It's probably one of the best of his work. Great masculine scent with lots of olibanum which gives it an interesting smokiness. Strong sandalwood and chocolatey patchouli. Skin accord is an interesting addition to the scent profile which gives it a sexy vibe that is different and hard to describe. Neroli and lime are short lived and high quality tobacco leaves accord is there almost to the end. Longevity and projection are very strong. I saw some references and comparisons to Amouage Interlude. This has no similarities whatsoever to that fragrance. Olibanum has a fire free frankincense quality to it which makes it much easier to wear. I highly believe that if Interlude and specially the Black Iris flanker had the same frankincense accord in them instead of what they have now, they would have been much much better and easier fragrgrances to wear.

The citruses don't play a big role. Neroli is there a bit but it's supporting. Its about the super clean, smooth smokiness. This has a beautiful light airy quality, whereas something like interlude smacks you in the face. Projection and performance are great. As a fan of frankincense, tobacco and sandalwood I'm really happy to own this.

Smoulder? More like smother. This stuff is a smokey rose and amberous sandalwood mixed with Damp tobacco, patchouli, and frankincense. Strong AF. It's good 💯 but could be smoother.

This has absolutely nothing to do with interlude holy shiteeee man. This is a stellar tobacco scent but it's too potent for me
