4711 Acqua Colonia Lychee & White Mint

WOW this is crisp, clean and sharp! Love the minty opening and the dry down is more sweet and Litchi takes over. I love extremely fresh minty and lemon-y/citrus scents that are still quite feminine(not so much aquatic or fresh woody smells), so this one is def something I absolutely love. There is not a lot of depth to it, it's not subtle, and it doesn't change much into anything else plus the scent is gone after 3 hours on me. But it's cheap and this smell makes me so happy, and it's an instant energetic mood booster, like some good essential oils can. I can see how some ppl review it here as the smell of just having had a shower or toothpaste even, but it's a too sweet to be a toothpaste smell imo. This uncomplicated fresh burst of energy would be great during a hot summer day.

I love lychee, and Nathalie Gracia-Cetto blew me away with Moustache EdP, so I had to have this release. While I don’t get any mint, I detect notes not listed here on Fragrantica. I smell faint whiffs of white florals, rhubarb, and sweet vetiver, all of which really round-out the composition and give it legs to stand on. It’s beautifully blended, and totally unisex. Credit must go to the perfumer for making a 4711 product that lasts longer than 10 minutes. At four hours it’s still going strong, and at $35/170ml, reapplication is guilt-free. If this is any indication as to the quality of the other Acqua Colonia releases, I’ll be buying more.

I love the way 4711 can renew itself again and again. It is one of the brands I always follow and always try whatever they produce. Lychee and mint...mmm... two notes I love. It is beautifully blended, starts sweet and cheerful, ends fresh and a bit maskuline. Sillage is very reduced, but hey, this is an EdC! It lasts long hours on the skin, but mostly in its second, more maskuline phase. Bottle and box are stunning, as always. Maybe not my favourite from the line, but totally worth a try. Update: it did become one of my favorites from the line, instant pick me up, so fresh, joyful and uplifting. I will probably buy a big bottle next. Love!

I'm usually skeptical towards fruit fragrances as they are mostly soooo sweeet, and I do not like to smell like I just spilled a box of juice on myself. But this one is different. Or not how you would expect. Lychee can be very sweet too, but I hoped that mint can take a lead here. I smelled it once and bought it right away. I do feel way more notes here then represented, and to me it's a perfect balance between energy and calmness. It's pure and bright, it's a bit green and a bit ozonic, my ride or die. If you are more on a side of naturalistic fragrances - try this! :)

It smells exactly like lychee and mint (mint is more prominent), smells natural, which is important for me. On my skin vanishes after few minutes and on clothes it is little better. It is more feminine but I would not mind if men would wear it. I do not regret blind buying 170 ml bottle, will be used as body spray and as room and pillow freshener. If I layer this scent twice on my skin it has better performance, so be generous with spritzes :-) It reminds me a little bit of Herba Fresca - sweet mint vibe.

I love it. I can definitely see it being shampoo like. The Lychee smells like Lychee eaten in rose water, less sweet, but the same slightly honey-esque floral. I am sure it's not rose, it might be hyacinth? Very weak and blended with the Lychee. I currently don't get as much mint as I'd hoped for (I'm crazy about mint), but the mint I get is more like a watermunt? Overall, a nice, subtle fresh scent, that isn't cold, but a little more powdery. I would like it if this one stayed under the radar, actually.

I absolutely love this scent from 4711! The opening is very citrus but as it dries down on my skin, the lychee notes become more prominent and becomes more powdery. The white mint gives off a certain coolness that doesn't feel or smell mentholated. On my skin, the lychee and white mint are well-balanced and gives off a refreshing and comforting scent. This is a fresh and fruity scent that is not overly sweet and wears well in high heat/humidity. I've used this as a pillow mist and hair mist too!

super fruity and citrusy, minty edge. Smells lke going to goodwill. Spending hours at goodwill. I tried so many things on, some lovely flowy tops ended up in my cart, and a pair of striped shorts. Summers' on its way. Been chewing on mint gum all day long, the mint lingers when you return home, though not as potent as it once was. You take a shower and enjoy a lychee soju margarita in the shower. Damn if that isn't life.

Love, love, love. The lychee is so strong here!!! An absolute great frag, performs well in the summer or winter, but the freaking lychee!!! God!! This is so yummi. It reminds me of Lacoste ́s Style in Play, so light, so fresh and, yet, so potent and strong. Great price also!

As this is an EDC, I treat it like a body spray rather than a fragrance that will last. Love the scent, super fresh, great for hot summer days. A lot of votes for unisex, I see, but I think it leans fem. Would take this over an overpriced Janeiro or other body spray any day.

This REALLY comes into it's own in high heat. I'm wearing it today during a heatwave in the UK (our buildings and general infrastructure aren't designed for hot weather so it gets pretty stressful, despite not coming close to the extreme heat in other countries!) And it's sweet, watery, bright and refreshing. Not cloying or strong. Lasts a couple of hours before I crave a respray. The mint gives it that tingly cooling feel you get with minty body wash and toothpaste. And yeah ok, it is a bit on the toothpasty side of things but I feel like it's more like a minty stick of rock.... the striped candy you get by the seaside. It has that sweetness from something unrecognisable but a tad fruity (like tutti-Fruity / Juicy Fruit!) but is mainly sweet mint. So very perfect for this time of year as I knew it would be! The only things I've smelt that give me a similar vibe are products in the "Dirty" line from Lush. Not the same but certainly the same sort of feel to the mintyness!

Opening is very citrusy, grapefruit-ish. Like Lebkuchen says, like unripe fruit. Slightly tart/bitter but fruity. After a few minutes the mint starts coming through and it becomes a little sweeter and very refreshing but also a little soapy. Honestly what it reminds me of the most is lemon water with mint, I dont really get the lychee. After 2 hours it becomes a weak grapefruit scent... The mint note is a lot stronger when smelling from the bottle so I was a little disappointed when I tried it on. Though it has no sillage, I could still smell it on my wrist almost 7 hours later. I think it will be a nice, fresh scent for summer but would definitely need to reapply every few hours. What you'd expect from a cologne I'd suppose, the bottle is really cute at least, cant complain at ~9 bucks for 50 ml.

I really like it. VERY CRISP, much more than I have experienced from other minty frags, so I guess the "white mint" is very specific and accurate. I hardly get any lychee. It does not disappear on me which seems to differ from others' experiences, but it lasts a few hours and it may actually be too one note for me, unlike the others from this line. I will keep testing and see if I find good days for it. I live in a hot climate, so it is pretty hot and muggy already, but it may be best in peak summer. Update: After sitting for a year, the lychee became more prominent. Lychee and mint are now on equal footing and I found myself reaching more for it over the summer.

I bought it in a sampler pack of 5 and this is one of my favourites. It has the most sass and the most fragrance of all of them. You can smell the fruity lychee, but not in a sweet way, but more in a citrussy, tangy, zesty way. More like an unripe fruit in the best possible way. It's one of the stronger ones of 4711, meaning that it actually lasts for quite some time (meaning in this scenario about 2-3 hours) and stays fresh. Great fresh, uplifting 4711 fragrance. I can see myself buying a full bottle.

Smells so fresh, clean and natural. There’s almost a tea like quality to the mint, and the lychee note adds the sweetness. Great summer fragrance. There used to be a White tea and ginger scent from BBW, and it reminds me of that. I absolutely adored that scent, and this is very similar to my nose.

Blind buy as I'm a 4711 freak - and I'm not sorry at all. Light fruity-fresh opening then dries down to a warm sweetness with slight touch of lasting mint. I went hard (for me) with four sprays and it wasn't even faintly oppressive. Has lasted six hours and counting.

I've been looking for a scent similar to the Olaplex oil/products and so far this has been the best find. The lychee is not too far from the grapefruit used in the oil. This is not too sweet, a bit tart, just slightly minty. A nice summer scent nevertheless.

Fresh, crisp and zingy. Neither note is too overpowering: the white mint has more of a mojito vibe than being toothpaste-y, and the lychee is juicy and fresh rather than sweet. Very refreshing for hot weather. Only lasts about an hour or two on me though.

This is a nice fragrance. The Lychee smells very natural, not overly sweet or sticky and the mint harmonizes perfectly with it. It is really a simple, but unique scent. Thumbs up!

Smells surprisingly powdery in the drydown for the notes mentioned. it is well blended, you have to focus strong to detect the lichy or the mint individually. Great composition

Stepping out of the shower and bursting with can-do energy. This scent is clean, energetic, and very inviting to anyone around you.

Fresh, linear fragrance with a body mist performance. Very good for the extreme heat.

This one is a pungent fruity green peppermint. Green, green, green. I wanted a mint fragrance and I've had a lot of fun lately with the 4711 brand so pulled the trigger on a cheap blind buy. It has a similar accord in the heart notes to what they called fig leaf in Un Jardin en Méditerranée from Hermes. Juicy, green, pungent, and a bit metallic. I thought that was noteworthy, since the Blood Orange and Basil 4711 reminded me of a different Jean Claude Ellena creation for the same Hermes line. Not a copy or anything close to it, but I'd be surprised if they didn't take some inspiration from the same source. Not my favorite of the five 4711 fragrances I've tried, but like the rest it punches way above its price tag and reminds me of things that have cost me a fair bit more in the past.

A little cloying, which I expected from the lychee, but DAMN. It opens nice, with the mint prominently apparent, but that mint also disappears quickly, leaving you smelling like an over-sweetened floral tea or a bag of jelly beans with a hint of soapiness. Which is a bummer because it seems to last a while. I don't hate it, but I'd probably prefer it in bath water. I never want it on my skin again. It's just too damn sweet and linear. I don't often say a fragrance gives me headaches, but this is kind of taking me there.

Beautiful bottle (I got the mini version) the glass pattern is so pretty I love having it on display. Smells like a Labello Chapstick. Not sweet but def leaning feminine. Not bad but I don't wear it on me, I like it on clothes or on my bed tho.

It's one of those fruity, shampoo-like smells. I wouldn't say unisex at all, it's super feminine for sure, specially as it dries down, at least that's what i could perceive on my skin. If you want to smell like you just took a shower, this is it, although I don't think it lasts super long tho. I think it's good for someone in high school.

Smells nothing like lychee or even anything tart. Whatever "mint" was in there was not fresh or herbaceous. The scent was cloying and overwhelming. Very synthetic scent that smells antiquated and stale. Yuck.

I blind bought this based off the glowing reviews on here and let me tell you I've never been so disappointed and let down my entire life. This smells like an old man wearing sharp aftershave who's sucking on a strong peppermint candy. I don't understand the people that say they don't smell this or that it's like a "body mist" LOL even after I showered and scrubbed my hand with a floral body wash, I could still smell this. I used to have a teacher that I hated who wore this heavy aftershave that smelled like this.. this took me back to that point in time in an instant. It's medicinal and alcohol heavy throughout the whole drydown too. Not a good combo. Moral of the story: take these reviews with a grain of salt.

smells like gum you’d get at world market. i chew chew chew and it’s yummy. would i wear it though? no. i don’t want to smell like gum. i want to chew on this some more—fine i won’t. but i reallllly wanna. i don’t know who would wear this but i trust them to recommend me a nice fruity tea.

This is awful :( It smells nothing of the real fruit and does a disservice to those who haven’t eaten lychee before. I’m not sure how lychee and mint can smell like cough syrup when combined but unfortunately, this smells like that.

Acqua Colonia Lychee & White Mint is a pleasantly light & fruity cologne of unusual composition. Certainly sweet, but not too sweet. This delicately, watery fruit accord reminds me of a semi-sweet diet fruit punch soda, ...I don't mean that as a slam. Of course, calling it 'lychee' is much more marketable. As for the 'white mint', don't expect anything like peppermint or spearmint. It is only a bright tingle of unspecific aromatic freshness; perfect for such a cologne. Perhaps, think of it as the sparkling bubbles in that afore-mentioned diet fruit soda. Overall, this makes for a curiously different cologne; one to try on a day when the unexpected is called for.

I'm still on the fence with Lychee & White Mint. I definitely understand the "retro" or "aftershave" comments. It starts off very promising with an aptly sweet "lychee" note and in no time (I'm talking ~30 seconds) the fragrance transitions to a slightly sweet mint note reminiscent of a "fresh breath" chewing gum from 20 years ago. With in minutes, the Lychee & White Mint becomes a very astringent (not quite icy) with a semi sweet note "aftertaste." Interesting, but I am not totally impressed. I'll keep testing, though, because that's the fun in fragrances... will it eventually "click"?

A very refreshing cologne offering. The bottle and the entire presentation are prettier than expected. The mint is refreshing and sharp, definitely not the spearmint variety, more like peppermint. The lychees are quite delicate to my nose and not sweet. Somehow this combination smells distinctively on my skin for a little while, and then it turns into juniper...or something aromatic resembling that. It's unisex for sure, even slightly masculine. It has no citrus, which unusual for a 4711 cologne. I'll probably enjoy it in the summer.

Ugh. The rest in this set are pleasant albeit faint and weak. This was stronger and lasted a smidge longer (an hour or so) but was off putting. A fruity rosy note with a very loud, sharp, “perfume-y” accord that was unpleasant. I was glad it faded into a faint waxy, fruity hint.

This brand is the oldest in the book. Looks boring but you cant go wrong with a classic!

This one reminds me of Granada salvia by guerlain somehow
