FBI: Fabulous Blend from India

At first sniff i definitely get the chocolate note but with lots of smoky oud and leather. It has a slight sweetness from the amber but overall it smells very dark and has a almost tar-like vibe to it. It just smells dark and mysterious. Performance on my skin was good, especially the longevity.

This smells like Al Quds mixed with Sheikh al Faransi. The darkness of Al Quds mixed with the chocolate of Sheikh al Faransi. Very nice but expensive.

Big time Oud smell. With some chocolate notes. A dry fruity leather. Love how the kid stands out

I have this oil. Ambergris is one of the listed ingredients. Must be where the dusty scent comes from. The dusty spicy scent develops with time. Longevity is ok. I don't wear it as often as I find the scent harsh. I discovered another perfume house here in Fragrantica named 'Agarscents Bazaar' and must say they offer Ambergris based scents that are truly beautiful, spicy and mild. Longevity is also on the list. Looks like I'll be walking away from Abdul Faransi and will be trying out the new house. I've had one to many doozies with some of AKAF scents.

To me this smells for all the world like reading old books on an ancient leather couch. So soothing, calming and earthy. The is an Arabic amber—the labdanum-benzoin kind-with dirty leather. It plays the soft vanillic element of the benzoin over labdanum, balancing it with the leather. Worth every penny but if you aren't comfortable with animalic notes, this is not for you. If you are familiar with the brand, this is the same leather note from Baghdad. Moreover, I think this will age very well.

i have a number of oils from AKAF and also of agarscentsbazaar -- and i definitely prefer AKAF over agascentsbazaar (although i must admit that their ambergris based scents are very nice.) but for mukkhalats i'll take AKAF anytime. extremely gifted perfumer, anthony marmin is.
