African Night

I ordered the women's discovery set and confused this perfume with Night Blossom. I read the description for Night Blossom, it said to be sure not to wear it at work, for it can cause anger in coworkers. I was perplexed when I smelled African Night and instantly had the urge to wear it to work. I abstained for a few days, until today, I cracked. As I was smelling it on myself, I could not understand how such a light, calming, tea-like fragrance could make the people around me agitated. Plus, I wasn't picking up any tuberose like I had thought I read in the description. So I pulled up the website and read African Night. To my surprise, it was a different description that encouraged wearing at work as it was produced as a stress-relieving fragrance. I've been surprised at how it radiates. Many of my other fragrances from La Via del Profumo do not radiate as much as this one, despite many having a stronger scent. The ylang-ylang is very lovely paired with the rosewood. The citrus gives it a nice freshness without being outright citrusy. I barely smell the rose except for a bit of a powder on my skin. I enjoy this perfume and am already worried about what I will do when I run out of it.

Cheerful floral. Youthful and optimistic. Centers around that lovely ylang ylang featured in Tasneem, only here it is lifted upwards by citrus and rosewood. Short lived but lovely

So nice! Very soft yellow floral, well built, both feminine and elegant. It stays close to skin and I can smell it on myself. It's a perfume that can be worn for any occasion and become more of an intimate scent rather than a perfume to impress others. I smell a very vague recall of Acqua di Stresa, but these perfumes are made in a different way and they are like precious a scarf you wear for your own confort.
