4711 Acqua Colonia Bamboo & Watermelon

Watery melon and cucumber notes—the scent is exactly what it sounds like. It’s closer to a general photorealistic melon scent than the sweet, syrupy, and thick jolly rancher like melon accords. If you’re expecting the sweet candied melon notes you get in L'Imperatrice or Wavechild( or their Arabian dupes)—this isn’t that. This is more like cucumber-melon infused water with a touch of watermelon juice. I also get water Lily like the comment below states, but this is definitely a cucumber ( remember, cucumber and watermelon are related) water scent. This is the part of the melon that gets closer to the rind. It’s light and perfect for summer. It reminds me a bit of Victoria’s Secret Sun Chasers Sugar Surf in that it’s a watery melon scent. The sun chasers has more saltwater and this is more like a fresh aquatic scent. Can’t beat the price, either!

Definitely straightforward. Light and aquatic. I get more bamboo than watermelon but doesn't matter. Definitely recommend. Safe to blind buy if you like aquatic fresh scents. Haven't been disappointed by 4711 at all to be honest. I got a mini sample set before this and liked all of the scents

This is nice! Soft, fresh and green. Good choice for spring and summer. Good for all ages and both sexes. Thumbs up!

Well this isn't bad, but it wasn't a good blind buy either. A fresh, light and watery watermelon - bamboo fragrance that is perfect for summer. More watermelon on my skin. I am not the biggest fan of water scents because they are often sharp and harsh. A couple of sprays of this smells good, but it disappears almost immediately. Better longevity when oversprayed, but gets a bit sharp then... Meh...

It smells like basil. Quite unpleasant TBH. The watermelon is so little in it.

I love bamboo perfume, i used to have the yves rocher one & i thought watermelon would couple with it nicely. I blindly bought it & it's a great disappointment... much like cheap perfumes

I don't understand why they'd throw "watermelon" in the name of this fragrance. There is literally no watermelon. Bamboo "Watermelon" is a light water lotus/lily and bamboo scent - a very 90s fragrance "for women." It's slightly soapy, discreetly sweet, and completely "shower fresh" smelling. I cannot stress enough that, in the 90s, everyone's hair smelled like this fragrance after showering. It's pleasant, but an accurate name and note breakdown would have been appreciated. UPDATE: after several wears, I can accurately and confidently say that this smells like Adidas Pure Lightness - the EDT. Not the deo spray or body spray.
