4711 Acqua Colonia Pomelo & Sea Salt

One of my favorites from the Acqua Colonia line and I love so many of them! Very fresh, but one of the more perfumey of the line (same with Myrrh & Kumquat) and somehow pretty. I wish it were easier to find so I could get backups because this is one of the few I would get backups for. If you are into salty scents, then this is a must try, imho. It's intimate, but not as much as the original. I can still smell it 12 hours later on my arm. I layered it today with Wulong Cha and the match was heavenly, but effortless, especially for a warm muggy day.

I LOVE THIS!! This cuts thru high heat on parched summer days like no other! It is so relaxing and truly refreshing, like a shower of cool salty water and zesty pomelo that then mellows down on the skin. I have no problem re-applying this, that’s what colognes are for.

Really nice fresh summer cologne. It has sweet citrus, creamy-fresh florals and a gentle salty-musk. The salty accord is more “salty summerskin” than “marine”. Leans feminine.

It smells much better on my skin than on paper. The opening is really pleasant, it is like cutting open a pomelo, a good mixture of sourness and bitterness, juicy and fresh. Shortly after there is this floral note, which personally I find sharp and artificial. The citrusy freshness somewhat weakens. Let it sit on your skin for a while to let it develop. You will get this clean salty smell in the background. It does not really bring me to a beach, but it definitely makes the hot summer day more bearable.

Pretty, but incredibly salty! I think this could be a bit headache inducing for some due to the salt being so intense, but it’s definitely lovely. It layers nicely with the Coconut want yuzu, but it’s much stronger than that one so it still dominates! It’s hard to find so I’d say it’s only worth tracking down if you know you REALLY like salty perfumes!
