4711 Lily Of The Valley

Fresh, intense cologne, which evokes warm spring atmospheres. A romantic walk on a warm spring day on a lush Mediterranean island: harsh citrus hints of bergamot immersed in sweet fruity notes of pear and acidic hints of redcurrant, a blend immersed in floating aquatic notes where joyful white floral notes of the victorious lily of the valley emerge and delicate freesia, a graceful whisper of rose. On the dry down, the enveloping, woody and reassuring notes of musk and sandalwood seal warm and sensual emotions on the skin. A fragrance that I would define as fluid gender, also perfect for men's skin.

This was a blind buy from the chemist. It was very inexpensive which is great because I’m uncharacteristically indecisive about whether or not I actually like this fragrance. I can’t even pick it apart enough to decide which parts I am responding to favorably and unfavorably. In theory I should love it. I’m absolutely on the fence though. It’s Winter where I live, perhaps it’s the wrong season for this one. I shall try again when it warms up.

This one has gotta be one of my favorite smells, fresh, kind of dry, and tart. Does smell kind of conventionally "perfumey" but honestly a very good unisex fragrance, especially with the watery notes. Very good floral to try if you're a man. I like to layer it with Demeter Honey and it gives it a nice nectar note. Very lovely for warm weather.

This parfums is great. It’s slightly manly which (as a man myself) gives it a lighter scent. Not as bedwelming and sweet. For any guy considering this, do it. It’s damn attractive, like I want to smell my neck all day long. I’ll probably will get some girls with this scent. hopefully ;)

I really enjoy this fragrance. Normally I associate Lily of the Valley as being bright, sparkling, vivid and sharp. This one is dry and almost fluffy. I can see myself wearing this to bed with linen PJ’s. The longevity and sophistication is more elevated than other 4711’s I have tried.

90% Lily of the Valley 10% Freesia soap. The best one I found so far after Yves Rocher Muguet Original. This is for the people who like EA Green Tea, but without the sweetness. 4711, please make your fragrances last longer and have more projection.

My first reaction was that oh dear, yet another bad blind buy. There is something in it that smells similar to lily of the valley but on the other hand, it also smells like a cheap air-freshener. I will sell it if possible. But after having tried Diorissimo and Penhaligon's versions, this one is actually better than those, still far away from the Yves Rocher Muguet En Fleurs. With this comparison in mind, this could be an achievement. I can imagine how some people may like it. The author of this also made Amouage Reflection Man which is an amazing scent. But he also made Amouage Ciel Woman (20 years earlier) where I actually smelt real lily of the valley even without this note being mentioned.

Soapy synthetic floral. Best of the 4711 floral line that I have sampleed but not great. Inexpensive.
