setting around tropical islands, this is family time holidays and being a little kid again. I'm not sure how that translates for non-UK folk (are sticks of rock and candyfloss and donkey-rides common elsewhere?), but I really like this. Maybe not so much as a personal fragrance, more of a household scent that made me feel very happy.

Went into this blindly. I thought it was going to smell Christmas-y, like a warm, cozy, and lightly spiced vanilla or chocolate fragrance. It jarred me how different it was in reality. It’s “Holiday”—as in, a vacation. It starts off with a powerful blast of mint (to the point where it’s medicinal). For some reason I get lemon or bergamot as top notes—but there seems to be none listed in the pyramid—and I immediately think of Ricola honey lemon cough drops. I also feel like there’s a tea note in there, specifically chamomile, but I got that wrong. Eventually, the coconut steps in, and it dominates the rest of the way. I only got the aquatic elements in the end. I didn’t know there was seaweed in there; it’s subtle, and it prevents the coconut from being too screechy. Overall, despite the super strong and aggressive opening, the dry down is calming and stress-relieving. It was going to be a hard no, but no, I don’t mind this and feel like I AM on a holiday vacation when I smell it. It reminds me of a slightly sweeter, creamier and more balmy Coconut Fizz.

4160 Tuesdays is such a fun perfume house--they have a wide variety of scents to choose from, and while not all of them appeal to me, there are a great many that do. What I Did on My Holidays is on the fence. I enjoy it from an entertainment aspect. As many have mentioned, it evokes memories of long-ago beach holidays, with the salty wind blowing through your hair, the vague scent of suntan lotion wafting up from the person on the next beach towel over, the tiniest suggestion of sweets floating by. The strong mint element flickers in and out with the salty air accord, and it occasionally throws me as it can feel a bit medicinal. However, there may be a huge difference in how WIDOMH plays on a hot summer day versus a chilly winter day. I really love the fact that the scent is not linear, but the elements flow in and out; I'm going to hang on to my sample for warmer weather to decide if this is something I would wear frequently.

Minty sweetness (like mint ice cream, with an overall cooling effect from mint and slight lavender). What I Did On My Holidays has a mild saltiness, more like salt water taffy than a briney realistic ocean scent. I don't get any coconut, but perhaps it is the creaminess I smell and the touch of sunscreen in the background that lends the scent a "strolling on the board walk" vibe. Overall, it's a cute, innocent and quirky gourmand - very sweet but not too overwhelming in the heat. I've found I've been craving minty fragrances lately in the humid summer weather (Masque's Russian Tea has been getting a lot of wear) and this is a casual but interesting mint gourmand. Quirky but not hard to wear. More feminine than masculine. Low sillage and medium longevity. Like.

This is similar to reveal for men but this is sweeter and mintier. It's super strong, 2 dabs on my wrist and the scent is radiating all around me. I smell the oceanic accord in this and also the creamy sweet ice cream. Though the mint kind of smothers all the other notes which is annoying. If the mint wasn't so intense it would be something I would definitely wear.

Opens with a blast of mint, followed by sweet creamy notes resembling a mix of coconut, cream, vanilla, all with a sea breeze in the background. The sea water or seaweed is mostly gentle but very present. I happen to like these kinds of scents (oceanic/coconut) so keep that in mind. But the mint ice cream makes this scent much more unique, refreshing, and fun.

Smells like a cool breeze and green, young creamy coconuts. It’s not at all suntan-lotion-esque, just in case if you’re looking for that. A tad vanilla and just slightly sweet, it’s very subtle, but maintains a good balance of a fresh, but warm concoction. Great for casual spring or summer days. If you enjoy the notes listed, it’s a safe blind buy.

This opens up super minty and green. But the ice cream starts to come through, and so does the lavender. I don’t really pick up any coconut. Just Imagine eating minty ice cream on a hot summer day, with a nice cool breeze. Don’t know if I would purchase a FB. Update - I fell in love with this. and cannot wait for the summer so I can purchase a FB!

Had to Edit ny reveiw. First impression was really wierd. Second try, still original but not so wierd. Lots of mentolic mind at first, more softness when it seattles. Futher use will be interesting, not sure about wearability yet, but surely original!.

This is a unique fragrance that somehow has a "cooling" accord. It actually makes me feel as if there are ice cubes or containers of ice cream right in front of me. The mint is mild, and smoothed by the coconut, which is fresh but not beachy.

This is a beach scent with cotton candy and ice cream accords so naturally, I anticipated it to be a sweet gourmand experience. To my surprise, it's really not very sweet at all. In fact, I don't know if I get a strong cotton candy note, or a seaweed note for that matter. I do get a dry coconut (almost like shavings), and a mint ice cream. It smells a lot like sunscreen and ice cream initially. Imagine you're wearing sunscreen and you get ice cream all over your hands, or your eating it and get it on your face. Strangely nostalgic. Reading the brand description, I see this is supposed to be reminiscent of a seaside holiday in the UK (with chip shops). I've had the US version of this experience, and it's somewhat true to form. I've smelled a lot of these types of fragrances and this is a fairly interesting one. But IMO it's not best in class. I think bond Coney Island is a little closer to home. But if you're in the UK, this might be a closer scent memory for you. Scent 5/10 Performance 6/10

I keep wanting to love "beachy" summer scents, but I have a complicated relationship with coconut. At first, the mint is very dominant, reminding me of a non-dairy (coconut base) mint chip ice cream. It's the opening that I "like", and the drydown that's just ok/nearly a dislike for me. If the vanilla were amped up and the coconut & cotton candy eliminated, it would be a strong like, if not a love from me. As it stands, in this fragrance, the coconut hung on for 12+ hours. It was an interesting wearing for my little hand-decanted sample, but because of the coconut, not fbw for me. Worth trying, especially if you like coconut.

It smells like going to a carnival at the shore. A salty sea breeze rushes by as you delve into a delicious mint chocolate chip ice cream cone. Ice cream droplets trickling down your salty fingers while pink cotton candy is being whipped up in the stand behind you. I could do without the coconut note but it is still a perfect summer fragrance. A super airy and fresh gourmand

smells exactly like the mint chocolate you get around christmas; sillage and longevity wasn't that great on my skin - paired it with candy cane body wash by tree hut and that's been an awesome routine if you really love the scent i would wear this SPECIFICALLY on a december 21-january 5 night but i understand the summer recommendations

Only got to smell this out of an empty bottle but I think I get the gist of it and it’s not for me. Invokes beach side, cool breeze, coconuts. 5/10

I have no idea what these folks did on holiday, but I would prefer to stay home. Of course I should have known, but I blind tested this one. It came with a sample lot, and I didn't even read up on this one before I tested it. At work. Ha. I am not a fan of ozonic and aquatic scents and this is all that plus a bag of chips. Salty chips. Yes, I smell the sea note and the salt note, very strong, a little dank, a little seaweedy. Kind of a green sea note, not blue. The fruity note struck me as fig, which is not listed, but remember I tested this one blind. And the coconut, overwhelming coconut. And the mint! My beloved said, "ew, medicinal. Menthol." I said, no, mint. But it is not the mint I love, as in Balenciaga Florabotanica (cannibis mint) or in Caron aimez moi (cool mint), this is more mentholated Vicks. If you like aquatics and ozonics and coconut, you will love this one. On me, a scrubber, and not so easy to get off. I am actually kind of a champion of the completed testing, I rarely bail on a fragrance, and usually do multiple tests. But this is so not me. Just no.

This perfume is certainly one of a kind in that I’ve never smelled anything quite like it, which is probably for the best. It’s an intriguing concept, but I personally feel it doesn’t translate well at all as a fragrance. The scent opens with a rather off putting mix of candy canes and expo markers. Once the coconut note appears, it feels as though a winter holiday fragrance has been blended with coconut sunscreen. No seriously, if you layered Bath and Body Works ‘Beach’ with Victoria’s Secret’s Snow Mint, you’d essentially recreate this scent. Minus the seaweed note which lends a peppery cologne like sharpness that feels confusing and oddly misplaced. I’ve not yet been to a boardwalk on the British seaside... so maybe that experience is required in order to fully connect the dots here. Even then, this is not something I could wear. I truly regretted putting this on me.

This smells like mint ice cream, I don't notice the coconut much but the aquatic notes are present. The output is cold and refreshing, I immediately notice the mint but the minutes go by and the freshness of the mint disappears and it becomes more lactonic, as it begins to dry it smells only of mint ice cream with something salty. I don't think it's bad but I don't like it either, it's a strange proposition and I consider it more of an olfactory experience than a full-fledged perfume. Average duration does not exceed 6 hours and projects little, it is not a bomb of compliments and it seems to me that its price for 100 ml is not worth 98 pounds sterling. The only way to try this brand is to buy their sample set and that was how I smelled this creation by pseudo-perfumer Sarah McCartney.

This one is definitely unique; I've never smelled a fragrance similar to this. While I don't think this is a fragrance I would wear, I definitely appreciate its composition, and the experience that it gives. This starts out very mint heavy on my skin, along with a strong aquatic and salt/seaweed combined with the underlying lavender. There is something almost metallic about it. As it wears the mint softens up and mixes with the vanilla to give the chocolate mint ice cream vibe that so many people get; I also get a hint of coconut. The dry down is vanilla ice cream. The cool thing about this fragrance is I can smell every note listed! However, the combination is such that it's not one I would realistically wear. To me this scent is very unisex.

I really wanted to like this given the reviews and the listed notes, but I seem to be the odd-ball-out who gets NO ice cream, cotton candy, waffle cones, or boardwalk vibes. I get an immediate and dominant herby-mint note mixed with sunscreen. Hate to say it but the herby-ness leans synthetic so I automatically thought of cleaner/freshener. It's definitely green, aromatic, fresh spicy, and if there's vanilla it just smells powdery given how green this is. Was hoping for maybe a seaside mint ice cream version of Kayali gelato (the creaminess that has). Maybe an air freshener stuck into a public bathroom on a boardwalk...

Starts off very salty and green, almost vegetal. Then moves into a smoother vanilla and coconut icecream smell. A very literal interpretation of the beach side, warts and all. I don't like this one.

It's just a sucker punch of ozonic melon (with no sugar) and coconut sunscreen. It would've been much more fun with sweetness in there, but as it is, it's just a noseful of synthetic stink.

Ick. Synthetic, sweet mess. This is like a beginner perfumer. I get fish and floral and fruit in the top. Coconut and sugar the rest of the way. Ugh.

I came seeking dessert, and instead I was ambushed by a floral impostor masquerading as something it could never become. No gourmand warmth. No creamy embrace. Not even a faint whisper of sweetness. Just gardenia—bold, unapologetic, and catastrophically off‐script. If this is their idea of gourmand, then gardenia must have staged a coup overnight, seized the throne, and declared itself the Queen of Ice Cream. A delusional queen, mind you—one whose reign is built entirely on lies, confusion, and shattered expectations. And as I smell it, I can’t help but laugh—the cold, villainous kind of laugh—because this fragrance didn’t just miss the mark... it evaporated the mark, burned the map, and banished the concept of ‘gourmand’ to another realm entirely

This smells like a cheap home fragrance candle called "lemon poundcake"--it's oily, plastic, synthetic and reminds me a bit of bug spray. I do NOT get any of the notes listed--no coconut, no mint, no ice cream, though I understand the gourmand attempt. This is a hard pass for me.
