Supernova

Ok I'm gonna try and make it easier for you to make your decision if you're on the fence. Ignore the complete idiots here trying to bash ATH. I was in that camp who thought this guy was probly gonna scam ppl and make money because I didn't think Aaron would be this competent a perfumer (wrong assumption without any evidence). I ordered a 10ml official decant of this and was blown away. I have over 150 frags now and counting. Now, it all comes down to this. IF you are looking for a scent in the profile of Aventus/Hacivat/Cedrat Boise/ Explorer/Supremacy NOI or even a blue scent profile like BDC or Sauvage...THIS is the one to get instead of any of them. 1: This is the highest quality. It is full, dense, complex and amazingly fresh. The bergamot and grapefruit Aaron has used on top is absolutely amazing and I haven't smelled this exact opening anywhere. 2: This is a beast performer in such a category. All of the other frags I've mentioned above have been reformulated multiple times and are now scented water. 4/5 sprays of this will last you all day and this radiates. I've gotten massive compliments from this and I never get bored of wearing it even though it is a very common scent profile. 3: This overtakes Aventus and all others in terms of scent profile alone...I FEEL. I overpaid for a 50ml bottle after the 10ml decant immediately that's how much I liked it. ATH hasn't reinvented the wheel nor done something original...sure. But he has made the best mass pleasing scent in this profile I believe and with stellar performance to back it up. You can wear this anywhere anytime and not have to think twice. When the perfumer hasn't tried to do something different....don't compare it with truly original creations. Compare it with what it is trying to achieve and he has done that with flying colors. Top notch stuff.

This fragrance does not include Black Currant, Pink Pepper, Moroccan Jasmine, Birch, Cedarwood or Ambroxan, period. Yet despite that it's being hailed as an Aventus Clone because apparently Aventus was the very first(note sarcasm) to create the note of pineapple, and if a fragrance utilizes pineapple it is automatically a clone. Is it similar to Aventus? Sure. It has a ton of citrus with bergamot, grapefruit, Mandarin orange, and orange. Aaron also added Ginger that give it added effervescence or fizziness. Instead of Ambroxan, he went the natural route with Ambergris. There is quality here which is sorely lacking in the later batches of Aventus since Creed was bought out and sold to a conglomerate. It is brighter, and scrub all you want, it'll be on your skin until you bath. It lasts all day. Is it dissimilar to Aventus? For one, it lacks that sour green note that Aventus has which I particularly cannot stand, so, props! What Supernova does smell like is a lot of Aaron's other summer banger fragrances like Guapo, and sadly the discontinued Neon.

It's about time this was on Fragrantica (it was actually launched in April 2023). One of my favourite spring/summer fragrances, although it can be worn anytime really. Lasts all day on me, even on skin, projects really well and smells amazing. I don't personally think it smells all that similar to the likes of Aventus, Hacivat, etc. I understand why it has the comparisons, but for me this does it's own thing and it stands apart, I like it more than any of those. The notes that stand out most to me are the ambergris, pineapple, grapefruit, ginger and orange. Orange is currently quite low down on the votes list which surprises me because it's quite clearly one of the prominent notes to my nose. The citrus notes in this are so juicy and mouth watering! This fragrance easily gets into my top ten and I would highly recommend. My manager in work liked it so much that she bought her partner one for his birthday! 😂 Easily worth the price tag, considering this is one of ATH's best and given the performance, £99 for 50ml isn't too bad.

Edit: Disregard absolutely everything I said previously. I wrote a negative review on this fragrance regarding its poor performance and scent profile for both me and my mate I bought it for. It used to smell like a cheap, generic Aventus clone with a smoky citrus that lasted 4 hours at most before becoming a skin scent. A month and a half after first trying it, the fragrance changed significantly. Longevity is amazing, projection is moderate to strong. It is not a clone of anything. It's not even close to being a clone of Aventus or Hacivat. To me it's closer to Elysium, but not a clone at all. Very juicy photorealistic fruits with a great ginger undertone. I get the hype now. Checked in with my friend now and he's very pleased with it too. I did not think I'd have to let an ATH fragrance macerate but if your ATH is smelling odd then just let it sit there for a month before selling. The way it is now it is a 10/10 summer fragrance for me.

A relatively strong and fresh citrus patchouli fragrance. Opening is some of the most zesty citrus I’ve smelled. Once dried the pineapple becomes more apparent and the base has loads of quality, cleanish, patchouli. The other notes like ginger and ambergris play their respective supporting roles with aplomb. Plenty of lift and sparkle. It’s a bit much for everyday but makes for nice special occasion fresh scent. Layers well w/Chanel’s og Allure or ATH’s own Ozone. I’ve been wearing this for almost a year and while I’ve restricted myself from buying new bottles until I use the ones I have, I’d break that rule for Supernova. Repeat purchase worthy.

The famous overplayed Aventus DNA... But that doesn't mean this fragrance isn't gorgeous. Bright and juicy pineapple/citruses all the way, a marine vibe also comes in with the ambergris (which makes this fragrance smell a little bit like Clive Christian Town & Country) and oak moss (which is not unbearable like in Hacivat for some people). I do wish longevity were a little better although it can last about 8/9 hours (7 hrs on average) with nice projection as well. This house has it's scents based on familiarity, but they never miss. Out of the Aventus DNA fragrances, this one has to be my favorite. 9/10 rating.

Recently got this, on first impressions, this is just a WOW! fragrance, beautiful fresh juicy airy citruses with a touch of salty air is what you first smell and it creates a gorgeous sent bubble around you, the effect is effervescent as it pushes off my skin. In the mid dry down the citruses calm down and more sweet fruit accords come through and the base is showing itself more as I get a salty ambergris, a little pepper and a clean musk. So far I am loving this fragrance and I will do a full review soon after I've spent more time with it. to be continued...

Supernova is a great spring/summer freshie option. It starts with a blast of citrus, primarily orange, paired with the spiciness of the ginger right from the start. It smells clean and fresh with just a hint of spice; it’s really a beautiful fragrances. The only drawback is the price; it’s expensive. I see a lot of comparisons to Aventus, and while they share some things in common, to me it’s closer to Ex Nihilo’s Hedonist. If you can get over the price, it’s a great summer option. I would rate it 9/10.

Just got this today and it really does seem like the love child between Aventus and Hacivat. You get the sharpness and citrus of Hacivat and the fruity, smokey, musky DNA of Aventus. People should really stop saying if it’s better/worse than either. It’s just another option and if you enjoy it, it’s another viable option that is surely higher quality than any of the dupes. If you can find it for MSRP I’d say it’s worth it 100% if you don’t own either Aventus or Hacivat.

I'll echo everything @Steven221283 said regarding this. The fruits, ginger and ambergris in this hit amazingly, and they smell like more expensive versions of these notes compared to similar built frags. Tons of compliments, and this def has very strong projection. The only downside to this fragrance is the digital negative attention it attracts in an online format from the mentally-ill dummies who hate on Aaron in YT comments and on various websites.

Got a sample of this with my order of Hard candy, it was labelled 'SPN' so I didn't have a clue what it was. I sprayed it on my arm regardless and wow - the citrus opening is even brighter than Aventus and has fantastic performance. It turns out this is extremely hard to get but no doubt I'll be trying to get this at the next drop. I also wish ATH did 100ml bottles because I would love to use this as a daily.

I used to be an avid wear of Creed Aventus but no more. The current formulation and performance is a complete joke for its price. Supernova reminds me what I loved about the old Aventus. The citruses in this are some of the nicest I have ever smelt in a fragrance and it LASTS!!! This is definitely blind buy safe and worthy of being a signature fragrance.

Grapefruit, pineapple, and musk BOMB! Very easy to wear and lasts 10+ hours on skin...longer on clothes. Although, I do not recommend spraying on clothes because it will take a few washing’s to get rid of it! It’s not the most unique fragrance in the world but what it does, it does very well. It doesn’t smell generic and will garner compliments. Cheers!

I don't understand the Hacivat comparison, Hacivat is an oakmoss bomb, Supernova is not. The way they're both blended and balanced are nothing alike, if anything the closest fragrance to this is Cedrat Boise but even that has a different overall profile. Supernova is all about the citrus/fruit and salty ambergris supported by a clean musk.

Finally got my hands on a bottle. I got the new 100 mL bottle. I've always been a fan of blue frags and aventus DNA. I really like this fragrance, its fantastic!! Maybe I'm crazy, but this fragrance (if I were forced to compare) smells like a mix of creed aventus, bleu de chanel EDP, and elysium. 9/10

Supernova deserves the crazy hype that it has!! I have both supernova and the body wash, better than hacivat for me (although quite similar) long lasting on skin and clothes, which is impressive for a freshie, aarons best freshie along with haze extreme imo, great work

Oh NO it has heavy pineapple so it must be an Aventus clone!! Although it does have similarities it is no clone. The added orange, ginger, and ambergris make this really nice. Mass appealing DNA with great performance! Great fragrance overall.

@karam alshaikh It's nowhere close to Hacivat.. Hacivat is an oakmoss bomb and Supernova is grapefruit all the way... Pineapple is the only link between them but you could argue the same for Aventus as well.

People don't understand how similar this is to Greenley. If you have them, smell them side by side. Greenley is way closer to supernova than any of the creed suggestions.

This is everything newer aventus batches can't solve. It lasts, citruses are mouthwatering and drys down to nice patchouli and oakmoss base with a pop.

A really great perfume, fresh with very good performance it just has one major flaw for me, that is the nose blind it can bring me.

ah cool finally added to the site. had this fragrance from first release. what exactly are people bashing ath for? ''not a real parfumer?'', ''making a clone fragrance?'' oh dear... i'll give it to you straight. this is my first fragrance of his that i bought on release. i was curious and enjoyed his videos at some point. honestly i dont care much about the youtube sphere but he is still a breath of fresh air for fragrance youtube compared to whats out there. don't like his personality? who cares the guy is doin wat he likes. cringe this cringe that. not fanboying him but there too much moronic snobs in this community that burst their forehead veins over nonsensical things. ok now back to this fragrance. i purposefully picked this one cuz as stated it takes an already established familiar scent profile and turns it on its head for a price offering that is more than reasonable just to see what this ''fake parfumer'' is about. and i tell you now this blows everything out by not even a little bit. the use of ambergris and pineapple doesn't automatically make it a clone of something. if anything you can come and do it better than those before. plus offer actual high quality ingredients in more than generous doses(he states a full lab listing of ingredients). matter the fact, aventus never used ambergris. as stated by the reviewer below. ''Aventus/Hacivat/Cedrat Boise/ Explorer/Supremacy''. i smelled them all and they all have very distinctive attributes to tell them apart. if you cannot smell that you just haven't trained your nose enough. but yeah if anything this is a original. not a clone of anything. and just done better. simple as is. if you scroll down a bit you see an elusive aventus goblin in his natural habitat exclamating his superiority! ah yes.. truly a sight to behold! just wait more reviews will come sayin the same shit. like its so difficult for these people to base their opinions from observing stuff attentively without bias. the opening here is one of the most refreshing uplifting high quality realistic bergamot citrus i have ever smelled. the mid is a realistic juicy ozonic pineapple. muted apple. look, lets be real here even aventus at its glory days never had pineapple like this and i smelled bottles from way back. this doesn't have the smoke or birch ofc. its going into a more ozonic direction with ginger. that hasnt been done before. actually of the other frags i mentioned above. have their own original take on the dna. but yea all that on top of a nice strong base of musky skin like mineral ambergris with a effervescence kick of clean ginger all the way thru with an oakmoss, patchouli and a fuzzy white musk. it preforms well but the projection sits bit closer to the skin until HEAT hits you. cuz of how dense the base is. its a VERY high heat fragrance. like over here in west europe summer doesnt reach that high but when i wore this to countries that reach high 30+ consistent? this shit blasts in such a magical way. throw some mediterrean wind to carry the scent even further. it was amazing to wear. and for the price? maybe a bit over priced but justified to what it can be compared to. i had so many compliments even when temperature wasn't that high. even if it sits closer to skin it lasts 7+ hour for a freshy there so many opportunities for the wind to catch it and tickle someone's nose with it. honestly just credit where credit is due. the guy is obviously very passionate about what he does. and that shows. the bottles. nice and standardized presentation. robust quality. nice atomizer. magnetic cap inlaid with glass gems. in a simple cushioned cylinder packaging. overall i had a good experience and i'm definitely open to try something else he made one day. i can assume with popularity and such it is possible lot of fragrances he will make will not meet the supply / demand and will reformulate but either way. still something nice is being created. anyways respect. be nice. peace out.

I wear Aventus a lot, I’m a big fan of the DNA. I figured what better fragrance to blindbuy from ATH than an Aventus inspired one right? Nice juicy opening, the bergamot is really good. The mid is also nice. Come the drydown, it’s some sort of synthetic bomb. Had two of my buddies smell this and they said it smells like Axe. My girlfriend loves Aventus on me, yet out of 100 or so frags in my collection she absolutely hates this scent. The drydown is a screechy synthetic mess, the kind that burns your nostrils. My coworker also hates the smell, I’ve never received such negative attention from a fragrance before 😂. Long story short, I am very disappointed in this. The drydown is nothing like Aventus, it’s more of a take on the Hacivat strong oakmoss drydown with some white musk thrown in, not balanced at all. Not fresh and musky birch like Aventus, just a really harsh and unpleasant dry down overall. Such a shame since the opening is def nice and juicy. It’s hard for me to dislike an Aventus inspired frag, I was very surprised and let down. Massively overhyped and not worth at all what resellers are scalping them for. Better off just getting Hacivat. Great performer Great opening and mid Disgusting, purely synthetic and screechy drydown No point in monster performance when it smells terrible imo. Think of the drydown as putting 5 sprays of CDNIM on your arm, in one spot and smelling it up close, will burn your nose, that’s how bad it gets. I’ll say the drydown comes off even more synthetic than CDNIM. Even CDNIM is less harsh come the drydown if sprayed accordingly.

Pretty good juice! Smells like a mix of Hacivat, Aventus and even kind of YSL Y with this apple shower gel kind of fresh scent mixed in there. It is Aaron's take on the DNA with high quality ingredients and a more reasonable pricing. It opens with a lovely pineapple like Aventus and Hacivat but also with a very prominent green apple scent like Greenley and YSL Y. It then settles into a very salty kind of creamy ambergris and some oakmoss though the oakmoss isn't very prominent like Hacivat. The projection is not all that and the longevity is decent but it does leave a small trail. It could also be that I've gone noseblind to fragrances like this as they are quite ambroxan heavy. Still got me a compliment when I hugged somebody even when I couldn't detect it on myself anymore. If you compare Supernova to Aventus then Supersonic is more like Aventus Cologne and I prefer it over Supernova a decent bit as the drydown is less green smelling and more creamy.

My favourite so far from ATH. Beautiful, fizzy & juicy. Strong performance & longevity. Mass appealing. One problem though....smells almost identical to something from the Pineapple Vintage line up, so much so, that if you told me it was from Parfums Vintage, I would believe you without a shadow of a doubt. I'm trying to work out if ATH is a clone/inspired by type house because there are so many that remind me of already made frags & this one is clearly based on the Aventus/Hacivat DNA. I really like this but I pause at the thought of a purchase because it seems like a clone....and I hate clones lol. If that isn't a factor for you, this is well worth trying out & a beautiful fragrance- Just don't expect something unique or something you've never tried before because this ain't it!

Supernova by ATH is a solid fragrance. The opening defo gives me Aventus vibes. Fresh, fruity, a little smoky,but as it dries down, it shifts and starts smelling a lot like Tygar to my nose. So yeah, it’s definitely not the most original scent out there. That said, it still smells really good and wears beautifully. If you already own Tygar, this one might feel a bit redundant, but if you don’t, it’s a great way to get that vibe with a slightly different twist. In typical ATH style, the projection is substantial, and the longevity is impressive. Solid 8/10 for me.

It's a little generic and follows a similar formula to Aventus and Elysium, but it is high quality and smooth. It opens up with a blast of citrus from that bergamot exclusively made for this house, which then quickly transforms into a pineapple + sea salt + musk scent. You can get nose blind to it, but don't let that fool you, it's projecting and people find it pleasing (I tested it with people around me). It's long lasting with great sillage and a pleasing and attractive scent that has been done by many other houses, but at least it's done well here. 8/10

Why do I get a strong vetiver tone in this one as this isn't listed as any of the notes? Is it the oakmoss? Strong performance and do get big whiffs of pineapple a few hours in wearing this but I still get some sour vetiver (which in general is a note I don't like). Edit: A few more hours in and now smell the oakmoss as base instead of what I thought was vetiver. Very strong Aventus vibes, whoever claims differently clearly hasn't smelled Aventus in a while.

This smells like a juicer version of Creed Aventus Cologne with less musks at the base, although I prefer Creed AC a lot more. This scent is uplifting, but it does not project as well as I’d like. Mandarin and ginger are the main notes that come to the party that is known as Supernova. Good fragrance, but nothing groundbreaking or something that smells special that I haven’t smelled before.

Lemony and fresh. Nothing special in my opinion and not a rebuy bc no point in owning this and Elysium. But I will say the green is almost like a fresh fruit loops scent so definitely good but not something you need if you already have something in this fresh citrus lane

Its a really nice mass appealing fragrance on the same lane of Hacivat and Aventus. It leans more towards Hacivat as the oakmoss really stands out on my skin. Even thought it is an aventus like fragrance its different enought to be its own thing.

An Aventus style fragrance, it's brighter, fruitier and less smokey compared to aventus and a lot of it's copies. I don't pick up the pineapple too strongly. It's a good performer and good contender for your Aventus-esque of choice.

Really enjoying my 10ml, definitely gives aventus/hacivat vibes but kinda has a bit of its own thing going on. Compliment monster and good performance to boot! If you're interested, I suggest grabbing a bottle for sure

This is a nice fragrance. But i feel like if you have smelled one from ATH, you've smelled many of his other creations. This isn't the case with ALL of them. But they are quite similar.

A pleasant enough fragrance. But I find it redundant to own if you already own any of the haze fragrances as many of them smell far to similar to justify owning them.

Hacivat with toned down oak moss, add some apple, heavy ambroxan. It’s great!

Nice scent, good performance, just doesn’t have any « Wow » for me.

Another Aventus dupe, ironic considering Aaron goes on about there being too many Aventus dupes (love his content though). It just smells like a synthetic bomb version of Aventus with a little more oakmoss in the drydown, projects loud and lasts a long time around 8+ hours, perfect for clubbing but other than that I don't see myself wearing it. 6/10

After wearing Supernova occasionally for half a year, I've come to the conclusion that it's just not it. Whatever Supernova attempts to do, Hacivat just does it better, no way around it.

Super citric, spicy B/O-mobile.

This is the second ATH fragrance I’ve tried and the only word I can use to describe them is boring. The first one was guapo. It smelled way too similar to Dior savauge so I got rid of it. Supernova is also pretty boring because it dries down to a very heavy musk and Ambroxan. I want to try more from this house but if they’re all boring like this I probably won’t. Maybe I’m not a fan of the ATH DNA. Hopefully supernova grows on me.

Aventus Cologne knock off should be called super synthetic. He is an influencer not a real perfumer he turned up the synthetics in his fragrances for sure that’s why it’s to strong for my liking. Aventus cologne Ginger, mandarin, vetiver, patchouli, pineapple. Aventus apple, bergamot, oak moss, Ambergris, musk. Those are the notes he took from Aventus/Aventus cologne which is his base to build around. he just added sea notes and grapefruit. took away blackcurrant, birtch, lemon, jasmine. Same goes for supersonic he just switched the notes around lol both are ok but nothing ground breaking because it’s copy and paste.

Has that white musk dry down like every cheap drug store / clone fragrances. It’s overdosed with that white musk and it’s super synthetic smelling. Glad I got it for $98 at Maxaroma a while back... and that was too much for this fragrance. Can’t believe people compare it to Aventus. It’s not even close. Middle eastern fragrances do a better job at that than this.

I think aaron applies a more scientific approach to fragrance than actual natural ability while alot of top perfumers walk around the French countryside getting inspired by naturals and sitting in a field designing their fragrances on paper aaron is in a chemistry lab working like hell to bring a scent together. Nothing wrong with that actually as he does use high quality ingredients and has a good nose. But you can just tell its not natural ability aventus was designed and put together in a completely different way after you sample fragrance long enough you can tell the difference. I bought supernova as a blind buy and although its good it really does feel knocked up and manufactured in a month. It just doesn't have that special feel I watch alot of Aaron's videos on YouTube and he ends each one by saying he would change the fragrance hes reviewing by adding this or that. Then you are literally just redesigning a scent in theory and I sometimes wonder if this is actually how he constructs his fragrances because there is no denying that supernova is on the same train as aventus with aventus being less synthetic and more narural. I would much rather wear aventus and it lasting 4 hours than a chemical bomb lasting 8. Fragrances containing mostly naturals cannot last and its creed ethos to make classy sophisticated scents for me you can tell. My point is Aaron's work is good but the fragrances have a more chemically driven feel to them I would buy aventus forever no matter the batch variations but I wouldn't buy supernova again !

This entire house is a huge scam. All very basic and boring fragrances with insane resale prices. It’s honestly so angering that a guy like ATH, a perfumer who does great and informative reviews on other fragrance houses on YouTube, keeps putting out new fragrances and limited restocks of previous fragrances making everyone go insane clearing out his entire website in a matter of hours where they then resell the fragrances at exorbitant prices on eBay or Mercari. About 6 months ago I blind bought a 50ml of Hard Candy Elixir and didn’t think anything special of it at all and immediately resold it for the same price I got it at (retail) because I’m not an asshole. What an absolute fucking joke.

Very Juicy Grassy Orange Zesty Aventus fine tuned ambroxan note but...in this first batch not as screechy of an ambroxan as many others from Aaron, a bit smoother, silkier, salty fantastic dry down more bright but gentlemanly not dark or mulchy . I’m Not sure which batch I have but it lasts about 12+ hours on me and pumps out occasionally an arms length. DONT spray on clothes the scent will not come off after 2-3 washes.

Yeah just another aventus clone with nothing seemingly special about it to differentiate from the tons of others. Maybe the huge fans of the aventus DNA can appreciate some nuances of it, to me it just smells like a smoother hacivat with oakmoss reduced. Doesn't really justify the huge hype.

I remember when ATH reviewed Montblanc Explorer for the first time (and deleted that video later on) where he literarly made a scene out of yet another Aventus clone crossing his path and said something along the lines how pathetic it’s to steal ideas of others. And here we are...

Dudes were going freaking BONKERS over this in frag comm. Bottles popping up for sale for all of 5 minutes with a high shipping cost to boot! I’d love to try ATH, but I don’t know if I ever will, with the limited availability and high price tag. 💔
