Yessamin review is correct. I guess it will be down to each person whether this sort of scent is perceived as nice or not. As a person who likes nature and horses and smell of leather (despite being a piscaterian), I am in awe of this scent. Whereas Narciso R. musks are very nice but cloying and seductive (in an unwelcome way), here the musk is carnal and purely animalistic. From the opening I have to say the aroma is of animal private glands, urine and hay. Indeed I found myself immediately in a stable and actually gasped to myself in disbelief. The pungency of the initial blast quickly mellows onto the skin and to me becomes a unique " I am wearing an amazing niche scent scent, and am not shouting about it, just passing by and intrigue you with it and you would neve ever have a clue which " fragrance. It does smell subtly expensive and boutique, which it is. As I am wearing it it is a calming scent, reminding me of being in an old wooden library, museum, leather book linings, old book pages, geological specimens, an old traditional church or a wooden lake cabin, and obviously horses, saddles, brown retro clothing. Would wear it to a quirky coffee shop, nature walks and holidays, and above afermentioned places. I think it is also workplace safe and would project a warm milky herbal aroma a arms length. Something about it reminds me of Kenzo Elephant and even of Portrait of A Lady, however more subdued and bearable though. In latter stage, and especially if reapplied it becomes an incense with deep myrrh scent and dark rose, suitable for an evening out, be it a quality restaurant or a theatre or a vibrant party/soiree. It will only be strong for a while and become a subtly radiating skin scent, an aura. As with all Abaco perfumes, this is elegantly blended to perfection. Would recommend to over 35yo, both men and women, who are well-travelled, independent thinkers and animal/nature lovers who like a bit of a twist in a personal scent, and a niche one.

So sublime, sensual and seductive. This is one of the loveliest fragrances I have ever owned. It is intimate, subtle, warm and comforting and like to sleep wearing it! So alluring. It must have pheromones in it. Gorgeous. This must be the eponymous 'Perfume' in the Patrick Suskind Novel!

This is the thing about these Abaco fragrances: Sure, the atomisers are bad and have the habit of disassembling themselves and somehow winding up inside the bottle. And, fine, the caps don't hold in place properly and are made from ultra low density carcinogenic plastic. Yes, the bottles are stock, and the labels (which are printed on laminated loo roll) might be slapped onto them without much care. And, sure, it may well be true that their brand can only be found on the fifteenth page on google, and that the only sales the company has ever made are to TJ Maxx for tax evasion purposes. But one thing makes these little bottles of joy stand out! The performance: it's average.

A musky rose with powdery and animalic undertones. It's more of a skin scent, and has a warm comforting presence. It's my favourite so far from this house, although there are only a few winners among the lot. Far lighter than the excellent "Rose Muskissime" by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, but in the same vein - Jamily is a warm rose/musk/patchouli. The opening is decidedly dull and a bit watery, but it warms up after half an hour or so into something lovely.

Wow. Immediate thought when spraying was very rose and burns your nose a bit which I don’t like. It’s that grandma, powdery, mature kind of smell - I’d imagine rich elderly ladies wearing this. I get rose and musk straight away but no pear and a kind of urine-y scent (is that the musk?) and then the urine scent kind of intensifies before dying away... with the rest of the perfume. It very quickly becomes a skin scent which I was grateful for and it becomes way more subdued, all I can smell now is rose. I think you need an acquired taste to appreciate this, it’s a ‘heavy, full’ scent in the sense that it’s not clean, sharp or woody/spicy but it’s not cloying or headache inducing. The only good thing about this for me is the bottle design, very minimalistic and chic and would look good alongside other Abaco Paris perfumes but other than that, it’s currently a miss.

Waste of money. The scent doesn't last.

This does not smell like Narcisso Rodriguez. To me it smells like the pungent smell you get when entering an equestrian shop, this is the type of leathery saddle aroma you get from this fragance. I tried to like it but I just can’t. If you are interested in swapping a full bottle please message me.
