Luna

I categorize this in the deep, fancy florals category. I've had my 10 ml for a long time. When I first bought, the oud was very intense, which I still liked, but for some reason, I tested it again today, 1-2 years later, and now it smells much more smoothly blended. (I guess it has been reformulated, which makes me a bit sad, I have the peachy one.) Rich, creamyish yet ethereal (not old) woman going to the ball, vibes. It's reminding me of Dolce Sospiro and BTV Violet Sapphire a bit, but less strongly fruity than either. I am going to take it on a trip with me soon for my special date night scent and will update if anything changes.

The original version (pre-reformulation and the updated packaging) was incredible! It was a fruity, borderline tropical, gourmand take on a traditional Oud & Rose profile, and it was so vibrant and beautiful! I have yet to try this updated version but judging by the note breakdown it looks lovely. I love Aaron’s use of genuine Oud, and the original Luna was my first foray into true genuine Oud in perfumery, and I have been hooked ever since! Looking forward to trying the updated version, but a little disappointed he reformulated it instead of just releasing this under a different name, but life goes on! All the best! 😊

Incredible fragrance, very resinous oud and extremely dark and complex. In terms of projection, it's extremely extremely projecting and also is extremely long lasting, easily going through with 12 hours of solid performance. The projection can be a bit overwhelming and it will make your entire room smell like a sephora if you overspray, keep it light with 3-4 sprays. Especially with that fire extinguisher atomizer.

This is one of the series things I've ever smelled, for a woman. Don't ĝet me wrong, I wear it every few months, but... the rose, sexy stinky oud, fruity patchouli is TO DIE FOR on a dressed up woman. This is great for the ladies that kick some ass for sure. This stuff walks into the room with you, and makes it apparent that you do not fuck around.

Agree with below comment. Aaron's fragrances are really legit. He is a really talented perfumer. Luna, homme, hard candies, tabac, oud, onyx extreme and haze extreme are really special some in my top 5 of all time I have smelled, try out his 10ml or discovery packs,

Ignore whateverwhocares they comment on all of Aaron's fragrances seems personal, people can't take their personal feelings out of perfumers fragrances

Luna instantly reminded me of Oud Touch by Franck Olivier. Also has a similarity to some aspects of Montale Arabians Tonka, which is a complex scent. It's very strong and one spray projects for a long time. Not a unique fragrance, and for the high price, I opine there are better purchases at half and even quarter his prices. I wanted to say I LOVE Aaron Terence Hughes and enjoy his reviews. However, every fragrance of him I've worn, although having nice development, smells VERY derivative, which is a norm in this fragrance space, but overall not unique enough for their high price. I must mention they certainly have a distinctive IT factor upon close sniff that sets them apart. I have to admit that, but in the air, where everyone else will smell you, they don't stand out for me to buy full bottles. Now, if like me, you enjoy spraying your arms and sniffing them through the fragrances' development, then maybe you'll find worth in Aaron's pricey fragrances.They've all have been smooth to the nose and very sniffable nose to skin. To finalize, in my experience, yes, Aaron has proved me he is a legit perfumer and knows his stuff. If his fragrances were truly unique-smelling, yes, I'd buy the full bottles at those high prices.

Seemingly mediocre rose/oud profile. Resinous. Patchouli and vanilla base. Semi gnarly. Patchouli note gets stronger as the scent develops. Becomes more unique, but not quite likable. Can be overwhelming.

Have a sample of this thats been macerating for a year....I do like Aaron's work, however this now smells like extremely cheesy/sweaty feet partly covered with a strong rose...hard pass for me

This is literally just LV’s ombre nomade repackaged in a different bottle. 99.99999% the same

Not LV Ombré Nomade. The rose there is completely different. ON also comes off slightly watery and has a more dried fruit nuance to it, but I do agree that the oud is similar. IF ANYTHING, the latest (and sadly last iteration of this scent since it’s gonna be discontinued) is a dead ringer for JM Velvet Rose and Oud, but Luna has a more vanillic creaminess and a warmer, leather touch to it. Of course, the performance and price for it is definitely a lot better than JM when I bought it first at 105 quid. Its price has gotten up since they’re selling it out. For what it’s worth, I’m glad I have a beast mode version of a JM fragrance I don’t currently have, BUT if you do have Velvet Rose and Oud, don’t buy this cuz it’ll be very redundant! I hope he reformulates Luna though or, at least, revisit the concept of a Rose-Leather-Oud. I would love a Rose Leather that’s different, maybe something fresh akin to Les Sables Roses or French Leather. Or a fully gourmand take on a Rose Leather that isn’t his usual.

Currently wearing ATH Luna on one hand and LV Ombre Nomade on the other. On first spray Luna has alot more fruit in the opening and the rose is more in your face than with the LV. Both have a lot of smoke in them and now they are drying down they are so similar. Perhaps more leather on the LV. But I can't decide which one is better out of the 2. Very very similar. At £185 for Luna 50ml and £320 for 100ml Lv Ombre Nomade makes ATH the dearer option per ml but I think it is slightly better.........but only slightly. Lv also do discounted refills!!!!! If anyone tells you these aren't similar they are lying to you. 30 mins in and I can't tell them apart.

@JustMyVibe They are adding them now. I posted a bunch of them on the forums and just hours later they were added. I will continue posting the requests for more to be added soon. Be assured we are getting them added though. Roughly 5-6 were added from my request. His fragrances are amazing quality and definitely worth way more than he charges for them. We are lucky to have him.

I adore Luna and it has the perfect name to match. However, the version of Luna I have is the one with coconut and peach. If you could creat a creamy, tropical, but deeply dark fragrance... this would be it. Not sure if these notes are a reformulation or what.

Potent, interesting rose-based fragrance. Strong projection and very long-lasting. Has a mysterious quality to it from perhaps the patchouli l. Something is also adding a medicinal note, which i find interesting. I think ATH's forte is with rose and oud frags.

Would say this one is 99% similar to Ombre Nomad, love it. Dark rose/oud with a leathery base. 10/10 (2023 batch)
