4711 Acqua Colonia Royal Riesling

on me it's an elegant, sparkling, dry and bitter eau de cologne: use it for years now, and whenever i need sth classy and refreshing, clean and not overwhelming, sth non sweet, here it is! don't know why they call it royal Riesling, to me it could be called fancy gin ;) the dry down again is wonderful woody, warm and soft, although there remains sth fresh even after hours. can't get enough especially in summer but also in autumn and winter. It's an office scent, too.

I did get the white grape after all those herbal notes settled down, and it doesn't remind me original 4711 at all, the original 4711 has more fresh mint feeling and Royal Riesling is more sweet especially during the dry down. Guess it depends on different skin chemistries. not very long lasting though. As a cologne water, it makes me feel comfortable and i like its sweetness.

The opening is tooooo SHARP, reminding me cheap cleaning products ( NOT LEMON ). The most disappointing one in the series

On my skin, all i can smell is coffee. Not pleasing at all, at least for me.

Don't expect a juicy white grape scent we've all been accustomed to in candies. I've been in contact with grape water from Caudalie so I'd roughly know what actual grape water smells like. This is it- grapes soaked in water, mildly fragrant and almost floral with a little sourness. It's okay, decent but I wouldn't wear it. I'd probably use it when I'm cleaning surfaces if I purchased a bottle. Verdict: nice, but not stunning.

I wanted a fragrance with grape so I ordered this. But when I got it I was disappointed. It's a classic cologne water with just sharp opening, some grape can be smelled only when it settles down. I think there must be other notes, not only grape. It's a short lasting one, so it can be good for summer as a refreshing fragrance. And yes, It's unisex.

I agree it has an herbal scent, although for me it's still much too similar to the Original 4711 Kölnisch Wasser... not bad, it's light, but not my cup of tea... my grandma used to wear the the original one and it really did fit to her, but I cannot imagine myself wearing it...

I DON'T THINK IT SMELLS LIKE GRAPES OR FRUITY, IT HAS SORT OF AN HERBAL FLORAL SCENT, IT'S NICE AND LONG LASTING. I ENJOYED THE LEMON/GINGER ONE MORE THOUGH:)
