Raw Cherry

I surprised myself with how much I love this stuff. It’s POWERFUL. Oudy, a Thai Oud, slightly raunchy, thrusty, woody. The Cherry is the LOUD post-agricultural variety, a cherry bounced back through the isles of consumer products like sweets and lip-balm, one that is more at home in a night-club or in a city park-lavatory. The cherry lingers with those woodsy notes all the way through. You can apply this conservatively in the evening before you hit the pub, fresh slightly citrusy... And at 5am when you stagger out of the clubs, this will still be there at your side to carry you, warm, comforting, rich, maybe a bit of rose, vanilla, nutmeg and cocktail-boozy. Alternatively, if you live in the country, you will catch whiffs of this around you for a good while as it to wafts to well outside your paddock. This was not how I expected it. more like finding a real fun and personable playmate from well outside of my ‘normal’ social group. Aaron Terence Hughes creations are hedonistic, extroverted and contemporary, one to take with you into the madness that we live in.

Received my bottle today and my first thought is that TF Lost Cherry, which was too syrupy for me, will never be compared to this as they are so different. The opening is insanely sexy in the dirtiest way possible. It gives me that vibe of a black latex costume with a whip, though ofc it is unisex. I absolutely agree Raw Cherry has got that similar (but less) booziness and sparkling effect in Initio Side Effect. The booziness is more subdued towards the drydown though. The cherry is dark, sour, bitter, juicy, and just irresistible! While the Thai Oud, which becomes more present after the opening, smells woody, bitter, dry, green-medicinal — not barnyard type. The proportion and the contrast between the cherry and the woody aspect are perfectly balanced. This has quickly become one of my favourites, despite the fact that I always avoided cherry in fragrances. Beautiful scent to seduce!! Update: This oud sticks on my hair even after the second wash

Wow, this is a great one. Opens with mildly sour and juicy cherry, along with bright mandarin. Throughout the life of the fragrance, there is a very green and dry oud note that has really grown on me. Then, to darken the fragrance a bit is dark chocolate and tonka bean, which also adds a subtle and sweet gourmand aspect to it. The performance is fantastic. Lasts from morning application until night, at which point it finally becomes a skin scent. It's very addicting and I bought a full bottle within one day of owning a sample. I only wish we got more of the vanilla and amaretto in this one, but maybe that's just not shining through as strongly on my skin. I didn't expect to enjoy a cherry scent after hating Lost Cherry as much as I did, but ATH has pleasantly surprised me, once again. My third ATH, after Daddy and Homme.

This is the best Cherry out there. It starts off as a quite sharp cherry liqueur then quickly dries down to a smooth vanilla/chocolate woody scent, with a beautiful cherry note that’s not to cloying and stays there till the end. The silage is insane and if I’m wearing it my family can usually find me in a supermarket by following the scent trail! you definitely don’t need to overspray, this one is a less is more type of scent. For me it’s not an everyday wear as it is so strong it could be a bit overpowering in an office setting and I tend to put it on every so often in the winter, for either special occasions or a date night or if I want to mix it up a bit and nit wear my dumb reaches.

ATH send me a small sample of this amazing fragrance, I used at work the other day and I was blown away how good this is, super long lasting and fills the room, I've been told I smell amazing, and I could smell myself the whole time. Longevity: 5/5 over 10hrs Sillage/Projection: 5/5 5-6 hrs with beautiful, nice trail behind the wearer. Compliment Factor: 5/5 totally a compliment getter, pleasant scent. Price tag: 4/5 a bit expensive but I will pay the price 50ml/145£ I consider buying a bottle very soon. Update 28.11.22 Bought my 50ml bottle, extremely happy, one of the best choice I could do, totally worth the price.

I love RAW Cherry, it has similar DNA as ATH Oud Noir where Raw cherry is sweeter and more animalic without being dirty or banyardy. It has more character and more niche. I love how these 2 have distinct sour note from the orange/mandarin. The only cons with ATH perfume is the limited availability especially when you are outside UK & US. The price in Australia is absurdly expensive because people need to import it, also it doesn't help that ATH doesn't release any 50ml bottle this year. This fuels the hype and the FOMO with his fragrances. Hopefully his fragrances will be more available in the future.

I have an original batch from 2022 and I must say this has stood the test of time. Whenever I want something out of the ordinary, leaning mysterious yet alluring, this is what I reach for. Liqueur soaked cherry wrapped up in an oud and tonka candy shell. Evokes images of velvet and leather , scarlet and royal purple , baroque and Victorian. Please refrain from using more than once a week , it can become very sickly so a signature scent is not advised. Lovely to pull out every once in a while for a dress night out.

I never felt the need to leave a review until I smelled this fragrance so here is my first one! This is absolutely outstanding. I can’t even explain how happy I am I purchased this as it was a blind buy....I love cherry fragrances so I obviously had to try this one. I don’t think it is similar to ‘Lost Cherry’. This is way, way better. Nuclear performance which is definitely not the case with LC as we all know. Both my husband and I will share it. Perfectly unisex in my opinion. Thank you ATH! Amazing!!!

My favorite cherry based fragrance outside of Bodacious or Ruy Lopez. This is a cherry amaretto sour done right garnished with citrus. Bitter dark chocolate and oud keep it from going too sweet and gourmand giving it a masculine edge yet not taking it too dark either because the rose and vanilla kind of sit as a layer in between the other elements for a smooth well blended experience. It goes in the direction of ATH Daddy in the late dry down. Fantastic stuff.

Ok i did say side effect was my fave frag on my last review but... this has taken the crown. they do have similarities it must be why they’re both first and second place. this is dark, masculine, slightly woody and oudy while still being fun and sweet as the cherry is bouncing off the darker base. slightly boozy, sexy, great performance. 10/10 can’t wait to try more from ath.

Absolutely love This fragrance. long lasting, sweet and inviting with some dark chocolate and oud notes that compliment well under the sour cherry blast. my only negative takeaway is it gets quite medicinal, almost sickening after the 8-10 hour mark - It lasts TOO long, which I never thought would be a bad thing. I wear many different fragrances to work and this is the one that everyone loved and talked non stop about. Even what I consider my favorites did not command the attention this did. My first impression of it was meh, but after some time with it I came to really enjoy the tartness and slight oud (non barnyard) in the dry down.

Raw cherry is a Fantastic long lasting fragrance, so much better than TF. Aaron really does know how to make special fragrances. Anyone try his homme if you love iris it's exceptional, really buttery creamy iris, hard candy/elixir and onyx extreme is amazing!!

I love raw cherry!! My partner is a huge fan of it as well. Super long lasting stays on clothes for ages which I love!! I prefer this so much more than lost cherry by Tom ford. Don't overspray this as you definitely won't need much for this to fill a room.

I mean this in the best way possible. Smells like a Christmas bouquet of fruits with the cherry in the front. Nice scent. Everytime I wear this I think of Christmas. Definitely a colder weather or evening frag for me

The fragrance itself is fantastic. But the performance is feeble. Strong projection at the beginning but drops to a skin scent by the end of the first hour. Zero sillage. A real bummer...

Love it. The oud is a bit medicinal and it's very well blended. I usually don't like medicinal notes but it is done in a way here that makes it very smooth. Lasts a long time too.

Really nice true unisex cherry fragrance! The oud and almond give the scent a certain dirty/wild feel to it. Great for dates, intimate situations, and formal events!

Fck this juice is good. a couple of shots max followed by a couple of some TF for softness. yowser!

Beautiful perfumery, bottle worthy for sure

Little disappointed in this as based on some reviews I thought this might become my favourite cherry fragrance. It's not. It's good, but Lost Cherry is still my number 1. The cherry note smells a bit synthetic and it smells a little bit like one of those sweet vitamin gummies for kids. Lost Cherry has that slightly more realistic and natural-smelling dark rum/liquor and cherry combination that is intoxicating and addictive and maybe even sexy. Something is missing from this one. I wish the vanilla and the oud were intensified to round it out and give it depth. All I'm smelling is the sharp and sour (really sour) cherry. I hope ATH will create another cherry fragrance, something sweeter, darker and more natural smelling because I know he could create something truly incredible. This smells unfinished and a little bit rough to me. Maybe the problem is with my skin? Btw, this seems to be nuclear because I only sprayed once on my arm to test it but when someone walked in the room they thought it was really strong and I also got 2 compliments already, so that's a big positive. It's unisex, leaning feminine. Like, not a love. 7.5/10

Love the ATH house, I actually like this one, but I don't think it suits my style that much. Objectively speaking, this smells like Skittles (the red cherry flavor one), I can't make out other notes other than cherry and cherry liquor. Maybe powdery chocolate in the background, but that's about it. The performance on this is INSANE, projection wise it's pretty strong without being overwhelming, and longevity is absurd, lasts more than 12 hours definitely. I could still smell it as skin scent 14 hours later. 7/10 frag I'd say, I'm hoping this one will grow on me with time.

I was sent a decant of this to try by a friend who knows I have a weakness for cherry fragrances and this one was a belter. I own quite a few fragrances with this note but some of that can come off as medicinal or overly sweet/almondy. This is not that this is beast mode cherry with what I’d say are dark notes it’s not too sweet it’s and this stuff performs! I sprayed it before work and could still smell it in the evening after long day. Even better i could constantly get whiffs of this in myself which like in a fragrance. Enjoyable and full bottle worthy.

Wasn’t a fan of this fragrance initially, but it’s really grown on me. You definitely get that sour cherry opening, heavily backed by woody undertones and that signature Aaron Terence Hughes musk. I can’t really pick out many of the other individual notes, but everything comes together really well. It performs for a long time and leaves a noticeable scent trail that gets you noticed for smelling unique. Probably more suited for date nights or evening wear rather than everyday use.

Pretty good. I like it... it's not in my top ATH fragrances, but I liked it enough to get a 10ml bottle. A lot of cherry and oud, and some chocolate, it's quite dark. The little hint of the amaretto comes through too. This one is more masculine than Lost Cherry to me, that one is quite feminine leaning in my opinion and the cherry notes come across differently in that this one is more rich. Slightly spicy kick too, but only a little. A strong performer as you'd expect from ATH

It smells a lot like Lost Cherry, but not as sweet. I love Lost cherry but find it to feminine, so that’s why I like this as a man. I think the dry down is better than the opening. 4/5

Dark cherry liqueur with vanilla, almond and oud. I thought it didn't project after 1-2 hours, but 4-5 hours after application People around me could clearly smell it.

Adore this fragrance but gave it to my man because I find it a bit masculine compared to my other cherry fragrances. I opted to keep Forbidden for myself instead.

Mixed oud. Tart cherry. Chloroform-like ambroxan. Chocolaty undertone. Makes for a weird fragrance. But if you love cherry, this could be a lot of fun.

I tried a few ATH perfumes and found them a huge disappointment, bordering on believing the whole operation as a house was a scam/pee take of any customers. Several friends, and myself, found them all to smell cheap, super synthetic, too loud or lacking in the notes apparently included. This was one of the better ones for sure, although I cannot help but believe that the perfumer himself has many paid shills with reviews left online for his work and influencers that are encouraged to leave him favourable reviews in their online content in exchange for freebies. The hype is just hype. Also, after listening to the guys own channel it is veru clear he is someone who pretends that he understands and knows more the ingredients used in perfumery than he actually does. Honestly, there's better perfumes out there by a long way, which exist with better quality ingredients and more skilled blending than these offerings. Save your money!

This isn’t what I expected. I love a cherry smell and didn’t want to fork out for Lost Cherry so I opted for this but it’s totally different. It doesn’t scream cherry at first, in fact if I didnt know its name I wouldn’t have guessed it was a cherry fragrance. It’s very dark and dense. It’s a bit lipsticky but it’s so heavy I find it hard to wear. You really have to get your nose into it to make the cherry come through and then it’s not a fresh fruity cherry it’s artificial and more like Haribo cherry jellies. Performance is great, it’s actually a struggle to wash away and it does project well. For me it’s just too thick and heavy and a bit headache inducing. I can tell it’s made of quality ingredients but it’s not for me, I’ll save up for Lost Cherry instead. Scent: 6.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Projection: 8/10 Versatility: 3.5/10 Price: 6/10 Overall: 6.6/10

this fragrance is great but personally its awful for everyday wear, after a few days i started to feel sick smelling it. The price is decent for what u get but u would only ever need to wear this at like a date or something as its very very strong overalll its an 7/10 fragrance nice cherry scent with some oud in the back aswell

oud lends a medicinal earthy note. probably one of the nicer cherry scents I've smelled but personally is not something I would wear. smelling it again, it is really nice but i definitely could not wear it tbh. this will be a gem for someone however

A bit uninspiring after experiencing this from the sample. I do get the cherry, for sure, but there's nothing really about this that wows me or moves me. Not bad by any means, just a bit dull. Not sure what else to say!

It’s too sour cherry for me.....

Not all ATH are bangers Raw Cherry has the best cherry note I've come across in any fragrance, it's realistic, it's red, fruity, juicy and unlike other cherry fragrances it's not syrupy. That's where the positives end. Right after spraying there's a slight bug spray like smell to this that's very off putting. I have no idea what it is but I'm assuming it might be the citrus notes with the boozy notes giving off this effect. It goes away in a matter of minutes but there's still the second problem, there's a very strong nutty smell here that overpowers the cherry. Even in the air I pick up this nuttiness more than the cherry itself. This I have no idea what might be the cause but it's really distasteful and ruins the fragrance for me. It's also especially annoying because I also detected it on paper but it subsided quickly and turned into an actual boozy cherry scent instead of staying as a nutty one. Not sure if Aaron's fragrances benefit from further maturation but I'll leave it in its small cylinder for a few weeks and revisit it to see if it has improved. EDIT: It smells much better almost 5 hours in, but I'm not wearing a fragrance that needs that long to become palatable. Performance is good, as expected from Aaron's stuff. Sillage is dense, projection is moderate to strong, definitely a few feet from what I can tell from my sister telling me it smelled really bad. Longevity I think will reach 8 hours without much of a problem but I'm probably going to scrub this off, it's really starting to annoy me.

Raw Cherry deviates significantly from ATH's established style. Unlike the intricate complexity typically associated with his work, Raw Cherry primarily features notes of sour cherry and cherry liqueur, accompanied by an unusual cooling sensation. The resulting fragrance presents as sharp, linear, and, in my experience, not particularly appealing on the skin. It appears to be more of an experimental concept rather than a fully realised fragrance. Consequently, my rating for this product is 4/10.

Finally I got it after all those hype on Youtube.. to me it is just sweet aromatic water in the bottle..with no projection and sillage..

smells awful on me, like a synthetic cherry popsicle, plastic, very sharp that hurts my nose, in the drydown it evolves into some patchouli notes way more wearable, i've smelled it on other people and it smells fantastic though, so it must be the chemistry with my skin that didn't work

Nice to see you again, Shawn330! Shawny has a bit of form with 'disagreeing' with reviews that aren't exactly like his. He did it to me and mine a few months ago on a Kemi scent. I mentioned that there was fake oud accord. He then said I didn't know what oud was. I mentioned all these oud harvesting brands. He replied with etsy and James Barry. He then said there was no way I could even afford Ensar Oud. I posted a photo of my Ensar Oud collection with a personalised message just for Shawn. He then deleted all of his review posts. Aside from the ridiculous nature of this all, Shawn, you need to just let it go. People aren't going to agree! And even if they did, agreeing with you doesn't make them 'right' -- it's perfume for goodness sake! Every scent with a corresponding "This perfume reminds me of" match with 100 thumbs up matches is (most likely) accompanied by a similar amount of 'thumbs down'. Learn to regulate your anger at anyone who has a different opinion to you...

Not sure what is with the juvenile reviews, but Aaron shares lab results of all of his fragrances. It is definitely oud though I can't smell it as prominently in this scent as in some of his others like Boss Bitch and Luna etc. For Raw Cherry itself, it is realistic juicy cherries to me and slightly effervescent as someone else pointed out, but not as much so as Hard Candy, the other one he put out around the same time. It's not too complicated, smile inducing, and with some sex appeal, but I just don't know when I want to smell like straight cherry. I think I prefer the chocolate cherry oud in Boss Bitch, but that is not something that anyone could wear every day, so this gives you the same note in a more flexible accord.

This entire house is a huge scam. All very basic and boring fragrances with insane resale prices. It’s honestly so angering that a guy like ATH, a perfumer who does great and informative reviews on other fragrance houses on YouTube, keeps putting out new fragrances and limited restocks of previous fragrances making everyone go insane clearing out his entire website in a matter of hours where they then resell the fragrances at exorbitant prices on eBay or Mercari. About 6 months ago I blind bought a 50ml of Hard Candy Elixir and didn’t think anything special of it at all and immediately resold it for the same price I got it at (retail) because I’m not an asshole. What an absolute fucking joke.

Smells like his signature gourmands; reminds me of patchouli noir with cherry added, I get something earthy strange which is oud peaking through the opening but it quickly dried down to a nice patchouli cherry scent. I am not picking up on any oud in the drydown which is strange I have oud in it’s raw form and it’s undetectable here very well blended. Smooth sweet, but sharp and woody. Very interesting accords it’s definitely his signature running through this. He’s simply a great perfumer! This is way better than that Tf water this has lasting power, and much more real cherry experience at a much better price point I support! <3

I purchased it but my wife kidnapped it from me. Since the opening is extremely feminine. The drydown is unisex for me, maybe a bit masculine but maybe a little bit.. because of dat dusty rose and oud balance in the drydown. The cherry remains during the whole journey but mixes well with the oud.. never thought it will be so good! Not my cup of tea.. it’s to feminine for me. Longevity 12+ hours on clothes even weeks Sillage: 4 hours strong projection and after that becomes more close to the skin. It’s a real date frag if you are looking for that kind of occasion

Pokey ball at it again the reviews speak for the quality and your wardrobes show the true colors... again a beautiful perfume!! Pokey ball is mad because he cannot afford Kemi, so he definitely can’t afford AHT... lol!! The perfume review troll gang in the comments section! Ramsell was also called out in the comment section they just all be the same lonely kid wishing they had perfumes! SMH pokey ball you do realize you cannot post photos to reviews? And even if I deleted my reviews did that delete your photo of your non existing collection lol !!!???

Great perfume! Don't listen to that RamsesII guy, he's bashing every expensive perfume and complains that he isn't getting compliments with them. He looks like the anonymous dude mixed with a cheap copy of clark kent trying to be mysterious, something tells me he's just a rich entitled dude with a big ego that thinks he's all that but doesn't realise that he's just a douche. He only comments on things he doesn't like and has 0 positive comments about his favorite fragrances. This dude hates niche fragrances and he doesn't even know it himself.

2 points regarding the BHT content. 1. If perfume is your hobby you are probably aware that the IFRA are responsible for consistently ruining some loved classic fragrances. They do this to keep people safe but are generally frowned upon as a nuisance and spoil sports. 2. If you watch ATH YouTube reviews you know how talking about safety compliance is a constant part of his reviews. If those two points don’t make you feel safe about his products just google “aaron Terence Hughes BHT” He made a video addressing this

Interesting cherry fragrance with outstanding performance and, unlike many others with that note, doesn't lean feminine on my skin. Accompanied by sweet notes, dark chocolate and maybe patchouli with a subtle boozy note. Stumbled upon a sample and now looking to buy a full bottle, which is proving difficult in the EU.

Very solid fragrance with stellar performance. My only gripe is that the cherry is being too nice and letting the amalgamation of fruits take more credit (like a powdered fruit punch) for the composition. There's some brightness there with the citruses. It reminds me of crushed sweet smarties candies! 8 out of 10
