Onyx Concentrate

Clean Pungent Farmed White Oud + Plum + White Vanillin Absolute + Patchouli + Modern Rose Spraying this for the first time was one of those experiences that i was just taken back, and said, 'woah!'. You get a blast of this gorgeous clean white liquid Oud that i've never in my life smelt this kind before! Turns out it's 'farmed Oud', grown by rich investors with tree plantations that get manually infected by a virus to produce that auto-immune reaction in trees to produce Oud. But because it's harvested in only a few years instead of hundred thousands of years traditionally found in real ancient Oud, it smells completely different - and in a very good way!! I might be wrong about this, maybe it's synthetically produced in a factory, but from what I've learnt this is the story. It's so gorgeous & addicting! It's pungent in the air too! People WILL smell you, people WILL be taken back and stopped in their tracks trying to figure out what exactly they are smelling and they will never be able to figure out because it's something 99% of people in the world have yet to smell. They WILL find you incredibly sexy, next-gen modern leaning, fashion forward in perfumery! This to me smells like young money, and a sexy af badboy who's gorgeous, gets all the women and knows it when he walks into the room! This is a dense mix of ingredients, in the best way possible, you are definitely getting your ingredients here and not aqua/alcohol. This reminds me of the scent genre of Tom Ford's 'Nior de Noir' but superior in quality & scent in every way! Patchouli is one of Aaron's favorite notes to wear & use in perfumery. It starts off as a sweet herbal leaf, and drys down to a note of potted soil (aka 'Dirty Patchouli'), giving the nose a very earthy base to a fragrance. The Patchouli is done so beautifully here in this dna. Longevity is 4+ hours, and is one of those fragrances that will change slightly during the dryoff as the Patchouli note goes from sweet to dirty earthy soil, giving off this gorgeous bouquet. The Turkish Rose Oil is modern style and gorgeous, and mixed with the sweetness of the Plum and Vanillin Absolute, it comes out deliciously jammy without being cloying. What is equally addicting is the vanilla he is using, i believe it's 'White Vanillin Absolute', it's not your traditional cooking vanilla, nor is it the type that is found in candles, it's modern leaning, water-clean delicious smelling. All his modern ingredients that he is using makes for a very modern next-gen dna, which is was one of my personal goals to find when starting my journey. This is also one of those fragrances that you only spray on skin to not only get the quality ingredients to unfold into the air, but also because of the high pricepoint. Packaging, one of my favorites in my collection! The picture currently shown on Fragrantica is NOT what you get. Today you get this kick-ass little long bottle that you can palm in your hand, or fits nicely in a jacket pocket or purse. The texture is of this thin rubber matte finish that feels amazing to the touch! The lid is also amazing, magnetic with this gorgeous engraving of Aaron's brand of Unicorn head - this little touch just screams of proud quality from his work, and makes you feel good about owning it. It's one of my favorite bottles styles in my collection. This may or may not have been inspired by TF's Nior de Noir, but that has now been dethroned by ATH's 'Onyx', regardless who was 1st to creating the scent genre, this is a phenomenal fragrance! 5/5 Woofs!

I finally got my nose on it as Aaron being so generous to give out a free 10ml of my choice plus a free 30ml of the Fake when I purchased a 50ml of it. You know what....I LOVE it so much. I don’t know why there is so much hate about it. I think some people just criticize his fragrances based on his personality, not the juices themselves. For me, I care the most about the juices he creates, though I also respect what he does and his genuine reviews of other fragrances even he sometimes criticized some of my favorite fragrances. I’m totally ok with it as I think scents are very personal and subjective and I respect them. Back to the Onyx. I now know what real natural and concentrated oud smells like (I still love my Oud for Greatness even though now I know it contains very little to none of the real oud because it just smells super good). I found that I do love the animalic of the natural oud and I really appreciate the quality of it. This perfume has the jammy rose that playing so well together with the chocolaty patchouli and plum. Also the natural oud lasts all the way from the middle till the end of the whole duration. It’s divine quality (I think Alexandria II in my collection really contains good amount of natural oud too after comparing with Aaron’s creations). He is just so good at playing with the oud in different ways. Once I try his fragrances, I learn so much from them and know what are actually good. His fragrances are just so different and high quality. You just need to find something that matches your tastes because they’re really DIFFERENT comparing to other more well known niche houses. Performance wise, it is superb. My skin tends to eat perfumes as I always get less longevity than other people but interestingly this one last super long on my skin,12+ hours or days on clothes. Projection on me is crazy too. On his website he suggested to use 8-12 sprays so I started with 8. OMG! My husband said he could even smell me from 3 feet away after 5 hours of application and his nose usually doesn’t detect fragrances very well. I think I will to use less sprays from now. P.S. I also got 10ml of the Ambré Extrême, Oud, Oxytocin and a 30ml of Fake. Honestly I love all of them but not as much as Onyx and Ambré Extrême, which is my another favorite from him. I am sure I will get a 50ml of the Ambré Extrême when I am almost done with the 10ml. I’m not gonna do full reviews on any of these as I don’t want to make this review to be too long but I know I will try more of his stuffs very soon.

When I first got Onyx, I sprayed it on my hand and couldn't smell anything. Worried, I then sprayed it on paper which I couldn't smell either. After fifteen minutes, I could barely smell a faint rose scent on the paper. I was so worried that I almost emailed the US retailer (max aroma) to ask if it was possible there was a bad batch and if I could return this bottle for a good one. A few days later I tried again and smelled a beautiful rose scent over what seems to be a very smooth luxurious oud/wood. The oud is not barnyard or skanky at all, and my nose is sensitive to fecal notes in fragrances. I don't know what was wrong with my olfactory receptors that first day, but this fragrance has really turned out to be a really nice surprise. It is quite beautiful, and I like it as much as rose ouds I have from Xerjoff, Etat Libre D'Orange, Tiziana Terenzi, and other houses I'm forgetting off the top of my head. I'm wearing this right now and put on four sprays: one on each forearm, and one on each side of my neck. It feels like I'm in a huge scent cloud that is filling the room, so I might've overdone it. This juice spreads out and lasts a long time; it's detectable on my skin over 12 hours later at which point I don't even keep track of the longevity... I only splurged for the 10 ml bottle since $220 for the 50 ml was a larger gamble I wasn't ready to take at the time. However at this point, I'm really tempted to splash out for the larger bottle. The only thing holding me back is that I'm waiting on samples of other fragrances that I want to test before putting my money down on the barrel head. It starts to add up when so many fragrances that I'm interested in are $100, $200, $300, or even more for 50 ml! Why didn't I just stick to cheapies LOL Update (16 October 2021): The US retailer was down to one bottle left of the 50 ml size, so I bought it. To me it's well worth the $220 price tag. I only wish it came in a 100 ml bottle for a little better price per ml as this is definitely a love for me. Update (24 June 2022): Wearing this today, and it's one of my all time favorites! I'm on the verge of getting another 50 ml backup bottle because I'm irrationally afraid that Aaron might discontinue or reformulate this. His Onyx Extreme flanker is well worth checking out too if you love Onyx.

This is a scent I was initially not fond of, initially, I thought it was the plumb not playing well with the rose. But it's something else that he uses in several other scents notably Slut/Dirty Slut. The more I wore it, the more I grew to love it. Projection, you'll get good performance out to about 2-3 feet. When you warm up, moving around etc it'll get more "intense" and will project out a little further. Duration, I put this on at 6am several times and it was with me until 10pm. Though the "impressive" performance drops off around 4pm. Regardless, I'd give it an A+ in that regard. It takes about 3 hours to get to the dry down where it becomes a beautiful mix of Rose, Chocolate, and Oud. The longer you wear it, the more the Vanilla comes out. Sillage, this thing just sticks in the air. ATH says he likes to "smash" the scents on him with 10 sprays. I used 2 sprays on the first try and settled on 4 being the "office appropriate" amount. 10 sprays will certainly leave an impression that the future generation will probably be able to smell. I would say, the only thing this scent truly has going against it is the cost. At $205/50ml, this exists in a price bracket that some very high end, well-respected brands exist in. If decants/travellers of this was easier to come by in the states, it may change some people's opinions on it. I'm not sure if it actually lives up to ATH's extravagant description of the performance. But this delivers on the performance I would expect of any scent in that price bracket that far too many scents fail to deliver on. Ultimately, I bought another bottle of this because I would have done it anyways when I ran out of it.

i really really like this but I do love Tom Ford Noir pour femme, and AERIN Ambrette Noir and this to me is very similar in the dark, raunchy rose wheelhouse... love love love.. I was lucky enough that I finally saw a few available on MAXAROMA and got one this time... usually i get a notice and they are already sold out minutes before I get there. sigh.... I may get a full bottle eventually, but my TF and AERIN bottles are quite full... however I will wear one on one arm and ATH on the other and see how the do.. who knows, maybe I'll sell the partials and replace with ATH depending on how they compare.. second thought... maybe not the AERIN bottle - it's soooo pretty.. :) I have AERIN AND ATH on my arm side by side now and they are performing equally so far.. the dry down they get more and more similar. ATH projecting slightly more - a touch of almost black leather that's pushing out (heliotrope push?), whereas the AERIN is settled in as a dark base that's richer, but not projecting as boldly.. I kind of like the richer darker at the moment... depends on where and how you want to wear it --- oh and I do love the % of oils in ATH, you can really tell side by side how rich and oily the ATH is.. man, this is a tough one.. I dunno, I think I might have to have both :)

I'm reviewing "new" Onyx as commercially available in late 2023. This is terrific. I know rose oud is a crowded category, but this smells really lovely among the (mostly feminine) rose ouds I've smelled in gifting mode. This is a powerful rose with a sort of peppery backing to it, but mostly jammy like a certain rose syrup I remember from visiting India. It dries down as a robust, beautiful rose on a beautifully blended background of dirty-woody oud, sweet vanilla, and green-spicy patchouli. I rate it unisex but could see it landing slightly masculine. Its performance is ridiculously high. One evening, after a shower, I applied three of the modest sprays that come out of my 10 mL bottle's atomizer. It choked my lady out (who, back before I wore perfume at all, routinely applied a good seven sprays of her frags while getting dressed). She mentioned the next morning that once it was finally not filling the whole room, she really liked it. At 15 hours, a nice scent bubble remained. Today, I put on just one such spray around midday, and I'll definitely be asleep in bed before it quits. Onyx is a cool-weather classic that I expect I'll keep coming back to.

I'm writing this review assuming this is the same fragrance as Onyx Extreme from the ATH line. This fragrance is incredibly rich, bold, and potent. Opens with a rush of jammy rose, powdery amber, and a musky oud cloud that becomes more pronounced as the hours pass by. The brand website claims there is a lab-verified concentration of real oud in this fragrance and I don't doubt it; one spray on a tester paper and I could smell it from an arm's length away for a week. Even the particles that didn't land on the tester paper gave moderate sillage on the carpet where they fell. Needless to say, 2-3 sprays will easily last you the whole day and stay on your clothes even after a wash. I don't find this fragrance to be too similar to Noir de Noir. NdN has a fresher saffron opening and a rich truffle note that gives an almost chocolatey feel while this fragrance has a powdery amber note and a more musky oud that feels denser. I personally consider NdN to be a bit more versatile and Onyx Extreme to be more suited for evening occasions.

I bought this after seeing multiple 1st time reactions from youtube reviewers. They were all the same, "Wow!" Then their eyes light up and say how much they like it and that it is unique. When you see that kind of authentic reaction from a fragrance lover you know it is something special. I have to say my reaction was very much the same. That rose is so pungent and realistic and the oud is really clean and truly amazing. The patchouli gives it a masculine edge, which in my opinion makes it a perfectly unisex scent anyone could pull off. My initial reaction was so strongly positive that I didn't trust myself to immediately post a review, so I have worn it quite a few times over the last month and I still love this stuff. It has great sillage and smells so amazing that I'm asked what it is at least once every time I wear it. This is expensive but for me that is ok cause it checks all the boxes; smells great, last a long time, great projection without being overbearing, unique, and luxurious smelling.

Onyx is definitely inspired by Noir de Noir. The ingredients are definitely better. I wouldn’t even consider buying the TF but Onyx is insane. I love this. Obviously the rose is most perceptible followed by patchouli and oud. Vanilla is noticeable maybe a hint of plum. The blend does feel much smoother than TF. Performance is a beast. I also have onyx extreme that’s a little darker and more heavy on oud and woods. I prefer onyx for being more ethereal. However extreme is a little more masculine. I owned the Armaf. This is far better not even close. Xerjoff’s richwood is very different thats more like Coromandel. It’s also quite different from Ombre Nomade that stuff doesn’t feel as high quality in terms of ingredients and naturals as this. Of everything mentioned I highly recommend Onyx as the best value for money. I love this as much as my Frederic Malles. That’s high praise.

Onyx 2023 Discontinued version: Almost gourmand. Probably the best rose-oud combo. If you're familiar with rose-oud combos, you know they can smell very similar and this one is similar to a lot of other frags in this category, but in my opinion, it is one of the best, smoothest and almost edible-smelling versions of this type of perfumes. It is not completely gourmand as it is soapy and fresh at the same time, so it is toeing a fine line between fresh/sweet/woody and gourmand, but ATH is doing a masterful balancing work here to not overdo it, which results in a mass-appealing sweet oud scent. I think this could also be a great night-out fragrance and a compliment-getter if you're looking for that. 9/10

Loving this. It's a bit on the risky side for me with the rose and oud, but the drydown is stunning. Whenever you smell the bottle you get that scent and it keeps inviting me in to wear it more and more. The rose perfectly pairs with the plum, adding some tartness and interest as an extension of the rose. The amber and vanilla just make it magnificent. Performance was very strong on me. Got noticed from quite a distance and stick around for quite a while. Get a spray on your shirt and you'll smell it for days and days.

This fragrance is phenomenal to say the least! It is intoxicating and it fills a room. The patchouli and chocolate combination is so good along with a very ripe plum, the rose and oud however are the star notes in this fragrance, this scent was a love at first sniff, the fact that some people do not like this is just insane to me. It is extremely well done, smells expensive and for what he is charging for this fragrances it is well worth it in my opinion, the 10ml i have will last me ver long time. Well done Aaron.

The best from his house by a mile again as above was also quick to jump on the hype train a couple of his fragrances are really nice but most are average at best this I’m glad to say has a great rose and oud combo with a really nice backbone and is blended nicely above average staying power people might be crushed by what he says is an enormous fragrance he really needs to put out 1ml samples so people can try before they buy because I can see this fragrance being a hit or miss like most ATH fragrances

[Onyx Matte Bottle] If you can imagine an airier/powdery version of Nasomatto Pardon with Rose top then this is it. I love Pardon and although I don't like rose notes in general, but this is really good. There is no chocolate in this one but the chocolate cake patchouli + plum compensates for it. To my nose, this is very unisex specially in the opening with the strong rose punch. Onyx Extreme matte bottle was not match for this IMHO.

Wow this is sexy. Spray this twice behind each ear the perfume is nuclear. Super long lasting and people ask what perfume are you wearing? I get so many compliments. The perfumer has created masterpiece. The ingredients are very high quality. In my perfume collection this out lasts baccarat 540 extrait. The perfume has a tom ford vibe.

I have a 10ml that iv been using for a long time and it is still the best rose oud combo i have smelt. It projects like crazy and i can smell it clearly without even putting my nose to my skin 10 hours later. ATH has really proven himself and his abilities. This is the holy grail of oud rose perfumery.

Strong, earthy patchouli. Bears strong resemblance to noir de noir by Tom Ford. Almost identical but more natural. Without the harshness the aroma chemicals in noir de noir. Lasts and lasts. Projects beastly. Pricey unfortunately. It’s a master stroke of perfume genius.

This is truly a beatiful creation. The oud is lively and complements the excellent rose. A few minutes on you can smell a beautiful sandalwood underdone. The projection on this is strong and it lasts a long time. Very rich and well constructed fragrance overall.

This is a rose fragrance. Very elegant and similar in profile as LV’s Les Sable Roses. Sweet-Jammy-Mildly powdery rose. Performance is above average with modest projection. Excellent option for winters and unisex to slightly feminine leaning. Shukran Habibi!

@iatik he always talks VERY highly of Tom Ford, watch his review of Black Orchid. It was one of the fragrances that inspired him to learn perfumery. Second, it isn't a clone at all. It's much richer and lasts ages longer than NdN, and simply smells better.

Dark chocolaty warm sent and withen 2 hours after the opening,it start to develop and change to a beautiful oud sent which last about 10 + hours My only problem is the price i think it is too expensive

Onyx, Aaron Terence Hughes (Black bottle) First of all, please allow me to use this as an entry for this review but I believe now this page is for “Onyx Extreme” Original formulation using real ambergris and real musk and I believe it must be alter every time the material come in. Natural is harder to manipulate as facet are difference, so he release “Onyx” as variant using only real oud but replace with aroma chemical of mask / ambergris instead which actually I don’t mind at this point, as long as it is smooth blend. Now, the scent it is quite similar to Noir de Noir, but not the same. Noir de Noir have many aspect to it. “Earthy by truffle note” I think this what make difference. Onyx by Aron doesn’t have this savory / earthy undertone instead plum sweetness which tbh I am not a fan of, but in this blends in lower concentration enough to the point I can use it. Onyx more like jammy rose aspect of Noir de Noir amp up 10 times both scent and performance, to the points to more like dark purple jammy rose instead. At first I was kinda meh.. is this his best offering. But my Director went ballistic to it. “Did you smell something, damn that smell so good. Do you know where it coming” I freeze, I wear more than 200 fragrances at this point but never receive this loud compliment ss Onyx. Suddenly it becomes a keeper in my collection. For actual experience,I would need a few more wear, let me indulge in this first. Score 8.5-9/10

I don't want to say anything negative about this, because I wouldn't want Aaron to stop what he is doing, but I would say that I "like" this moreso than "love". It's a little annoying because it's a perfect Rose that is captured here, but I don't really like Rose this strong as a fragrance, so I'm slapped in the face with this great Rose... but, then, I can't really be crazy about it. On the drydown you get more of the vanilla, etc. I don't think I'd buy it again, and I wouldn't recommend it unless that person told me they were big on Rose. I'm liking it more now layered with PDM Oajan and Xerjoff Oud Stars Gao (Honey, Rose, Oud)--I think I'd just like to wear Oud Stars Gao (lol). I bought Onyx because ATH said it was one of his favorites. As an aside, I wish I could actually go somewhere to test fragrances instead of spending money taking stabs in the dark on luckyscent.com just to find out I don't like what I paid for (I got the Xerjoff as a sample there, but I wish I could've just gone to the store to sample it and the other 6 samples I bought there).

ONXY EXTREME.... Just received a 10ml in the mail the other day. I sprayed it on before bed and it lasted, as a skin scent, until the next day. I could smell this on my arm after I took a shower 14 hours later. First wearing, 6 hours in and its a skin scent. Im catching wafts here and there but nothing crazy. It projected for about a half hour then settled in. Smells amazing and you can definitely tell there is a good amount of naturals in this. Im getting rose, plum, musky sandalwood, and soft amber. If there is oud its very well blended and is not skank at all. I think this suffers from the high concentration of oils (30% per his site). Very very intimate on me. I will wait until it gets cold outside and over spray this and come back. Edit: Wore this to dinner and once my skin got some heat it started projecting. The rose in this smells natural and alluring, the oud smells resinous and incensey. This smells amazing. My friend thought I sprayed myself down when I came out of the bathroom but the scent just came alive. With some heat this shines.

Onyx 2023 This to me shows Aaron can make designer-esque smells really well. I immediately came to the conclusion that Aaron wants to break into the industry by putting out mass appealing smells such as in big european houses in duty-free/malls/etc. and is perhaps leaving behind is more creative and artistic smells from years ago. Don’t get this if you’re after something niche😭 thats my mistake. Anyway, this is oud. Rose and oud. Arabian smelling, airy whilst rich, whilst being super clean. IT’s been made with some finesse and is extremely wearable and balanced. Suitable for professional wear, dressed up occasions. It’s quite nice and smells quality but too safe and classic smelling, no twist or edge about this at all, which is what I kind of expected from Aaron. This would probably appeal more to western/european noses since they don’t typically smell Oud in this conservative middle eastern style. Nevertheless it's been well made and I'm looking forward to buying more from this house! Performance is great. 7.5/10

Black Onyx bottle with silver plate - I don't like the opening as the sandalwood and rose combination gives me a unpleasant smell. As Onyx is a very tricky fragrance, if I go close where I sprayed, that weird smell continues, however, from a bit far, it is more like dense rose absolu mixing with chocolate. Its dry-down where Onyx shines. Beautiful vanilic, chocolate, oud rose mix projects well, and keeps performing. It was my first fragrance from ATH, hopefully, I'll test the rest.

Onyx is in the same veins as Montale Black Aoud but with a much much higher quality and naturals. It smells smooth and well blended; lasts very long and spillage is crazy too. If you’re a man, it will suit you if you have self confidence and don’t care about what people think

This is really lovely to me. Very strong natural rose scent. last long and projects well. It took me a while to understand the scent but it’s really nice and sexy to me. I love his fragrance house! Side note: fragrantica need to update their info on his house.

Onyx. Fruit bomb. Toned down chloroform fill, as far as ATH frags go. Green/woodsy nuance. Very strong. Masculine but 🌈 in a happy way. Onyx Extreme. A mile above Onyx. Juicy oud. No chloroform. Mild fruity base.

Longer lasting and slightly sweeter dupe of TF Noir De Noir.

I really like Aaron Terence Hughes reviews and general channel on youtube so this may be slightly biased. I am also reviewing a decant. Overall I thought this was a nice fragrance it's got a very nice vanilla note that I don't find overpowering like most vanillas. I usually hate vanilla fragrances so the fact I like this one is really something. I think this is a generally pleasant smell that I think is office-safe. I'm not sure I'd pay the $350 AUD to get a full bottle but I think people who enjoy soft vanilla and wood fragrances would really like this one.

I heard so much about Aaron Terence Hughes perfumes for the last 3, 4 years and finally I got most of them here in New York at Maxaroma. They are ok but way over priced and over hyped. I got Onyx extreme and honestly it is just burned sugar and rose thats it. He tried to copy MFK oud Satin mood or Silk mood but Onyx Extreme is not come close to those perfumes.. Onyx extreme shouldn't cost more that $100 at all..but here at Maxaroma they sell it for $500...terribel..so samples first please...you will save a lot money..

This is weird. As if he has never smelled Green Irish tweed or Aventus before? Criticises companies for going after profit, then increases his prices the next day. He seems to have very little knowledge about the perfume industry in general as I found an article about him in which he was asked: thelondonmanblog.com/pos...-his-creations WHO ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PERFUMERS He answers: "I love Clive Christian as a perfumer. His range is one that if I didn’t make my own I would buy. I like that he is independent and British." As if Clive was the perfumer.. Not to mention this article was written after the company was sold.. He goes on to say: "Maison Francis Kurkdijan makes beautiful perfumes. I enjoy his work and love to go and sample what he has created. Again if I didn’t use my own I would buy his. His are clearly like a piece of art." My guess is he also thinks that Maison is the first name of Francis Kurkdijan. Now that's the next surprise since he trashed MFK BR540, Oud and Oud Satin Mood in the reviews of his channel. The dude is trying to craft an image of being this super discerning nose to trick the youtube crowds into buying his crap. That's why he shat all over those Creed scents: Oh they'll rip you off, you want to buy my scents that I use many expensive naturals and yet somehow sell it at low niche prices. It's a bunch of bull crap image crafting.

OK, it's a nice, heavy rose on a musky oudy base. It's been done before and it reminds me strongly of Ardent by Boadicea and countless other rose/oud combos. Yes, I too was swept up in the massive hype this Aaron whipped up on YouTube. I should have known better, seeing how he raves mostly about his own perfumes and belittles every other perfume in existence unless they're by Tom Ford... However, I only bought a 10ml and not a full bottle, so I feel relieved to admit my mistake. Truth is, if like me you have smelled hundreds of niche and artisanal fragrances by now, Onyx will show itself as simple and redundant. If you are just venturing into niche, you will undoubtedly be impressed. I am finding myself going back to tried and tested classics, that still inspire and deliver even after countless reformulations. Average projection, good longevity, but nothing like the mega strength it was promised.

If you smelled a lot of oud roses, then this is mediocre at best. First the higher concentrate foes not project much after 2 hours. Longevity is good but you have to be close to smell it. The whole concept of 5% oud or whatsoever is a lie. This is like many typical ouds. Nothing special. And it’s synthetic not natural oud. Price is ridiculous for what you get. But if you find it less than $2/ml then it’s ok. Do not pay more than that. It’s a waste of money

I used to have a guy with me in Film School who would elaborately describe great scenarios and stories. Listening to him you would think this guy is a great film maker. But when he executes his work it came out very bad. This reminds me of it. This is simple. Average performance.rose patchouli slight oud. Boring

Beautiful perfume, my favorite from all his perfumes. I bought a backup and am selling it. This is the original Onyx first release batch, before he reformulated it. Im selling just my one back up. Wow this is beautiful. From first spray you get a beautiful rose and this lasts throughout. I am not one to go into massive detail or have a story but its truly beautiful. You can tell the ingredients are expensive and long lasting, will definitely buy this once my sample runs out. Well done Aaron

The dry down of Onyx is better than the initial spray. I can smell more of the rose, but the whole time I still get this sour smell, kind of reminiscent of green olives. I wanted to like it, but ended up giving away my sample

This is my fault for sampling this... because I can't stand rose in fragrances. If you enjoy Rose/Oud combinations in fragrances, this may be your thing. This gives me a headache.

@ptsau This does not contain real oud lol. 1g of real oud costs like £300 minimum. No way he has access to real oud (which itself is a scarcity) given the pricing of his perfumes.

@Donkar, you've said a lot about the personality of the owner of the brand. Anything to say about the perfume, Onyx? That's what we are here for, isn't it? You know, the perfume?

@retrobane his fragrances are lab tested to show the concentration of oud in them and onyx has 5% so it does contain real oud and you can smell it in the fragrance

People getting slagged off for reviewing the company. There doesn't seem to be anywhere you can get info like if you your order will actually be delivered.
