I first got this one when it was pretty hot out, so I wasn’t really able to wear it for a while. Initial testing I was pretty let down tbh, and my expectations were high given that I enjoy iris, and I was excited to see ATH’s version because I also enjoy his style in his scents. Well, from initial testing, to letting it sit for a couple months until the weather changed I can gladly say I was wrong! This stuff is great! Scent, performance, longevity, they’re all there. Since I’m not the greatest at describing scents I’ll give my short take on it: Imagine a (substantially) sweetened DH Intense, and this is what you’ll end up with. Obviously there’s much more nuance to it, but at the end of the day that’s exactly what this is. More *seductive* than clubbing as it’s very smooth. So, when Ultra Male is too sweet and DHI is a little too formal, I’ll be teaching for this one.

Despite its name, I find this scent to be unisex. If you enjoy the smell of iris root, this is the one for you—soft, creamy, and slightly woody. It also has a clean musk that's especially noticeable during the drydown. If you're a woman and want to make it feel a bit more feminine, try layering it with a vanilla-forward or fruity fragrance to create a more refined, creamier, and longer-lasting scent. I personally love pairing it with the zingy blueberry notes. The longevity is incredible. It lasts forever on clothes, and I can still smell the musk even after washing. I'd say this is perfect for fall and spring, especially in rainy, cool weather. I'm not sure about winter since the musk here has a fresh quality, and I usually prefer something warmer for colder months. P.S. I have a matte bottle of 2020.

I definitely get some feels of DHI and Prada lhomme But this is its own thing This is rich and elegant beautiful waxy iris If you love iris give this a try, this is strong so go easy if your in the office but deffo good for the office, this I feel suits a suit lol , it smells professional and money and smells like a person who has got their shit together, I’d say 30+ Cooler days or nights, I think iris or orris just gives me that business feel suited and booted and hiring and firing lol. It’s definitely not playful but definitely not heavy Fragrance is subjective You just have to read the reviews on this site This is not for me but it’s a beautiful frag Dries to a blend of vanilla orris musk what warm and cozy and lasts till you wash it off.

I like this so much that I actually made a fragrantica account in order to leave a review. This is a masterpiece that I often spray on the back of my hand while I’m at home just to smell it. Longevity and performance are spot on as to be expected from the house of ATH. For me just two sprays (one behind each ear) is sufficient at having a nice fragrance bubble for a handful of hours. Of the popular designer iris fragrances from dior, gentlemen givenchy, Prada, Valentino, etc, Aaron’s Homme is legitimately better. I’m amazed at how much better. He truly did well here and this is one of those fragrances that makes me feel good, inspired and at awe of the olfactory experience that is part of what makes life so amazing.

Creamy, lactonic, tonka, and orris candy. Orris note lasts for ever. I like it, but the tonka and what I’m guessing is laitone make for an odd milky smell, not gross, just milky? Not summer safe, spring and colder transitional times is best for this sweet one. If that sounds good to you then performance and projection is all there. Worth the money imho, Aaron uses great materials.

So I know everyone asks if this smells like DHI and yes and no it's so much better than an other iris fragrence I've ever smelt other people are saying butter creamy iris I get somewhat a delicious expensive vanilla iceream smell but in a manly way that is just to die for this is a 10/10 blind buy worthy is you like prada lhomme dior homme intense u will love this fersure

Hands down the best Iris fragrance I've ever smelled (I specifically sample and try any Iris forward fragrances so I've tried quite a few). Imagine DHI but more masculine, mixed with a gourmand version of DHP. That's the closest I could get to describing what this is like. Certainly not a direct comparison to either of those - it's its own beast

This is a great fragrance. I wish Iris would last longer than 30 mins in it. It's a resinous woody ambery vanillic concoction with great silage and longevity. Another great work of ATH. I don't detect any reminiscence to DHI, DHP, DH, or any other fragrance in that category. Also I don't see this as a vanilla forward powdery forward fragrance.

The best ath frag along with tabac. Although the new black label version is a shadow of its former self. Been sweetened to the max and less iris. I'm not one for crying reformulation but it was very noticeable so I emailed ath and they confirmed it had been changed " to boost longevity and projection" LOL

Homme is really special. Aaron nailed it with this one. It's actually better than dior homme intense which is crazy to me!! Strong projection and lasts on clothes for weeks. One of my all time favourite fragrances

Wow wow wow wow.... Stunning iris! At least this is my first impression.

Powdery, vanillac, earthy and rooty. Almost smells like stale patchouli. Heavy iris. Way too earthy for me. Not done in a classy way like House of Sillage’s Dignified, but more harsh and in ATH’s signature, chloroform style. Thankfully, the scent settles down within about 15 minutes after the opening. What this evolves into is a more refined, subtle and blended version of the above. I can detect a mild infusion of sweetness, which I assume is the listed tonka or amber accord. Off-beat, original scent. Somewhat challenging. An acquired taste. Takes a bit of getting used to!

I might grab a 30ml of this when its available for cheap in the US. Its nothing special. Its kind of synthetic. 12 sprays got me 2 hours of arms length projection. I was in a scent bubble for a couple more hours. After that, a skin scent. If you like this, grab a bottle of l'eau from Spain. I was really excited about this and was let down. I can say the same about Slut Elixer. ATH is all hype and no delivery. I have a dozen ATH on my want to sample list. That will now wait until they are as cheap as they are in the UK. 7.5/10.

Homme by ATH opens with a blend of iris and orris, giving off a strong powdery and waxy vibe that feels strong. Overall, it’s a refined, vintage-style fragrance for powder lovers, though it could use a bit more depth. I rate it a 6/10.

I disagree with Charlie 1994- This does not smell like any Dior- Parfum, Intense or original. It is okay, scent trail is good, lasts 6-8 hrs, but this is not your sweet Iris.( Valentino, Dior, Prada or Narciso Rodriguez) I do not pick up the Tonka or Vanilla, either- mostly Musk, Cedar and sandalwood. I do not regret buying this, it smells good- but it does not remotely resemble those listed above.....

Smells similar to dior homme intense but it is less sweeter and more aromatic. Id love wearing this casually with my clean, cream coloured clothes during colder days. However I am unsure if I would pick this over dior homme intense. depends if you prefer a very sweet fragrance (dior homme) or sacrifice some of its ultra sweet scent and add some aromatics instead (aaron terence hughes homme).

Iris bomb. Similar to DHI just more intense. Closest frag to this Arabian Oud’s Jabal Cotton which I prefer to this due to the longer lasting iris note and possibly slightly better performance. If you can’t get Jabal Cotton then this is ur best bet if u like DHI but want someone to actually to smell it.
