beautiful, rose, sweet, slightly spicy, ambery fragrance. I bought a couple samples from this house and this is one of my favourites. I am not used to middle eastern perfumery but this!!!!! It's the rose, amber and spices for me. this lasts over 12 hours on my skin depending on where I apply it...my skin is very dry so it tends to eat fragrances. One of the earlier reviews said that it wraps you in a scent bubble and I totally agree. You can smell this wafting all around you for at least 4-5 hours, then it reduces to something just above a skin scent. On clothes, this baby last dayyyyysss. I wore this today mixed with Araweelo to work eh...who was smelling better than me??? nobody! I was a sweet, spicy, ambery, rose sack!

Glorious musk lollies with a complex, spicy progession, diverting to woody towards the end and finishing with sweet amber. Sophisticated with an interesting development. Definitely fascinating. This is one of those smells that will register differently in different cultures. Australians will get the lolly vibe and it will seem more frivolous I think to us than other cultures without exposure to musk lollies. This is definitely more feminine than masculine in a Western context. It is also a winter scent though I wear it in the heat and don't find it cloying. The dry down is long and magnificent, full of vanilla elements.

I am Australian and as soon as I applied this fragrance there was a burst of Musk lollies. This is everything an Oriental perfume should be. Musk, Amber, Sweet Rose, Sandalwood, I can't stop smelling my wrists. Being a perfume oil a little really does go a long way and I just apply this behind my ears, wrists and a little on my cleavage. I adore amber/sandalwood perfume, this is in the genre of Opium perfume the way it used to be years ago but this is better. I wore this 24 hours straight and it did not lose it's aroma until I showered the next morning.

Sweet, balmy, powdery Taif rose, with a gorgeous labdanum amber in the background. This one is actually pretty sweet, not in a gourmand way though. Hind has a lot of sillage to be honest, it wraps you around in a fluffy cloud of rose, amber and sandalwood. It feels comfortable and luxurious, I love it ! Edit : So far, this is my favourite of all the Al Fanransi's I've tried. It's not listed in the notes, but Hind becomes an ambergris fragrance after 4 hours : plush, toffy-like, slightly salted ambergris. Huge love for me !

This is one I'll always want in supply. It is so beautiful! I'm a spice lover, especially sweet spices, and this scent is the best done I've found. Sure there's also ambery, woodsy, rosey vibes, but the spices dominate to me. Yes, it's minty too. Some spices have a minty/menthol vibe so it could be a hint of black cardamom in there or something. This scent is hard to define but very enjoyable. This and Istanbul are my favorite of this house...and I'll always have some in my home, as long as they're available.

AKAF brother is playing magic with different ingredients and this one is another masterpiece by the house.. Very long lasting on cloths even in warm and humid weather here in south asia(pakistan)

Very nice, natural and long lasting. Most dominant are the taif rose, sandalwood and amber. Leaves a very long lasting trail on the skin of an almost fruity sweet ambergris. Lovely quality.

Hind is fascinating, and every time I wear her she grows on me. Perhaps a love soon.... For the first few hours Sillage is moderate to big. If applied with a mere dot, you could easily wear in an office setting. Longevity is impressive, however! Dry down is indeed marvelous, and lingers for hours... and hours. First off, a bright, herbal, woody aura that reminds me of the natural foods stores of my childhood. The herbal element is strangely hard to pin down, though I do smell mint distinctly during the first few minutes. Perfectly blended.... I would say sandalwood, oud, rose and cloves (the latter in small quantity), along with green notes and a kind of forest-like or herb garden mystery. Totally unisex at this point, and not very balsamic at all. Higher pitched in aura than the accords led me to believe - naturally sweet - as if mixed with a drop of honey. And THEN. Hours later the dry down, for which Hind is rightly praised! Deep, warm, sweet, skin-like amber. A hint of wood remains, but otherwise the transformation is complete. We have entered the forest, only to find ourselves in the cottage of the witch, ready to ply us with dark, deceitful goodness. A true adventure, from start to finish. I'm a believer in the quality of this house and the construction of Hind in particular. (Not to be confused with Oud Hindi or Oud Hindi Royal, for which the house of Abdul Karim Al Faransi is also known.) Recommended not so much for beginning attar enthusiasts as for moderately seasoned newcomers. Or anyone who yearns for an Indian themed attar with a distinct NICHE aura. :D

I bought this in a 3ml Bottle from the AKAF shop in Birmingham. How it smells On my skin, it has an initial smell of spicy rose with a warm amber vibe with great sillage after applying to pulse points. After a while, the sandalwood is more noticeable and the ambery spice is still there. It becomes more of a skin scent after a few hours. The oil is well blended with the perfect proportion of each not making this smell unique and classy. It has a slightly eastern Arabic characteristic, hence the name Hind. Where I would wear it: Although I bought this in spring, I imagine it to smell great in the winter and autumn months on a warm scarf and coat to inhale that blissful fragrance on a cold night, it's a really warming smell. I also think it's really nice to wear on a date. To be honest, it's easily worn anywhere anytime. Conclusion: Great value for money and a great addition to my collection. It's unique and not overpowering to other people around you. I find myself topping it up every few hours to keep the projection.

I received Hind as a free sample with my AKAF order. At first, I was sceptical about it. The scent opens with a sharp mentol note which strongly reminds me of a medical ointment. Then (on my cool skin and in cool weather) you can smell a mixture of notes reminding me of a Lush shop where you get everything at once. But as Hind warms up, it turns into a real beauty, and the further down the road, the more beautiful it gets. I could still smell it on my clothes the next day, and it was divine. It's sweet and woody, but not gourmand, and at the same time it's fresh. Maybe it's the rose that gives it lightness and freshness, although I cannot distinguishing it as a separate note. Hind is definitely oriental, but not heavy. Love. Update: I've just realised that the dry-down reminds me of my beloved Yvresse: sandalwood + amber + a bit of spice and sweet fruit. No wonder I was so drawn to it, although Hind is, of course, more oriental.

I dont know what element is that in the dry down of this attar that smells so good . In the first four hours its heavy indian or hindi oud with mix of maybe sandalwood and a little rose .after 4 hours it smells really nice. Base notes are really good on this one . And it lasts for more than 14 hours . Most long lasting of all the attars i have from this house. Projection is also huge for first 4 hours . Overall - 7.8

I too get mint out of this, it is more of a menthol smell, that along with a nice sweetness and can even detect a hint of cinnamon. i get good projection out of this, just from applying one dot, which was surprising.

I pick up a lot of mint in this even though it’s not listed. I get some rose, spice and some woody notes. Not my cup of tea

This is a mysterious beauty, at first it evokes indian temples with its incensey notes. After the first hour, I get some smokey rose, sandalwood. Then this turns into a combination of medicinal smell think ayurvedic stores. Guess that's why someone was reminded of indian food stores. This perfume then turns into a sexy ambery chocolatey woody on me. This is a perfume that really develops with time.

Anyone else smell mint in this one? It smells like chocolate mint to me...
