4711 Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit

Sentimental scent to me. Reminds me Merz Apothecary from Chicago where I actually first time saw this brand and learned about 4711. First I got classic one... Than after this was my second most loved fragrance. I had so many complients on it. Even my auntie started to use it because of me. Its so fresh and energizing. I even purchased the soap with a same ingredience and taking shower with that soap its a best part of morning. If your coffee doesnt work spray it at work you will get energy boost. Its just such a happy scent. Today I have purchased my bottle at 4711 Brugge store in Belgium. Second 4711 butique after Koln.

So far, I enjoy this scent more than any other in this particular line - which is unusual, because I really don't like grapefruit. I'm not crazy about eating it and I'm not crazy about smelling it. But, I don't know - something about this mixture leaves me really enjoying it. The grapefruit isn't overly strong and it's accompanied by the pink pepper, which adds just a bit of spice to the sweet and sourness of the citrus. It's well-balanced and very refreshing. Perfect for relaxing or wearing in any situation I can think of.

I'm in love with the pink pepper note in general: it gives the perfume a bit of fresh spiciness. Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit is exactly what the name promises: grapefruit with a bit of spice. I sprayed some on my skin and on my clothes to make it stronger. The longevity on clothes is better than I expected, I was still getting wiffs of fresh citrus about 6 hours later.

For the value, this is a great buy. This can be a unisex frag. Initially when using it I thought it a little masculine. After pairing it with Sephora grapefruit body lotion it's much more wearable. It is weak though and needs to be refreshed every few hours. The scent is fresh, unique, uplifting and tart. My favorite of the acqua Colonia lines.

I always have a purse spray filled with Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit with me on my way to work. After a long day I love to use this as a quick way to refresh the senses. ACPP&G reminds me a little bit of Cartier Declaration with its beautiful aromatic opening. The opening is the part I love the most, the drydown is quiet and soft.

Oh, this is LOVE! Starts off with a refreshing blast of grapefruit and then some pink pepper. Dries down quickly leaving only hints of pepper. I get only a few hours at a time (something you should know prior to purchase. I did so it wasn't a let down) but these are most enjoyable. Definitely my current summer chilling favorite.

The bitterness of the grapefruit pulls an herbaciousness out of the pink pepper. It's barely worth describing, because it's so easy to recommend. Really awesome stuff. Out of the examples in this line I've tried, this is my second favorite. It might even be a tie with my most favorite, the Blood Orange & Basil.

I am loving grapefruit! I think its both men and women. It does have a scent of men kolonische wasser, but the total overall gives me happiness.. and zest... fresh grapefruit closed in bottle.... with pink pepper... gives the notes - my top 10 fragrances globally....4711 ACQUA COLONIA PINK PEPER & GRAPEFRUIT.

Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit is one of my favourite fragrances to wear in the Summer, specifically due to its crisp freshness. December in the Southern Hemisphere is extremely humid, and this cologne is a beautiful pick-me up that smells of holiday and happiness. An absolute LOVE for me.

Absolutly my favorite one for Summer. Love it after the shower. It makes me feel happy, clean and fresh. It's very comfortable for the office so I use it almost every day. I need to have always one bottle or two. Sadly in Argentina is very hard to get it.

Opens with a huge grapefruit blast...then the pepper comes in...calms down to a soft hum...I get maybe three hours tops on my skin...huge bottle for very little money...worth checking out if you are a grapefruit fan...

It’s described as euphoric, and I couldn’t agree more. Fresh, zingy and a tiny hint of spice. Absolutely glorious!

Terre d'Hermes in eau de cologne concentration, only with more grapefruit. I love it.

This one is really well made. I normally don ́t like grapefruit but this one does not smells like sweat. When i first spray it it is very citric but it fades quickly to a rosy smell from the pink pepper. You can still smell the grapefruit until the end, but it is well balanced with the pepper. I also don ́t normally like rosy smells, i think rose fragrances normally smell like old lady but this one feels modern to me (my husband think it is "old lady" though). I bought the box with the 5 mini fragrances (lime & nutmeg, Lemon & Ginger, Mandarine & Cardamom, Blood orange & basil, pink pepper and grapefruit) and this one is the most feminine of them all. good for day and night, specially on summer ( but can work on winter too) Longevity is a problem like with the other fragrances of the line. they should sell this as an eau de toilette or eau de parfum,it would be better. But still, this line has really good colognes. note: 8/10

The bottle is just so great looking. It's classy to say the least. Then you spray it, and sharp burst of citrusy grapefruit hits your nose. And the sharpness is piercing. But the smell disappears after 30 minutes or so on my skin. I'm a guy and wanted something I could add to water and spray myself all over after taking a shower, and it does the job awesomely and my body smells fresh for a while. I added a ml or two pineapple fragrance oil to the mix..so water, this cologne, and pineapple oil - and I got this incense-like smell that lingers longer and it smells like the dry-down of Bleu De Chanel. It's awesome. I would recommend it as an after shower freshen-me-up cologne and would say to add water and make a mist spray kinda thing.

Very very fresh grapefruit scent. The freshness sits so high in the nose that it feels almost like ice rather than a scent. It's difficult to describe: It's like icy grapefruit. Not warm, not rich, not sweet, but icy grapefruit. So it's not going to be Hermes L'Eau De Pamplemousse (which is rich, sweet and warm). Pink Pepper Grapefruit hits you with an icy feeling in your nose. It makes you question if you smell anything at all as it's so icy and fresh. Very interesting experience. I probably won't buy the whole bottle (bought it in a mini sampler set of 5), but I can see how it can be intriguing for a lot of people.

Another well done refreshing Cologne from the 4711 Acqua Colonia range. The opening grapefruit blast is tart and wakes you up, then the rosey scent from the pink pepper lingers. As a Cologne this obviously won’t last long, but by using it with the shower gel and body lotion I do get light whiffs all day. This layers well with other fruity florals, such as Armani Si Passione, which also has pink pepper and pineapple - I completely agree with you Root - 4711 Pink Pepper and Grapefruit works wonderfully with pineapple.

A light version of grapefruit with a friendly pink pepper. They are both distinctive scents, quite unique in its own. But here, and perhaps because this is a (true) cologne, both notes seem to be working at half power. They stay there, sailing quietly until they disappear completely. i like it but sadly nobody around you will have the pleasure to smell it.

I understand that this is a unisex cologne and I agree it can be definitely unisex. I'm female trying it out. As a cologne it doesn't last long on my skin. I've found myself reapplying it several times during the day. I do like the bright and clean scent and don't mind reapplying it more often than I do with my other scents.

I really rather like this scent which I bought in the spring. Surprisingly, it seems to appeal even more during these cold winter months. Perhaps that is because I am at the end of the bottle and realise that soon I shall no longer enjoy the simple beauty of its composition.

I love this! It' s fresh, it revives you! At the same time it kind of calmes me down. It destresses me ;-) . Ok it isn't longlasting, my bottle is practical half empty already. When you first spray it, sillage is good, but then it kind of disappears... Citrusy all the way!

Candied grapefruit peel with a pinch of spices. Not great but I love it. Fresh, simple, aromatic, mouth-watering. Bit flat but with this price? Absolutely understandable. Stays on my skin longer than I expected. Very refreshing and pleasant. Highly recommend. 7.5/10

Smells like a freshly sliced Grapefruit on ice. Has a bit of spice from pink pepper. The fragrance is fleeting. It doesn't have the longest staying power. If you like a bright, brisk Grapefruit, this is good.

I love this scent. Fresh uplifting citrus, floral. Not strong but does last for hours on clothing. My favorite of this line. I love wearing it early in the morning & also any warm/hot day. Great price.

Unbeatable freshness for such a cheap price. This is a summer staple. If you have no problem reapplying every 3 hours then it's all good and you should get it.

Fresh and lightly sweet grapefruit with a twist of pink pepper. It reminds me of an upscale cocktail. Like all 4711's offerings, this one has a short longevity - though a faint muskiness lingers for a few hours after the rest of the scent has faded.

Smells like pacific lime from Atelier Cologne. Minty grapefruit. 7.4/10

I was so exited to try this new Acqua Colonia, but it let me down. From the first spray you get a grapefruit and pink pepper (less fragrant and sweeter smelling than a black pepper). Than the smell quickly turns to very(!) watered down sweet-citrusy with a pinch of pepper. It didn't leave me happy or wanting more. The smell to me is super diluted and uninspiring. It stays longer on my clothes then on a skin. It fell short, and it doesn't belong in the same line as older 4711 Acqua Colonia.

Starts off good, but soon becomes dominated by a strong and bitter grapefruit note, like the peel. Maybe more suitable for men? A piercing scent. I dig the bottle designs of this line though.

I love original 4711 ... I love grapefruit. When I read these review I thought this would be a great addition for me. I bought it and was so excited to smell that bright bracing grapefruit and subtle pepper. WHAT A LET DOWN - its gross ... it smells like old oil, a musty shoe found in an attic, my dogs, well, anyway. Its terrible. nothing even remotely citrusy or bright. its dark and miserable. Anyone want my bottle?

4711 Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit, ...yet another hit from a historic house that obviously knows how to make cologne. Of the five scents in the 4711 Acqua Colonia line that I've sampled recently, this is certainly the most sharp and dry, ...and obviously so, pink pepper and grapefruit will do just that, ...and an instant classic, in that regard. However, it also possesses a intrigingly savory quality that I less fully expected. Indeed, 4711 should consider releasing an actual spice blend based off this fragrance. One consisting of just pink peppercorns and grapefruit zest. If it's a remarkable cologne, why not also a remarkable seasoning? I can't wait to repeatedly douse myself in various Acqua Colonia scents throughout the coming hot season.

Its useless to argue about its longevity and sillage, they are all eau de cologne line with a maximum of 2 hours of longevity. Sooner you realize it more enjoyable these fragrances will be. However, beside grapefruit and pink pepper, there is something extra in it and its not good. Some cartoon box type of smell that seems off. Or maybe its the way these two notes come together and create this impression with me. Either way I will pass on this

I enjoy the line but I'm not a fan of this one. I like the pink peppery part but not the grapefruit, because to my nose grapefruit in perfumes always smells a bit like armpit sweat. That said the scent is well made for a cologne, like other ones in the line. They are affordable and longlasting and usually good for your mood. They make good summer scents.

I love the whole Acqua Colonia line, but this one did not delight me that much. It starts with a beautiful, fresh grapefruit, beautifully balanced by pink pepper. Unfortunately this part quickly fades and it remains a fresh, nice but way too masculine scent on me. I appreciate it, but it is just not the scent that makes me feel good.

I think it's pretty good. At first "sniff" it's a citrus scent while a couple of minutes later it turns into something that reminds me of my beloved "eau des merveilles" by Hermes. Must be the pink pepper... I consider it suitable for any season, be it sunny or rainy. It doesn't last long though.

Wow!! citrusy, flowery, grapefruit. Amazing. Fresh, invigorating, exhilarating! Seriously great, well done. I used the gel in the shower and it made my entire morning like a walk in the park with my dog in the spring. Highly recommended if you like the ̈someone smells good effect ̈.

A fresh and bright grapefruit with a little added texture from the pink pepper. It dries down to a semi sweet airy grapefruit. Lasts a few hours and works well in high heat without getting cloying. Definitely enjoy this one and is great for daily casual wear.

Wow wow wow so pretty this is so lovely I immediately ordered 3 more perfumes from 4711 I am crazy about fresh perfumes how come I never tried these?!?

Delightful. A zesty citrus with a little kick to give it depth. Sinks in quickly, but I get hints of it when i move for a couple hours after.

the pepper part is fleeting, but the grapefruit is really good (not armpit-like at all)and lasts longer than I thought.

I can't find these anywhere here in Australia! Help!!!
