Skanky bubblegum cumin with a gorgeous sexual undertone. This isn't the kitchen cabinet cumin you add to your beef stew, there's other spices that keep it from leaning culinary or old man grandpa from the 80s. The brighter freshness of cardamom and sweetness of cinnamon turn that leading cumin note into something beautiful. This combination of spices give an almost spearmint-like effect that makes it lively while the animalics turn it slutty. Legit cannot compare this to anything else. If you listen to certain reviews you'll be lead to think this smells stinky and that kinda pisses me off. This is an absolutely unique and lovely scent profile so yeah, maybe stick your designer fragrances. Your sensitive ass nose is muddling the waters and making it harder for this hidden gem to find it's audience. Anyways expect 12+ hours of longevity and beastly projection. This baby sings.

This smells like waxbees in a church. Yes it smells human, yes it smells like a body but it really is amazing. It's strong, it's strange, yeah you'll never wear it to the gym..

Goodness, and I thought Francesca Bianchi Under My Skin was sexy. This opens full of cumin and cinnamon to my nose, a veritable spice cabinet but it also immediately smells carnal, sweet and animalic, full on. I love skank in perfumes and this is one of the more literal versions. I like to smell this, but I wouldn't want to smell *like* this. It's a little on the masculine side of unisex where I find Under My Skin to be on the feminine side of things. Overall this is some serious body odor with cat butt thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!

All I smell is cumin and honey. It has an amazing sillage. It's definitely not an easy fragrance.

One word: Cumin. I think about opening a super old dusty spice cabinet while covered in sweat... But in a good way(kinda). I agree with someone here, it smells nice but I wouldn't want to smell like that. It's STRONG and won't let you go.

For all those many notes listed, cumin and cedar sawdust is what it all dries down to, with nary a hint of other olfactory nuances.... It's just pure cumin and cedar to my nose!

Spice, animal, and potato peels. Bizarre.

This is a challenging scent super animalic as per the title name Behind Closed Doors, you could just imagine the level of raunchiness in that room. The decant I got from Lucky scent was applied on my hand for testing and I was perplexed to say the least the stench stayed on my hand and fingertips for hours on end I simply could not wash it off. Cumin used in culinary specifically stews is amazing but in perfumery combined with honey, cinnamon and civet makes this concoction absolutely vicious. The drydown reminds me of a wet cloth that just finished wiping you after you performed a Bacanal. It surely does not agree with my body chemistry and it is not pleasant to my nose. I'll give you this, longevity is off the hook and if you are into these types of scents you need to get your nose on this. But I'm warning you this is not for the faint of heart.

This is by far the most potent fragrance that I own. It is also the first smell that, despite the several attempts to wear it, under different circumstances, in various climates and weather/temperature, I cannot tolerate. Some friend of mine said that this smells like Arabian sweat, that might be accurate, however, to me, the smell itself is not the one of a fragrance, but the one of a distinct element, such as body odour/rot etc. Definitely try it out before buying and do not force yourself into this because time does not help, if you happen to hate it from the very onset, then you will hate it forever)).

Opened this sample and couldn't even stand the scent on my fingertips. It is TOOOO MUCH! It is in the giveaway pile.

Smells like a neglected, moldy, cabin. Probably the worst perfume I have smelled to date.

Sensual bed scene...! This is an intense sexual blend with that sweaty intimacy overdosed body odor. It has cumin bomb, with honied down blood oranges, civet, & amberic cinnamon. The pepper, incense, balsam, & powdered cedar appears later on but mostly the blend is linear and not changed overtime. This blend is not easy to wear for anyone, it's for those who adores animalics & love to smell like real odor rather than wearing fragrances. The only drawback is that it is a BEAST and lasts for more than 24+ hours. To me, such blends that express sensuality should not be that strong and should weakens earlier through time and transform into a skin scent in order for you to feel more special by letting only the ones who gets close up to you smells it, to be YOUR scent and not the surrounding's. Remains Beautiful & Quite sexy.

i just tried the demanding "behind closed doors" and it is indeed an intriguing experience. if you can wait for the dry-down -- as i said, it is a demanding perfume and the journey is a bit rocky (think honey, cumin, birch-tar) -- it becomes *the* most animalic, unabashedly raunchy, "sex in a bottle" scent i've ever smelled (aside from actually sex -- outside the bottle.) very strong and realistic stuff. if this kind of scent is your thing, you must try "behind closed doors." musc ravageur is a little toddler with a lollipop compared to this sex-god perfume. use as sparingly as possible (less is more here.) i am going to decant some of my newly acquired bottle and dab *extremely* sparingly -- and swap the rest.

Starts out with a pretty strong pissy note but that fades pretty quickly. And if you can get past that, and you like animalic scents, this one delivers a bold and beautiful dry down. Yes, there’s cumin in all its glory along with some civet, but it is well tamed and I can pick up the honey, incense, and vanilla. Not quite brave enough to wear this one out by itself, but I make sure I spray my arm once in the morning before I put on whatever scent I’m going to wear that day, just to be able to return to it throughout the day. Longevity is pretty good at 6-8 hours and, by itself, the sillage is probably a little overpowering. This one, as far as animalics go, is an absolute banger!

Calaj A13 Behind Closed Doors looks like an interesting perfume. It has many Top, Middle and Base notes which I like. Can't say what it smells like because I do not have a sample to test yet. It is available in the US at Luckyscent For those who are interested. Thank you.

mmm I would call this more of an oriental than a Chypre but, ok if you say so.
