Oud

2026 ATH Oud. A wearable every day Oud, with depth, charm, a hint of dates, and a smooth underbelly of vanilla and sandalwood. This does not hit you in the face with Oud, it is rich with depth and leaves a beautiful silage. It is a darker fragrance with a sweet edge, so keep that in mind. On the skin, it starts off sweet, and retains amber and sandalwood and vanilla notes, whilst keeping a back bone of Oud for longevity. This evolves well over time, from a sweet rich silage, into a resinous patchouli wood scent. Very cleverly crafted, and different from ATH Unicorn, which is an airier, overall sweeter fragrance than ATH Oud. You can own both without either being redundant. Either one of these is great for anyone bored with TF Oud Wood, as both are different from it, being richer and more unique. If anyone is comparing it specifically to Oud Wood, they have missed the mark, as that is closer to ATH Morpheus, and maybe they need to spend a bit more time exposing themselves to Oud fragrances or picking up the more subtle notes. Projection on this fragrance is decent for the first couple of hours, there is a lot of lift, leaving a silage in rooms in general throughout the life of it, and the skin scent remains hours after initial spray. For work, this is probably 2-3 spray fragrance, but wearing out and about I’ve stretched to 4-5, especially if I am outside. It is most suited to Autmn & spring, where it sits nicely. It cuts well enough for winter as well, although early spring in the UK and mid autumn tend to show everything this has to offer, and outside leaves a lovely trail of scent.

One of the first genuine Oud fragrances I had tried not only from ATH, but in general, and I have yet to find another that satisfies the way that this one does. ATH’s “Oud” is dark, edgy, bold, complex, rich, sexy, and slightly aggressive, but still extremely wearable. It’s not a barnyard Oud by any means, but the way that it is compounded with the Leather, Patchouli and Animalic notes gives it this authoritative character that definitely makes a statement. It reminds me a little as if you took Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather but replaced the dominant leather note with a bold Oud. It doesn’t smell anything like Tuscan Leather in aroma, but it definitely has a similar attitude and/or personality. This one is a special one for me and for those looking for a unique take on Oud, I highly recommend giving this a try. It also contains a 5% concentration of both Thai and Burmese Ouds which is verified on his website by third party testing ensuring the quality and authenticity of the Ouds and other Naturals that are used in his fragrances. To me that’s very commendable, especially in a world where you can slap “Oud” on just about anything all the while knowing it’s just an accord or synthetic. If you’re into darker, edgier fragrances, and obviously Ouds, you won’t want to miss this one!

I don’t know why there’s so much hate on ATH fragrances. I guess that’s very personal on preferences. I respect and adore his creations and his design ethics. He’s always so transparent on the ingredients he uses. I admit that I don’t love all his fragrances but I love a few of his so much and I love all of their qualities with reasonable prices even I personally didn’t like some of his fragrances. This Oud fragrance is not as complex as his other creations but it smells so high quality natural oud that is not easy to find one out there or it would be super expensive if other brands sell something with much less Oud than this one. I would layer this with some of my abandoned weak performance old fragrances to enhance the smells (smells super good especially layer with woody base fragrances) and boost my old weak fragrances with much longer lasting and project bigger. It does smells animalic and barnyard but I actually love it. This is how natural oud should smell like. You do have to like animalic and barnyard smells to like this one though. Be honest, ATH fragrances are not blind buying safe but really worth trying samples of them.

This fragrance in its current formulation as follows Top: Rose, Sweet Orange Mid: Date, Raspberry, Amber Base: Thai Oud, Burmese Oud, Benzoin, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ethical Ambergris Grown up stuff right here that can rival some of the top oud based contenders and I think its suitable for casual usage. Quite addictive and unique in its construction as I don't have anything similar nor does it remind me of another scent. Its jammy, fruity, rosy, beautiful patchouli but I find this to lean more masculine and with the oud used here I would describe it to be this synchronic mesh between a kinda funky, animalic oud and a tropical brush like woody oud, with the Burmese and Thai Ouds. I find this to be erotic and signature scent worthy. Top 5 and not 5 from ATH.

My first oud fragrance and I had no clue if it was any good. After trying A LOT of oud scents I can comfortably say that this is still the best I've tried. Oud lovers know that the material can differ substantially, Within this it is very smooth and pleasant not dirty or gritty whatsoever, so maybe Thai oud. Beautifully mixed with smooth leather, not animalic in the slightest. Further into development a patchouli and subtle rose will appear. Projection and sillage are both medium, longevity is about 9-12 hours depending on the weather, but this definitely differentiates depending on the wearer. Love this fragrance, but definitely in the niche category and will have love/hate reactions. There is an odd sweetness to it (raspberries?) but the true oud is unmistakable and haunting. It reminds me of an elderly gentleman I've known for years who spent decades in mainland China working with tea farmers in the countryside. It brings to mind aged "asian" wood in a well-loved/used kitchen with hints of well aged pu-erh chinese tea. It screams old Tibetan temples in the woods, intrinsically exotic and comforting at the same time. Not a mass crowd pleaser or compliment puller, but something that you wear for yourself and those lucky enough to share your fine sensibilities.

If this was in Australia I would have 10 bottles by now. Everything about this is amazing and I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it. I have tried about 4-5 ATH and this is by far my favourite. The dry down is very rich almost like a mandarin type of oud. I can't explain it well but it's amazing. Whenever I wear this I get at least 3 people saying I smell good that day which sometimes has come from strangers.

A masterpiece , probably one of my favorites. Roses, patchouli with hints of sweetness. It is powdery and complex. The powdery sensation is less on the dry down. It is versatile enough to be used in most settings. More male than unisex. You can tell that they have used quality ingredients . Some might use it as a base for layering but I will use it on its own. I just love it.

Wow I am pleasantly surprised by this fragrance. I only own four ATH fragrances (HC, HC Elixir, and Supernova) and this is my favorite I’ve tried. It’s different and unique. It does open a bit barnyardy but it goes away fast and allows the rest of the notes to appear. Love the animalic features and it’s very wearable! Highly recommend this fragrance if you enjoy Oud.

Leathery oud patchouli. Imagine BTV’s complex all cleaned up wearing a tux. Obviously better oud here. Out of 8 ATH fragrances I tried this could be No. 1 so far. Definitely worth getting a 10ml for when u want a bad boy fragrance. James Dean style. One word to describe this: Rebellious.

Hands down the best, most wearable, oud fragrance ever created in my humble opinion. Top 3 fragrance for me. It’s gorgeous. Everyone who gets a whiff of it thinks so too. Layered over a swipe of Ensar Oud Amber is an intoxicating, beautiful combo. Smells like ‘money’. 10/10 for ATH Oud.

I have the new formulation. It’s sweeter than I expected. The leather and animal facets take back seat. It’s mostly spicies and sweet fruits. Patchouli and rose.

This is a faceless animal. It's leathery, animalistic and heavy on the patchouli. The earthiness is dominant and it has a sort of ancient, tribal feel to it. Powerful and the notes blend well, but I feel all this earthiness needs something more sweet to redeem it. Filth has the jasmine, Patchouli Noir the chocolate and tonka bean... I'm pretty sure this was inspired by a Madonna performance with men in leather, animalistic, etc. Somehow this makes more sense when you picture tens of thousands of people in a huge hall, all single mindedly aimed towards the stage. Not my favorite by Aaron's, purely judging by wearability and likability. It does have some staring-into-the-darkness kind of appeal that may speak to me more the more often I wear it.

IMHO this is an amazing oud fragrance, definitely prominent and center stage with the other notes supporting, as opposed to other oud frags where it is left in a supporting role. Personally, I’m not a fan of a rose note in fragrances, and it is noticeable in this, but as he puts it, it’s “jammy” which adds a subtle sweetness to balance it out and not be so dry. I like to wear this casually on colder days. For an office environment I would probably lean to Oud Wood, and for dressy and evening I’d want something with more punch. But at home, running errands, hanging out with friends/family, this is amazing. Distinct enough to stand out, but doesn’t push any boundaries. Perfect balance.

Woody, earthy oud. Rose and leather. Musk. Patchouli bedding. Refreshing. Nice blend. A strong, unisex profile for people who don’t love oud. Mild barnyard vibes. Annoying amber note in the overtone takes some getting used to. Better farther away from the skin. Something like a pungent TF Oud Wood as it dries down. Borderline 😍.

Oud > Oud Noir which is helium and an oud note. Oud is leathery, animalic and 🌹 laced with dark, jammy rose-oud. Has a gnarly undertone which I can only describe as an amberous musk mixed with patchouli scented chloroform. Meh. Very men-only nightclub if you know what I mean. Still top 3 from this house.

This is the oud you want. The highest quality Thai oud, which has the best olfactory profile in perfumery. This one is done masterfully.

Beautiful oud Smells rich, high quality and sexy.

The reworked and beautifully packaged/bottled fragrance (different to the white labelled bottle pictured) is very good. It has a laboratory confirmed, high percentage of real, high quality Oud as do all of his ouds, with certificates displayed on the website showing the concentration used. Other scents that I have from this house are mentioned below. Onyx is out of this world gorgeous, an amazing scent and worth every penny. Animalix is great and does exactly what Aaron claims in his YouTube video (lengthens and enhances the performance of perfumes). Santal Extreme is amazing too and again, Aaron’s claims on that video are completely accurate. I would advise watching Aaron’s video reviews of his own work because they are honest/accurate in my experience with the 4 scents named here and they give context and perspective from the artist himself. I would definitely recommend trying Onyx and Animalix to get yourself started. I’m on a mission to try the 10ml bottles of most scents that Aaron sells - I wish he did a monthly subscription!

I bought this because it was the only available one in the store. I didn't like it as expected as I don't enjoy this scent profile. But it is a nice high quality fragrance. Performance is insane, this shit is not even a fragrance, its an olafactory tattoo. I sprayed in 6 hours ago and despite scrubbing furiously with soap it didn't go away. I think I need to learn to live with this smell now.

A different take on oud, very woody hay-like smell, a feature of some Thai ouds. It's a very wearable and non-challenging oud, it will suit Western buses. Nothing like Promise or Oud Aquilaria.

There's sour weird note that I don't like, it reminds me of wet hair/salon smell.

To me this is so nutty... Like proper nut smell, smell of peanuts, or cashew, or almonds, that's for the first hour. Then it's floral and it keeps being nuts and florals.. I may be not very good at detecting oud. I like it, its good, its different, but it smells like baking peanuts. I don't know how I feel for this fragrance, I can recognise the quality, and it lasts forever...

It has this musty smell to it, an old person smell. No, not mature old but OLD old. Like you’re visiting your grandparents at the home smell. I wouldn’t want to see other people smelling like this, really. Performance, I can’t really say as I always scrub it off when I put some on my skin.

I'm not sure quite why this was released, it feels very unfinished. Jarring, for sure and if you like contrasts then it can be enjoyed. But the rose-oud theme has been done to death and this feels like an effigy.

Dire. I paid £44 for 10mil expecting a beast ... flat boring at so overhyped I may never watch the ‘reviewers’ again

I have the reformulated version. I don't get any leather. What you get is an opener that is heavy in raspberry (think Mont Blanc Individuel), benzoin, oud, and rose. It'll dry down to a benzoin, oud, patchouli frag. Far dry down (ie next day) will be a bit of oud, sandalwood and a noticeable ambergris. Projection is very solid and I get a good 8 hours on skin. This isn't a particularly difficult oud to wear, very safe to wear for all occasions. As for ATH's recommendation for layering. I wouldn't as one spray of this will completely down out his other ouds even at a 1:6 ratio. Edit: For those who are curious what this smells like. This is extremely similar to Frederic Malle The Moon. However ATH Oud is more beefier, denser, and longer lasting.

I have the original formulation. And boy it's easily the most hard core oud fragrance I ever tried (and I tried countless). By the smell of it it's evident that there's a huge amount of actual oud in this juice (claimed to be 5%). For me the best part of this already very well done fragrance is the dry down where there are tons of oud and patchouli. It's acrid, bitter, dark, sour, animalic, dirty in the most addictive way. The only complaint I have as with most of ATH's original creations is that this is pretty much a skin scent. I'm spraying in summer and the silage is pretty mild. You really have to put your nose close to the skin for the smell.

Despite the name Oud, i find it more of a leathery patchouli fragrance. Patchouli, leather, oud, rose are what i pick up and in that order. I find it very similar to Aqua Regia Kemi Blending Magic. I've not had the xerjoff version. The Kemi and possibly the xerjoff version might be a better bang for the buck.

Huge Dose of Isobutyl Quinoline. But well blended, I get a hint of hindi oud like aroma not sure which Thai Oud smells like that. Nice and unqiue take on Oud not just typical rose patchouli oud scent but falls in same family

The new version smells like cutting wood at Home Depot 😁😁😁 People will think you are a carpenter
