Catch Feelings

Earthy rose with the fresh pepper-y of the grapefruit note to lighten things up. Unique. This is my college friend Sarah with her long brown hair, camping out in the piney woods of the southwest, by the fire after a hot day at the music festival. She always smelled of roses, patchouli and carried around a huge leather hobo bag with some of those cinnamon soaked toothpicks at the bottom of her clutter. The 3D warmth of this frag has me thinking she is sitting right next to me. Conversely, the quality rose notes in harmony with the suede note creates a put-together classy vibe of a tailored woman (or guy) perfect for any professional scenario. Good projection and sillage, sharp-ish if over sprayed.

I bought the Discovery set for this house because everything in there looked so good, but I ended up really liking Catching Feelings and Life of the Party. Catching Feelings is the only one that has a pleasant rose note without getting super floral and heady which often gives me headaches. The vetiver and suede help ground it and this also has a LYCHEE NOTE which is a scent profile I've been looking for and I can smell it on my own skin. I'm trying to save up and probably wait till spring or summer arrives so I can get the bottle and spray it all over myself.

The most beautiful fragrance from them to date! It's such a fresh rose, you can almost smell the damp cold soil. The litchi and grapefruit note gives it a sparkly edge. I would say that this is the only rose and litchi fragrance I've tried that doesn't fall into powdery grandma territory. This fragrance is for those that are looking for a rose/fruity scent that's not mature or overly sweet, but rather unique, fresh and cool.

This is unique, floral, fruity, and warm but does not last long or project. This is only worth me buying the travel size, but you will go through this bottle. It smells fantastic, but the performance is weak. However, I liked it enough to replenish it. It's safe to say that this is probably good as a refresher, maybe from being outside, being around smokers, or coming from the gym.

I think it might be the suede but the rose in this is very different compared to others I've smelled. This comes off as more of a dark powdery rose which is really interesting paired with the grapefruit which gives it a more fun and girly vibe. To me it smells like a seductive yet fun and flirty party girl. I really like this one.

My favorite of the 5 sens bunch. The grapefruit mixes well with the rose to make an uplifting yet peaceful fragrance. It’s a green garden rose and not a powdery rose, which makes it feel youthful and not “old”. It reminds me of eating pink grapefruit in the summer time. I didn’t pick up the suede note but that’s just me.

This is such a unique rose perfume. The name is perfect for it. It has a romantic and seductive quality to it, rather than being sweet and bright. It’s my go-to for whenever I want to smell nice but am not in the mood for perfumy perfumes if that makes sense. This is just very fresh.

I absolutely love this perfume. When I first spray it, I smell pretty strong suede but it drys down to a beautiful mix of rose and grapefruit. It's a rose perfume that doesn't remind me of a Grandma. However, it probably isn't a safe blind buy.

Most of the reviews for Catch Feelings focus on a woman's experience, so I wanted to provide a male point of view on this intriguing fragrance. Although unisex, it definitively leans feminine. The fragrance explodes with an intensely tart grapefruit top note. It's bright and invigorating, perfectly setting the stage for a warm-weather wear. Then it evolves into something more complex and grounded. The bright rose is noticeably subdued, taking a back seat as the fragrance dries. It transforms into a beautifully blended woody musk dominated by a prominent, velvety suede accord. I also detected subtle, dry nuances of unlit incense and crisp vetiver. 🧐 Comparison & Vibe Not sure why every fresh rose fragrance needs to be discussed in the context of Parfums de Marly Delina, but here goes: The initial mix of bright citrus and a hint of lychee places it in the same general ballpark as Delina. However, Catch Feelings is leathery and musky, and the lychee is muted. The leather notes fundamentally distinguish it. Performance & Wearability: An Intimate Experience After a generous application, my personal wear experience was an intimate, skin-close perfume defined by musky woods, a salty undertone, and delicate leather. While the rose did surface as the scent warmed on my skin, it unfortunately lacked the prominence I had hoped for. This is, without question, a skin scent. It exhibits soft projection and has virtually zero sillage (scent trail).

I’m prepared for someone to think I’m out of my mind but the grapefruit and rose here and the bergamot and rose in Arabian’s Tonka make this soooo similar to my nose, only I can’t stand Arabian’s Tonka and I really like this. Its one of the strangest contradictions I’ve come across in my perfume experience because they’re like fraternal twins; so so similar, but also very distinct from one another. I don’t have any other roses that are this sweet and dry, despite the fruit notes, it must be the vetiver. I’m intrigued. Also if you’re a big lychee fan I don’t get much of it here, it plays a sugary role that just glues the notes together.

I didn't expect to like this one, but it's such a nice little perfume! This is a fresh rose, neither too sweet or too green. The grapefruit also doesn't stand out to me- it's more like a harmony with the rose. The leathery notes and the woody vetiver really make the perfume, though. I like the dry down best of all. Not the strongest perfume, nor the most original, but this is a solid buy, especially at its price point. I've definitely paid more for worse.

Suede adds velvet uniqueness to another rose litchi fragrance and the grapefruit adds a more sharp citrus approach to the scent. I'm really loving the suede vibe. 'sharp, tart, semi-sweet and velvety'

Smells Like it could be Delina's younger cousin. She's bright eyed and fresh but soft and demure. Intimate sillage, could see myself wearing this one to bed.

This is the 2nd of the 5 sens discovery set I tried. This really wasn't anything impressive to me. I don't mind a woody dry down but I'm not much of a rose fan and I hate leather. Luckily for me the leather didn't come through strong enough to cause the usual headache the note gives me. With that said, this was a scent that even gifted, I likely wouldn't ever gravitate to. On top of that it has very little projection and doesn't last. While I think this leans feminine, I'm sure some men would like this and pull it off well.

I smell a little rose at the start, but the fruit disappears right away and it dries down woody on me. Pretty on others, my skin said “ absolutely not”.

Barely smells...also smells like baby wipes or powdery soap to me. Good thing I only got a sample.

Oh man. This scent is crazy beautiful. She’s classy, she’s elegant, she’s put together, she’s clean, she’s flirty, she’s soft, she’s feminine. I can see the resemblance to Delina but this is softer to me with more rhubarb. I think this is easier to wear than Delina too and I prefer this. Plus it’s a third of the price of Delina which is just a bonus! Side story- I bought a travel size of this maybe 1-2 years ago and remember thinking it was nice but not memorable. I threw it in a cabinet and forgot about it. I just pulled it out today and I can’t believe I have been sleeping on this! I don’t know if my taste in perfume has changed or it just needed to macerate, or maybe a combo of both, but now I think it’s one of the most beautiful compositions I have smelled in a long time. Get a travel size at Sephora for $29, spray it a couple of times, let it macerate for 1-2 months and then give her a go 🌹

This was an instant love for me. It’s not the most unique scent ever, but it’s different enough for its genre. The addition of vetiver and suede really give this an earthy, almost peppery vibe but it still feels fresh. It reminds me of Hayley Kyoko Hue but not as creamy, and a little more spicy and earthy. I really enjoy this for an easy, casual, every day scent. I think this is pretty unisex as well.

sooo sexy!! i absolutely love the dry down, and how dry and woody it becomes. i usually am not a fan of rose, but the suede cuts through it perfectly for me to wear. it smells like a woman standing on business, while also looking like a million bucks as she does it.

Sparkling grapefruit bows into a green fresh and youthful rose on a base of what smells like cedarwood shavings. I would buy if I didn’t already have a perfume very similar called Moonstone & Opal by Wylde Ivy, though this pulls less sweet.

1st impression: vetiver, cherry cough syrup?, rose, musk, leather, red berries (or some sort of high vitamin C fruit). - I let it dry down fully before smelling it, all the grapefruit evaporated.
