#136 of My Fragrance Journey - 4711 Remix Cologne Lavender Edition: A reset button disguised as a fragrance This one's a 4711 reinterpretation of the classic cologne shape, and honestly - it's not trying to dominate anything. It feels more like someone hit pause. A breath, basically, before the day gets loud again. The opening is just... calm. Lavender's the queen here, and it's my favourite kind - aromatic, soft, a little sweet, properly floral, not the sharp barbershop version. It's the smell of midsummer dew, that exact window right after dawn when the garden's still wet and cold and the sun hasn't decided to show up yet. Bergamot and lemon brighten it, but there's mate tea sitting underneath, keeping the citrus from going clinical on you. Lavender fields at sunrise, crisp linen moving in warm air, that weirdly specific spa-quiet feeling. A breath between everything else. As the dew burns off - and it does, fast - the heart shows up smooth. Freesia, a powdery iris, a touch of hibiscus seed. There's a moment where it leans soapy, almost premium-laundry, but it carries that off with some grace. Never heavy. More like you've booked yourself a private spa day without telling anyone. Then it settles into white musk and sandalwood, with a faint praline ghost running through it - just enough sweetness to round the edges. It stops feeling like perfume at that point and starts feeling more like an atmosphere you're wearing. Quiet confidence. Presence, not projection. Doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, masculine or feminine or otherwise. Here's the catch, though - it doesn't stick around. Top notes are gone in thirty to forty-five minutes, and by hour two or three, you're basically down to a private skin-scent. It was never built to project across a room or last all day. Which actually makes sense for what it's for: hot days, straight out of the shower, slow Sunday mornings, bedtime. Not really a fragrance you wear to be smelled. More, one you wear to feel something. If you want sharpness or tension or a moment where it bites, you won't get it here, and that softness can edge toward "safe" if you're in the wrong mood for it. But I don't think that's a flaw exactly. It's just not trying to be that. Its whole job is being a reliable little ritual you keep coming back to - cheap enough, calm enough, that resetting becomes something you can actually afford to do often. It's not asking to be noticed. It's asking something quieter than that - when's the last time you let yourself actually pause? I bought this one blind along with another lavender fragrance(Acca Kappa Blue Lavender) in my never-ending search to replace my vintage bottle of Yardley English Lavender. I have to say, I fell in love with this one hard and fast, and it's the one I go to now when I feel the need for a whiff of lavender in my life. The lavender isn't as in your face as with English Lavender, which means my search for a replacement continues. However, Remix 4711 Lavender is simply a beautiful scent. I love the clean, crisp, almost sharp opening of lavender and citrus (again, I'm a lavender addict, so sometimes I just need that hit of lavender to feel calm and happy). After that, the dry down moves into something bright yet soft, a bit powdery and yet not as powdery as the Blue Lavender. In fact, the scent reminds me of lavender scented laundry hanging in sunlight. Which is very specific, I know, but it's a nice, comforting scent that I enjoy on those low-key days when I just want to be. It's not a very impactful scent, and stays close to the skin, so I don't think this would work as a signature fragrance. But it's just beautiful and balanced enough to work for any day, any weather. My only gripe is that it unfolds and fades really fast, and I wish it would stick around for longer. That said, I bought it knowing it's not an eau de perfum, so I love it as it is.

I'm super late in the 4711 fan train....but boy oh boy am I glad to have found it! These colognes are absolutely delish! Not in a gourmand but in an "I bathe in sunshine & flowers, while I live in a cozy sunny bright beachside cottage" Ever since I learned that one of favorite fragrances by Philosophy (Philosophy the scent, A Fragrance For Your Soul) has been discontinued I've been on a lookout for something that would replace that longing. After over a decade I stumbled upon some YT reviews of 4711 fragrances and I was intrigued. A quick Google search showed that some stores in the UAE (where I'm based) do sell these (but only online) I blind bought this Lavender and another Bergamot one. I'm so happy with both the scents, but this one is definitely my favorite. It's just super feminine and delicate and oh so fresh! It's energetic while being relaxing (if that makes sense?) Now I'm obsessed with wanting more from this perfume house and I already ordered the 5 minis box set as well as the Neroli Remix version. Definitely worth the money plus a sure hit blind buy! Highly recommend!

I blind bought it for £8 online and I couldn't be happier. It's so beautiful. A very soft, powdery, citrussy lavender. The powder is soft, creamy and non-screechy. So it's more like a creamy, silky musk, rather than a loud, metallic musk. The citrus, powder and lavender are very well blended and nothing stands out. The 4711 DNA is still there, but toned down to a bit more of a powdery soft scent. It's not as fresh and "cold" as the usual 4711 DNA. It doesn't have a lot of projection or sillage. It's more of a light body scent. For £8 per 100ml bottle I cannot complain about this. I wasn't expecting anything else from a 4711 flanker. They are all body scents. Perfect for the gym or for freshening up without insulting anyone around you.

This is lovely and delicious! Picked this up at TJ Maxx today for $13 and I couldn't be more pleased. It is light and natural. Citrussy and Lavender up top, but within minutes a lovely light young-smelling iris and a very pleasant, smooth musc joins in and slowly takes over. I don't really detect a tea or a hibiscus note. I associate both with a certain astringency that I cannot sense here. Lasts a while considering the EDC status. 100% would buy again, at full price, too. Found my inexpensive, dumb reach for the summer!

I love this one🥰 I find it very relaxing and cocooning without being to sweet. It is one that surprised me and grew on me. A perfect at-home scent year round, and it also helps me fall asleep in the evening💜

My mother managed to snag this at a TJ Maxx for a song, and she kindly shared a bottle with me. At first, I was hesitant. The notes list contains three things that usually don't bode well for me -- namely, a focus on lavender, iris notes, and (presumably white) musk (musk can go either way on me, and "clean, white laundry-style musk" isn't normally a winner). However, it's a 4711 creation and it's a new-to-me perfume, so am I going to let a little thing like past experience stop me? I don't think so! The citrus notes show up right away, but they don't last long. Lavender definitely takes center stage in this composition. The iris is also prominent, and feels powdery. (I don't *always* appreciate powdery compositions, but here, I find myself... not minding quite so much? I didn't expect that.) However, it stops short of veering into "baby powder" territory, which is a good thing. At times, I can smell a *hint* of the original 4711 DNA lurking in the background -- usually, when I put my nose to my wrist and inhale deeply (I experience a faint echo of citrus, lavender, and neroli, even though it isn't listed). Aside from that, this perfume retains its own unique character. It may have taken its inspiration from the original, but it clearly branched out in a different direction. In terms of strength and longevity, it far exceeded *any* expectations I had of an EdC, based upon my previous experience with the original. This stuff lasts for *hours.* It may not be a powerhouse in terms of projection, but it certainly clings to my skin. I can still detect whiffs of this long after application, and I don't need to reapply this as often as I do the original 4711. (However, it should be noted that, given the price and nature of *any* 4711 fragrance, the need for frequent reapplication is not something I consider in a negative light. I merely mean to say that the longevity of the Lavender Remix surpassed any preconceived expectations I may have had about the product.) I find that the soft drydown is my favorite stage of its development. At that point, most of the powder fades away, and a lingering, soft, mildly sweet floral aroma remains. For those who are curious about the link between the scent of lavender and sleep, I have to admit... I feel asleep faster than usual while wearing this to bed one night. It has a calming, soothing aura. All perfumes have their time and place; this one does not throw off "come-hither" vibes, so I wouldn't expect to woo a suitor on a date night with it. However, it's perfect for cozying up with a book and a cup of chamomile tea before bed. Once again, the perfume world surprised me. Something I had my doubts about turned out to be... quite interesting!

Just bought it for 4€ - it's very light skin scent with nonexistent sillage but with quite good longevity for an EDC. Very good quality - all ingredients smells very natural non artificial. U can smell all the notes and the scent is the opposite of lineal - in fact u can smell all the three stages very distinctive - it starts very unisex citrussy resembling of cK One - but don't let u put off by this...soon the citrus dissappear completely and u can get the more feminine floral heart of hibiscus, freesia and mainly levandule and iris. The dry down ist my most favourite part - very beautiful and feminine lightly sweet iris with praline and vanillary musk. The bottle is classic vintage and very Cologne City chick 🏰

Surprisingly good longevity for a cologne: I could smell it on my hand for 4-5 hours, although it stayed close to skin. It opens with citrus, but quickly morphs into a lovely and refreshing floral scent. Regrettably I cannot distinguish lavender in particular. I think this would be nice in summer, fresh, inoffensive, not a masterpiece, but suitable for any occasion even in very hot weather.

i loooooove this on fabric but on my skin its so so powdery and i usually dont mind powder but here it drowns out the lavender and lemon completely to me! but on my shirts the lemon lingers and its so zesty w the lavender. will be great on my bedding all spring and summer! and always nice to keep smelling your blouse all day.

First impression is fresh floral definitely Iris with a very powdery dry down. I do not get any lavender but more a baby powder or Cashmeran note. It's inoffensive, it's fine for a drugstore brand.

Lovely. At first I didn’t think I would really like it as the initial spray is quite soapy smelling. However the citrus gives it a sparkling iridescence that is just beautiful.

I don't hate it and it doesn't smell bad, but it isn't for me. This is definitely more of a sweeter, soapier English lavender, and I prefer the chalkier, cooler feeling French lavender. I am also picky about musks and would prefer it without the slight muskiness. That being said, it is the kind of lemony lavender scent I was going for, when I first started experimenting with home scents, so it will still have a use for me for freshening up rooms and things of that nature, but it isn't my favorite even of home scents. I think the orange is actually my favorite of the Remix Collection though the Acqua Colonia line is still the best (along with the minty Ice Blue dabbers) IMHO.

I couldn’t wait to try it when I saw it at a pharmacy in Munich. The top notes of lavender and bergamot were fresh and summery. The price was attractive (around 15€), too. But I didn’t buy it because the ‘carefree’ pleasant scent was gone within five seconds. The musky drydown was not off-putting, neither was it adorable.

I was excited to try this. Lavender sometimes bothers my allergies, but not in this form. It's perfect for humid climates and I get compliments from my spouse when I wear it. It lasts longer on clothing than the skin, but being familiar with the brand and having lived in Germany, I knew what I was purchasing. It's an uplifting and calming scent for those days that prove to be full of frustrating family, but eventually mellows out. The lavender is not too florally and the citrus is enough to stir the senses, but not be offensive to the nose. It clean, calming, and bright. Familiar with the original, but different in it's own aesthetics.

I get bergamot, lavender, iris and white musk from it. Very nice, clean, calming and fresh. Not very long lasting, but I am sure no one expects that when it comes to 4711. I get decent 3-4 hours longevity out of it though. I like it a lot and recommend it to people who are looking for aromatic fresh lavender cologne which is rounded by clean white musk and softened by iris.

At first, it smells like a toilet cleaner, later, like a powdery soap. This smells cheap. There are better budget lavender fragrances out there and better colognes from this brand.

Lavander is very tender here, iris and musk I find more detectable. It is very light and close to the skin but lasting

noseeating and disappointing. I'll skip this one and stick with the last year's.

A purple perfume but make it peaceful, non sensual, non femme fatale vibe. 💜
