Oud Caravan No 3

This was my first Oud. I like the funk, but the drydown's pretty great too. It's kind of "fudge-like," in a way. Honestly, besides the dates (which should've been listed), it's a pretty linear fragrance, but it's also incredibly well balanced & not very sweet. Think it almost gives an illusion of sweetness b/c of that "date fudge" note. Maybe difficult to explain with that, but I know he did something cool there. Anyway, I think it's really a very beautiful fragrance, & I'm glad to have lost my oud-virginity how I did. Oh yeah, one last thing: don't be shy when you're spraying it or you might not fully "get it," & what's the point 9f that, you know? Enjoy!

FOLO ... For Oud Lovers Only ... absolutely gorgeous. This is the kind of Oud that hugs you and gets you in your feelings.

Got a small decant of this. Very strong opening notes but became a skin scent after 2-3 hours. I like it but for the price I was expecting much longer performance.

The notes listed is very shallow, this does have other notes besides oud, I'll take a blind stab at it, notably a very fine bergamot, sandalwood, a whisper of animal musk, ripe strawberry, and I also seem to get the softest wink of orris. For the sake of some kind of useful reference I'd mention Shagya, just in the sense of being in the same genre. It's complex and 3 dimensional in a way that only a proper oud fragrance can be, in addition to being a carefully crafted composition using rare ingredients. This is the most natural fragrance in my collection. The smoldering, funky oud has blue cheese facets right out of the gate, but swiftly develops into a deep and dry leathery accord. I'm fascinated by it, and it stays fairly linear and wears close to the skin. I find this to be masculine with its lack of a light feminine component. This could definitely be used for layering with such however. This fragrance is exotic, it dries down to leave a faint animal enhancement to my skin which belies my rather tame urban lifestyle, and the woody citrus aura lingers 14+ hours, but is so smooth and natural. This is a scent that penetrates beyond the conscious, both deeply alluring and confounding at times, this might be what you smell if a middle eastern prince is showing you his finest horses at his vacation home on Palma. This is for the connoisseur. If you think Creed or Penhaligon's are the bee's knees, this is not for you. If you are fascinated by aroma, and want to experience natural materials, including oud, this is one of the finest I have become aware of. They offer very accessible smaller bottles which is a huge bonus.

Dark, exotic. Incredible, almost fecund, strong oud opening. It smells as if you were harvesting raw oud from an ancient agarwood tree, wet resin on your fingers. Once the initial power subsides, a heady balsamic aroma joins and forms a resinous wood amalgam with a slight camphorous tint. Close up you can smell dynamic nuances from the natural force of the oud. Lasts for hours. A must for oud lovers. The perfume of a mystic . . . or Indiana Jones seeking the "heart of darkness".

As most have stated, this is a nice and potent oud that is fairly linear. I'd say that it is a dark, musty oud with a smokiness to it. It certainly has the bandaid note in Gucci Guilty Absolute. I think there is a frankincense note to it also that comes out after the oud dissipates.

I know y’all are lying... this straight up smells like blue cheese or the fridge where Jeffrey Dahmer kept his victims remains. Absolutely disgusting to me!!!
