4711 Acqua Colonia Blackberry & Cocoa

i totally LOVE this fragrance. i would eat it if i could. it's so ridiculously delicious. 😫 you can bet i'll be buying a full bottle, i'm positively OBSESSED. first spray opens up to this paradise in a bottle, perfectly harmonious blackberry and cocoa. it needs nothing else. it's flawless. it's so pleasantly sweet, not cloying or overwhelming. the blackberry gives the edc a delicious tart sweetness. there's rather a cocoa scent than chocolate, giving it a soft bitter edge, but also this fabulous warm spiciness. as i said, the beginning is harmonious balance between blackberry and cocoa, but after a few hours it's mainly spicy cocoa. the projection is moderate to weak, i feel like it sits closer to my person than going way off to the space, but i'd say others could smell it on me too, so it isn't precisely a skin scent. lasts about 3 hours nicely, but after it grows quite weak, needs reapplying. perfect for spring, maybe even all year round, and suitable for both day and night wear. indeed, i think i found my signature scent for spring.

This cologne is a blackberry delight! I only smell a hint of cocoa on my skin. This is a skin scent that lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin. This Blackberry & Cocoa cologne is ideal for layering with other scents that need a sweet touch. I mixed it with Mancera Red Tobacco and love it! For gourmand lovers this is a great one to add to your collection. Definitely a safe blind buy if you like blackberries.

This fragrance is more milk chocolate than blackberry on my skin. I can pick up some tart, juicy berry notes in the opening, but about 5 minutes later it's a warm, mildly sweet chocolate note. It's not overtly so, so it doesn't have to be worn in only the winter months, but it's a pretty cosy scent and is best used on cool days (or in air conditioned spaces!). Definitely a delicious and soothing fragrance, love it!

I can't smell any chocolate on my skin, just blackberries, but those blackberries are juicy and warmed by the sun. On me, it's a pretty clean scent, not even close to gourmand so I will use it at work.

I've never before written a review for a fragrance I haven't smelled, and I will buy this one, but thought that my previous experience with the 4711 Acqua Colonia range might be useful to anyone thinking about blind buying their newest colognes. I have most of the current and discontinued colognes, and bar one, think very highly of them. They are light, fresh fragrances which come in beautiful bottles, for a pretty good price. Just don't expect them to wear for hours - they are really more designed as a quick pick-me-up. Most of the Acqua Colonias are appropriate for Summer or Spring IMO, but given the notes in the Blackberry and Cocoa cologne, I can imagine it might be suitable after a shower to wear as a light, comfy scent to bed on cooler nights. They are a great product for the price. The shower gels are nice, but I find the body lotions, while true to the scent, just a little thin and cheap. Hope this helps someone. Cheers.

This is nice, but i was expecting something more gourmand. Apart from that, this is way too soft. 15 minutes after spraying it, i have to sniff my hand very closely to be able to detect something. Not the best from this line. P.S: it is more blackberry than cocoa on my skin.
