Al Kaaba Blend

Attar Al Ka'ba by ASQ is an authentic Middle Eastern blend overloaded with sweetish and floral notes. This is something that you'd either love or you won't like it at all. I'm familiar with this fragrance from my younger years so I enjoyed it a lot. I'm into dark, loud and authentic Middle Eastern and Oriental blends so this perfectly fits the bill for me. Al Kaaba Blend by Abdul Samad Al Qurashi is a woody musk composition laced with florals. It is sweetish, but like most Middle Eastern fragrances, the sweetness is not cloying. Al Kaaba definitely casts a positively-charged aura around you. We cannot help but think good thoughts while wearing Al Kaaba, perhaps because of the blend's roots in tradition and spiritualism. Enchanting. This is a blend which mainly seems to contain notes of Honey, Patchouli, Vanilla, some florals (hard to pin point any single floral note) and woods. It's blended in such a superb manner that none of these notes stand out, rather a very strong sweetish and somewhat dark, red colored scent emerges. It has amazing longevity and decent sillage. Attar alkaaba is to me a very sweet, but not cloying, fragrance perfect for the autumn months. The most prominent notes to me are honey, vanilla and patchouli. Sometimes on my skin, it can come across slightly chocolately and floral. It reminds me of walking through the fallen leaves with a hot chai latte on a crisp, cool fall morning. The sweetness and spice are balanced wonderfully, and although marketed as unisex I find it leans slightly towards the feminine. It's quite an interesting blend, and very powerful (not much is needed at all, and I find it trails behind me for the duration of the day).

This is maybe a good place to start if you want to try genuine dark middle eastern oil scents. Its not overwhelming but carries a kind of nostalgic power. Not their most inventive or exciting, but high quality and on the right skin (very adaptive) it is powerful. Musky and hints of floral and sandlewood and oud. But much musk. Excellent.
