Telluride

This is my go-to winter fragrance, as I think the warmth of the leather scent is complemented by cold air. I live in Colorado and it gives me the mountain town, cool, crisp air kind of vibe. I think it's a sexy scent that can be worn during the day, but I prefer it for evening events.

This is nothing particularly special, but it is beautiful. It's leathery and spicy, and there's an appealing musky sweetness. This checks so many stereotypically masculine boxes, and yet I find it to be really beautiful on me, especially when layered with softer florals. And make no mistake, this is a scent that begs to be layered, lacking much distinction on its own terms other than a well-chosen, well-blended melange of fairly typical notes. Abbott NYC doesn't do "unique", but I find their scents to be sturdy and reliable creations.

A nice simple and comforting fragrance. I find myself reaching for this when I don't know what I want to wear. Telluride has a dry and almost dusty ambience which I enjoy. On my skin the amber shines through especially on the dry-down, and I can smell hours after a couple of sprays. Ultimately, I cannot say that I am in LOVE with this scent, but I can say it's a nice middle of the road, which I enjoy!

Got the samples in yesterday and currently testing them. I actually like this one pretty well. Reminds me of Prada Luna Rossa but just a bit more bitter. Real nice longevity and pretty decent sillage. Nothing too unique and doesn't really evolve very much. 6.5/10

My second favorite from the collection. Spicy and soapy - maybe a touch of something bitter. Not sweet. I've smelled this before, but I'm drawing a blank on what it was. Anyway, nothing earth shattering. Good scent for a designer price. Very masculine. 6/10

On first spray, this is gorgeous but something about it makes me think it would be a better candle scent than an actual fragrance that's meant to be worn.

A wearable suede that is as easy to put on as well-worn leather boots. It's a dry, warm, and spicy leather that isn't overpowering or overly masculine. On my skin, I don't get much tonka or amber. Like others have said, Telluride isn't reinventing the wheel, but it is a "sturdy" and probably a reliable layering scent. It reminds me of cowboys.

This is my 5th fragrance in my Abbott NY discovery set of samples. So far only 1 has been remotely feminine. I know that their fragrances are listed as unisex. This one strikes me as masculine. And it's really not very different from the other Abbott scents that I've tried. Short duration on my skin. On to the next sample.

As the 2 guys mentioned below, it's nothing unique. Categorized as a leather scent because of the suede note but it's not pronounced. I would say it's a "nice" scent as well but when considering the $65 price tag which is not bad for niche but this scent does not have anything niche about it. I would say it's more of a spicy/woody frag as the sweet notes are not detected either. Longevity seems above average and it is quite noticeable but the notes are not noticeable which is a pity.

A soft, quietly spicy suede fragrance. I agree that it is not the most unique, but the quality is there. There is no harshness in here, no dusty pencil shaving that I often smell in these types of fragrances. I suspect that's because sandalwood is used here instead of other harsher woody notes. The cardamom comes in pretty strong with a bitterness at the opening that I actually enjoy. It has a bite that is still able to be ameliorated, unlike some other spicy notes (like black pepper) that are more common in masculine fragrances like this one. Telluride wears close to the skin, but I can smell it personally on my skin - like a soft skin smell. The suede really melds with your skin and makes you feel like you are wearing a smooth suede jacket.
