Al Ghar

Update: Al Ghar is a complex bitter attar from ASAQ. An unusual blend of rich oud gave the aroma a unique heavy languid note. Tamed Hindi oud, smooth and dry, with some slight bittersweet coffee vibe with sandalwood, everything feels very realistic and natural, the rose just adds a tinge of brightness but it fades through the mid, it feels slightly fruity and powdery as it dries down with velvety soft sweet slightly barny oud that remains, overall, I really wish it lasted a bit longer, that would put this a notch higher because this scent really has character and doesn't compromise on quality at all, like others from this house. In the dry down has faint similarities with Ajmal's Oudh Mukhallat. 7/10

It does have a fair amount of rose in the opening but it is not overly girly and the sandalwood and oud seem to soften the roses punch. This to me is pretty darn good sent. Its oudy but not animalic at all. Its woody and dry oud. Than sandalwood adds the creamy and warm notes. The rose gives it a light floral smell after dry down. If you can still find it its not a bad oud to try.

So strange that this was a scrubber for me. Whatever makes this have the dusty feel was irritating to me and I couldn't smell the whole composition very well at all. Try before you buy.

Soft musky dusty dessert spices, powdery amber (not overly sweet), and a woody non-stanky style oud outline this oil. I feel wrapped up and warm as after a good massage. There's an oiliness about it and it feels a little more like a massage oil than a personal fragrance, but that in no way gets in the way of the golden sandy tinged comfort this oil provides. It's not high art, but it's hitting those dopamine receptors. Good at the price point.

From the firs try i liked it, after wearing it once i disliked it and finally i love it again =) It reminds me a large cup of warm late infused with vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and cream at the top. Oud in this blend is somewhere very deep inside if there is any... it comes out on dry down. May be it is Cambodi, very sweet and dry fruity=) Some other notes are: sandalwood, clove, milk chocolate and spices. Good to wear during a cold weather.
