Fawn

Ok. I had a really good feeling about this perfume and i absolutely LOVE the packaging and the whole concept. The notes sounded perfect for me and I was so excited. Unfortunately this perfume was shipping from New Jersey so there was a shipping delay because apparently a processing facility CAVED IN there. Anyway it took almost a month to arrive but it's ok :))) Upon the first spray it smelled a little like banana candy and cleaning product/laundry which I don't hate but it definitely was not what I was expecting. I really wish I could pick out those lemongrass and marshmallow notes!! Idk how they did this but it does smell very "soft" somehow, very light and innocent smelling, which is why I think this scent is a little more on the feminine side. However I could definitely see someone more masculine wearing this because the scent is kind of a subtle laundry smell?? Definitely don't hate this fragrance and I think I'll be wearing it often! It's great for it's price!!

The fawn in question here is Bambi, prancing through a cartoonish meadow of marshmallow scented flowers. The initial spray is reminiscent to the sweet confectionary powder on bubble tape, which lingers but doesn't overpower. There is a hint of lemongrass between the dandelion and marshmallow that adds zest to a mellow base. The scent stays close to the skin and doesn't last more than a couple hours, but I'll try it on my clothes or brushing it into my hair to see if it will last a bit longer.

First impression: the lemongrass gives this a strange acidity that really does kind of lean animalitic when paired with powdery marshmallow sweetness. I don’t know if I like it or not. I can strongly detect sharp dandelion for a moment too, but it is very fleeting. I don’t know how they got this affect, but on me it kind of smells the way I think deer fur would smell like. Now is that pleasant or unpleasant? I don’t know. UPDATE: it’s less hot today and I’m enjoying this considerably more. The lemongrass is less screechy and the marshmallow is more pronounced. I still get kind of a fuzzy feeling. This is definitely something you’d wear on a cold day. Longevity is pretty OK too. I sprayed this at 9am over moisturized skin and it’s still going strong at 3pm. For the price this is really unique and fun to wear.
