Rose Rebelle Respawn

WOW! I really love this. Its definitely a bit different. A work of art. To create something so lovely from such diverse notes is indeed amazing. It is both gently musky and powdery on me. Very feminine and soft. I love the way the mint works with the rose and chocolate. I just about detect the carnation but I cant pick up any incense. Im gutted it has such poor longevity and sillage on me. Im sure it will be better on others. If it was three times stronger then I would definitely buy a bottle. C'est la vie.

An almost "Gothic" perfume, really interesting. At the opening i feel as if a glass of wine would end up on me, in an ancient castle while i walk around the rooms full of books and dust.... a unique perfume. I like it! Sillage: 6./10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Love this scent for fall. Reminds me of reading an antique book by a fireplace or in an old library with wood paneling. I can't describe any particular dominant note. It just gives a warm, cozy feeling on a cold day.

This is a nearly perfect scent but also frustrates me because it performs poorly. It’s a dewy, red rose, with the green stem attached, sprinkled with dry cacao. Like baking chocolate, but not as bitter. I don’t detect any mint, but the spicy carnation comes through in the dry down. In my opinion it’s heart achingly beautiful and yes, somehow gothic, as another reviewer mentioned. Unfortunately it projects not at all. That’s not an issue to me so much, as long as I can smell it on myself I’m fine with a skin scent. But after about a half hour I can’t notice this unless I’m literally huffing at my arm, and within 2 hours or less it’s gone entirely. At A Lab on Fire prices, I don’t want to have to reapply all day, but i must just to enjoy Rose Rebelle Respawn. As a result, I don’t reach for it often, but I would wear this regularly if it were stronger!

Rose leads the pack, but never quite has a solo. I find it intriguing, and different in the same way Initio Atomic Rose is different. I remember liking it more than I do right now. I should smell it again when I am not pregnant. Haha.

Weird scent. Openning smells like off wine (I think it's the cocoa and rose combo). I think I like it?? Dry down, so cacoa is definitely there, rosey, babyish smell somewhere too

I found this on sale along with L’Anonyme and took a chance on a blind buy. Having read the reviews, and also the reviews of the apparently similar (and infamous) S-perfume 100% Love, I was expecting something interesting and a little challenging - fermented, dusty, gothic, weird. What I smell on my wrist is probably the safest and most boring perfume currently in my collection. It translates sweet and a little fruity, in a quite photorealistic and edible way. It reminds me of something I had on holiday once - maybe a sort of soda, juice or cocktail? - but inspires no other pictures or imagination for me. It is my only fruity-sweet bottle and for that I might keep it, but I was hoping for a bit of a challenge and was sorely disappointed. If you like juicy, fruity and rosy you might vibe with it, but for the (full) price there are probably better things out there. Edit: On second wearing it was veering into sweet fruity hand soap-territory - but in the dry down, the spice and cacao finally revealed itself! Suddenly it became interesting (where was it hiding?) and definitely more fermented and fleshy in a seductive way. Finally I get the amplified baby scalp with a bit of spice (instead of just floral hand soap or fruity drinks). My partner smelled my wrist, pulled a face, said “interesting” and finished with a “I like it!” which is exactly the reaction chain I am looking for, so I think this one is a keeper after all.

Boozy slightly sweet scent with a bit of warm spiced rose but with some nail polish remover vibes, with is a hard pass for me. Probably it’s a carnation and mint that gives that unpleasant effect, but the opening is rather strange. After a few minutes it becomes much better, but still not my cup of tea. For me cacao is the main (and almost the only one) note in it, rose are dominant too but comes after the first whiff of dark, dry, raw cacao powder. Also, this scent has it’s own character i thinks it’s because of carnation, ivy and slightly noticeable mint, the last one gives light cooling effect. That’s why the scent is in the middle of fresh-herbal and spicy-floral. Overall, Rose Rebelle Respawn’s scent is soft, dry and powdery rose with some herbal hint. Some lipsticks or face powders have that kind of smell. And compared to Florabotanica, both are similar just because of that delicate herbal note (mint and carnation), Flora’s scent is more green and wet than this one :) Unusual but strangely pleasing scent, sets very close to the skin and lasts not long (at least on me) Scent: 7/10 Performance: Longevity: 5-6/10 Sillage: 4–5/10

Tons of rose and mint are juxtaposed here to create this manly rosy vibe. In passing, you could easily mistake this for a rosy less pungent version of PS by Paul Sebastian. If Paul Sebastian made PS for women, this is exactly what it would smell like. There's also a Bacardi Rum like accord which adds a nice touch to the overall fragrance(don't be perplexed, no rum here). This was almost bottle worthy. I can't get pass the longevity issues.

Just put it on and I’m getting amplified baby scalp. The fleshy opening is intoxicating. It’s like smelling very soft skin in a copper mine. Also getting some - perhaps purple - all-weather paint After opening I find it a pretty bleak rose compared to frags like PoaL! Would wear Out if the palette Stayed on longer, but will spritz on before sex.

This perfume is so weird. I can't stand it! I tried, I really did, because the individual notes I like, but as a whole it just doesn't work for me. It's basically cocoa powder, a baby, and canned peaches....
