Blue Fever

Blue Fever is light, airy, and slightly sweet with almost the slightest cotton candy/bubblegum note that's never too prominent or cloying. IMO it's perfect as a daily driver and I can't imagine it being offensive to anyone. I agree with Laso below saying it shares some similarity to Y EDP. However, for some reason Y EDP does not agree with my skin chemistry, curdling oddly in the dry down, making it a no-go for me. Thankfully, Blue Fever does not. I gotta say, though, I always roll my eyes when someone dismisses a fragrance by lazily parroting the classic “it’s nothing groundbreaking” line. Okay... and? Most of the fragrances people actually love, wear, and repurchase were never attempting to reinvent perfumery for the sake of earning validation from the self-appointed fragrance elite. What really matters is refinement and execution. Experimental fragrances absolutely have their place, but for most people, a familiar profile that’s well-blended and genuinely wearable is typically what ends up getting the most love. Familiar doesn’t mean uninspired, and “not groundbreaking” isn’t a knock when something is simply done really well. At the end of the day, Blue Fever is a great version of something we already know works, and IMO a lot of the time that’s the whole point. Off my soapbox now. I would rate the performance as somewhere between decent to good - not expecting beast mode performance from a freshie like this. For me, it's the perfect "blue" scent and my current favorite in that category. I can see why people might say that it's overpriced for what it is, but for me, it just works, so will stay in heavy rotation for the foreseeable future.

@Laso while looking back I do agree my original comment was way over the top, I guess if your school system failed you on reading comprehension in the way that it clearly did, anything over two sentences probably does feel like a “thesis." 😂 Since you missed it, my point is that your original comment is absolutely useless to anyone trying to learn more about the fragrance - it's just low-effort meaningless regurgitation from fragrance influencers in your tiktok/ig feed. And also that not every fragrance is trying to be / needs to be groundbreaking. That's all. For the record, I think I'm actually very secure in my basic taste or else I wouldn't have posted the comment I did about a fragrance many people were labeling as "basic" or "nothing special." I'm just glad I'm in a place where I can appreciate fragrances for what they are, and don't require them to be re-inventing the genre to enjoy them. Typically don't care enough to even leave a review let alone "defend" a fragrance, but this is the one that set my journey into niche fragrances into motion, so it holds a special place.

I made an account just to comment that this is a 10/10 fragrance with great performance. I can see how people are saying it’s like YSL Y edp but it really isn’t. It’s much much much better. A lot saltier and a lot more potent with the freshness. One of my favourites. I bought Ysly to replace it since only have the 10ml bottle it’s unfortunately it does not compare one bit. Blue fever is on a higher level than Y edp.

I really enjoy this fragrance from ATH. He does produce a number of scents that are quite similar but this is something slightly different. Nice fresh opening that softens to a warm and slightly woody base. Whether it is groundbreaking, as others have been arguing over, I'm not so sure but it is a very nice blue style of fragrance and performs better than other similar styles of fragrance.

Blue Fever by ATH is a high-performing fragrance that smells like Dior Sauvage. From the sharp bergamot opening to the ambroxan-heavy dry down, it offers little originality and feels like yet another entry in the overcrowded Sauvage clone category. That said, performance is excellent. Strong projection and long-lasting power make it a reliable attention grabber. However, for a brand known for bold, creative compositions, Blue Fever comes across as safe, uninspired, and ultimately forgettable. Great performance, but lacking in soul. I rate it 6/10.

@saint_andrew Imagine being so insecure about your basic taste that you have to write a thesis and define the word 'groundbreaking' to a stranger. 💀 It’s a blue fragrance, not a philosophy degree, chief. I’m happy you found a 'refined' cotton candy scent that your skin doesn't reject, but you can get off the soapbox now—nobody asked for a vocabulary lesson from the guy who smells like a dryer vent.

Very similiar to Ysl Y edp but I prefer ysl. This is your basic showergel scent, nothing groundbraking

I’m a massive fan of ATH. Hard Candy & Ozone are among my most favourite fragrances. This however, is terrible. It’s a complete mess. Unfinished. All you can smell with this are aroma chemicals. It smells like it was made in a lab. This has to be one of the strangest wearing experiences I have had a with a fragrance. Instead of getting wafts of a mixture of notes like you do when wearing other fragrances, with this you just get hints of different chemicals throughout the wearing and it’s awful. If there’s one thing I can give it credit for, it’s the longevity, which to be fair is very consistent with the rest of Aarons creations. I’m not against “synthetic smelling” fragrances, after all one of my favourites is YSL Y EDP. This unfortunately steps over the line of synthetic and enters chemical sludge territory. I have given it well over a year to macerate and it really hasn’t changed a bit. Don’t buy this, especially when he has so many good fragrances to offer.

overly synthetic designer DNA garbage stop glazing everything this man puts out. He has like one or two bangers at most and no one wants to talk about how the dry downs for like 10 of them are arguably the same lol
