Nedjma

Beautiful smell. It is described as Oriental but this could put people off. I don't particularly find it too oriental. This would appeal to women and men who like Ysatis by Yves St Laurent or Narcisso Rodriguez. In my opinion anyway. I love this scent. It's soft, romantic and comforting. I first tried it in cold weather but it's best in warm condition. Lasts much longer and smells stronger. I personally can't smell any of the citrusy fruits and the vanilla is a soft one, acting as a link between all the ingredients. Amazingly well blended as all the AKAF perfume oils. It would work very well on a man as well as a woman. Top quality. Personally makes me feel very womanly. Although it's soft, it's got a strength of character that makes it stand out. Suitable for office wear as it's really not offensive. Magnificent!

This is very interesting. It was a shoot in the dark and my first try at this house. Definitely a good experience once the samples rested a couple of days (that's all it took). This one is tropical oud. That's really the best explanation. As the notes pyramid says, it's the oud and Ylang-Ylang that are the stars of the show. It lasts quite a long time and dries down fairly linear. But it's so gorgeous, who cares? A super take on tropical. Very well might find it's way onto my want list.

This fragrance for me started with a burst of cologne, followed by sharp green Citrus, Oud and the Wood notes. Once my skin warmed to the perfume I could pick out notes of Bergamot, Rose, Musk and Amber. Smells too Masculine for my personal tastes but is still a wonderful oil from this amazing brand. I need to mix it with one of my more floral oils to round out the edges of the sharp notes. Lasts a good 8 hours at arms length and I can still smell it on my skin the next morning.

Great attar this one. Really nice fruity sweet oud just wish it would last longer. I have been wearing this alot recently in the summer time and get 3-6 hours performance, sillage is a bit soft also on this one but its such a great summer scent.

This is very similar to "Tunisian Sandalwood" from Attar Bazaar. A very soapy, powdery, floral perfume that is firmly anchored with a woody base, with musk weaving in and out. It's very much a conventionally "Oriental" fragrance. When a Western person typically thinks "Oriental" perfume, this is what comes to mind. It's a very beautiful, very wearable, very clean, very attractive aroma. It just might be too powdery for some.

Starts off surprisingly fresh and gives off a clean soapy vibe. Although the opening is quite floral and sweet (the standout here being ylang ylang), the drydown with its prominent soft oud and dreamy sandalwood base will appeal to the lads as well as the ladies.

Nedjma is very soapy, so that it smells like expensive soap with an oriental but fresh vibe. Not my favourite scent from AKAF, too soapy for my liking.
